  1. Refubish next year to save up some monye, then build a new ride the year after.
  2. I think you were taking the mickey out of Nebuchanezzar
  3. Does anyone have any ideas for whole new rides or Themed Areas at DW? Post your detailed Idea here. I dont just want to see a one line suggestion of something like "I want a rocket coaster", I want to see how you would theme it, where it would go etc. One of my Ideas is to build on the Farmyard Friends Idea by making it a whole themed area, named something like Sunny Farm, ok, maybe something better. Model T lane would be moved here and be re themed to be like a ride around “grandpas and grandmas old farm” (it would still keep the model T name) with some nice sights along the way, the track would go around a new ride for that area, named something along the lines of Whirlwind or Willy-Willy. It would be a Maurer Sohne SC2000 and the theme would be a Willy-Willy causing mayhem on the farm, The ride would lean toward a more comical feel and a funny hillbilly soundtrack would play on speakers around the ride (but away from the station or queue so you don’t have to listen to it repetitively) The spinning motion of the cars would further add to the whirlwind theme as it would feel like you had been caught up in it, which would be the whole story of the ride. Various fibreglass farm animals and fruit crates would be hung on wires around the ride at odd angles so they look like they have been sucked up by the wind and some would be positioned close to the track to give near misses. The ride would be a good demographic buster while still being a good attempt of fitting in with the theme. Fruit trees and other farm paraphernalia would be placed around the base of the ride and the station would have a rustic feel. The track would be light brown and the supports would be dark brown. The size is not too bad, its comparable to an olympic sized swimming pool. Moving off model T to a new spot would free up the area around TOTs launch, which would be used for an X sector style area encompassing the TOT and the GD and some other new thrills following the same theme. What are your ideas?
  4. Wait.. everyone missed on giving me the stat i need the most, the launch length.
  5. LOL yeah, they are associated with another thing........
  6. Slick, youy have lots of DW contacts, just tell them about here, and also, people who go to DW often could buy RC.com.au and wear them, it would market this site and people would know that you like coasters (in the same way people who go around wearing Holden caps like Holdens.
  7. I didnt nkow you could post without registering, so if you wanted to say something anonymous you could just not log in. Edit: this post is old and no it didn't go ahead.
  8. Cool, Im raiding the stock cage at work
  9. Problem with that is the extra elements would have to be equally as big which would make costs sky high. An airtime hill in that long and low shape would be optomised for a long period of airtime, you might find you would be floating for quite a few seconds.
  10. Maybe some rides could have signs or videos in the queue showig how loading works, this could help maybe.
  11. didnt some of the big slides get moved to puzzle park in Murray Bridge, I used to live there and the slides were MASSIVE.
  12. Cool, thanks, I needed that info for a TOT recreation in NL, but since you have more experience with the ride you will probably end up making a better one. As for TOT costing $16 million, well, for just $2 million dollars more you could get a floorless the size of hydra (7 inversions), which would have a ride duration 6 times as long as the TOT and a total train capacity four times more than TOT.
  13. I have got some questions about GD and TOT What did TOT cost? What did GD cost? What is the lenght of the launch not incuding the station or the slope to vertical? What is the radius of the slope to vertical? What is the length of the station? How fast are you launched from the station? How strong are the acceleration Gs on the launch? How long is the extra track at the back of the station? If anyone can provide this data it would be great.
  14. Cool, thanks, and welcome, but there was already a post about this in the international parks forum.
  15. Dont you mean the rampage? He also made the same joke about no coins falling out. And I remember pete making the same joke about WnW and DW merging to make Wet DW when he went through the old BB house on a bobcat a while back.

    Your best creation

Find the file, right click on it and pick add to zip, then follow the steps and the zip file will be saved in the same folder, then, when making the post go to the upload button, navigate to the file and hit upload, but you have to have win zip on your computer.
  17. I think I have some photos of it, my mum went there ages ago and there are some pics, Ill have a look and post em up.
  18. Geeeeeeeze, That will be on nuto coaster, and the airtime on the bunny hill wil be insane, but I hope it doesnt have the cable snapping problems of the other rockets, maybe intamin should do some research into carbon nanotubes This looks set to be one of the most popular types of new coasters, thier 5th one and I have heard of more to come (Thorpe park and blackpool)
  19. And what about the handles on the restraints, someone may not have washed their hands before riding, gah, germs everywhere. Dont be so scared everyone, as long as the people sit on something and they wash it you will be fine, and anyway, you are wearning pants when you ride it normally (I hope you do anyway)
  20. I rember thinking bermuda was really cool, but that was back when i was last at SW, when I was in year 6. I even have an onride photo, I guess I was easier to impress back then, but i did think the spaceship thing was really cool, also the final drop where the fire is was quite cool, it did feel really hot. The first time I rode I got a bit of a fright from the colapsing roof at the start, but i turned around and saw it just move back up into position, quite funny at the time. Does anyone else think the part where you go through the fog smells like a dairy factory?
  21. You have used a toilet at DW, lots of people use them. I imagine they will clean the seats off.
  22. Prehaps they could do what IOA did and provide 1 hr smart lockers free of charge, except you would actually provide enough to go around.
  23. Willsy, just about every easily transportable ride has been taken from WL, all that remains are big rides taht wouldnt fit well at LPS.
  24. Slick, I dont think anyone would really be impressed if they were handed a wad of computer paper full of complaints, they would probably just think you'd had a field day in word writing various comlpaints signed off by different names. They might also think that it was just a bandwangon of PMs sent. It would be better if people wrote their own words and opions and sent them of themeselves becuase they would take them more seriously than something a 15 year old has just given. I have never experienced a 3 hr wait before, whats it like, and what do you do, I think I would rather skip it than wait the equivalent of a short shift at work. Also, if you are looking to "bump into" one of the memeber of managment, where would you be most likely to find them (not including the offices, i meant out and about in the park)
