  1. Well I'd say ProSlide is the main one at the moment, White Water West was supposed to have a part in it and I can't remember who the company doing the Wave Pool was. I'm sure someone can correct me. I know it's a bit early for this but has anyone heard an opening date yet or are we still guessing before the end of the year?
  2. Judging by the pics and obvious hints on the short update on OzCoaster, I think we can safely add an octopus racer to our confirmed list!
  3. You probably already know, but yeh, they've already thought of that. Though maybe not an MSG related ride.... Link To Hundeprut
  4. Ahhh, a coaster themed to takeaway food. What will they think of next?
  5. Vekoma is alright, sure it's not always smooth, well at least the older models aren't but look at Kumali, FlamingoLand etc. Oh, and I'm not 100% sure, but wasn't Meshio a sub-contractor for S&S during the construction of the 4th Dimension Coaster in Japan? Just wondering....
  6. Yeh, I thought it's either a bowl or one of those turbo tunnels, but you wouldn't want to get stuck in one of those....
  7. I missed most of it, I caught the start of the bit on California Screamin' but that was all I saw.
  8. Please be a dark mammoth or one of those huge bowls. We can dream.....
  9. Great update, the only thing that confused me was the fact that some parts for the tornado are red, and then it said: Is it going to be all multi coloured like the other slides or maybe.... something else..... ? EDIT: I only just realised what they were HINTING after reading through the update a second time. If we get a master blaster, I will definately be there on the first day it opens.....
  10. Meh, forget the theming, just make both the trains smooth and you will have lots of happy riders.....
  11. No, I think it was just because it was made by Meisho and was old. Sure it helps to maintain it properly but I don't find Cyclone very rough although that is from the front seat and I'd imagine it gets worse the further back you go.
  12. Remembering it's only one coin as opposed to thousands of rain drops. The rain its being blown by the wind in one direction and you just happen to be going the other, sure if it hit you while you were on the ride it would damn hurt, but I was thinking more if it landed on someone's head. Oh, and water is pretty much as solid as metal once you're going fast enough, was on one of those episodes of Mythbusters.
  13. Has anyone seen the ride in RCT3 called the 'TNT Vortex'? It's an inwards facing gyro swing and it's themed to dynamite, I know, it's kinda Western themed....... It just dawned on my but WHY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT FIRECRACKER RIDES?!? LMAO! Yeh, I know someone mentioned it but still....
  14. I still think it would hurt if it hit someone, but hey, it's a free lunch, well at least a 20% discount....
  15. ..... but most of us wish they were .....
  16. Out of Control fireworks, I like that idea. Spring roll vendors sound good too, as long as they'er not over priced.
  17. Depends, I've never been on a woodie so I can't really complain. I'd really like to see a nice B&M hyper, flyer, or floorless. Those Spinning 'XC 3000's or whatever they're called made by Maurer Söhne. Oh and a standup, I think they'd be pretty good, despite the roughness of some. I know they're not a favourite of most people but I've liked the concept of them ever since I first played RCT and that was before I knew they existed!
  18. I've decided not to go this weekend and wait for a while 'til everything's open. I was going to go but hopefully I can stay for longer if I go another time, oh well...
  19. I'd like to stay for as long as possible but those are my time restraints. Arriving early, maybe about 10:30, I doubt 10:00 though. I could try to stretch my time to 4:00 but I can't see that happening either, 3:30 maybe. I'm not terribly worried about the FlowRider not being open, I doubt I would go on it more than once anyway. Problem is I can't go on the Saturday, and the fact that I have other commitments means I can only go when I get the chance. Anyway, I'll probably go, not confirmed but probably.
  20. Hey, I'm finally getting a chance to go to DW on the weekend. The only problems, Flowrider is closed for maintenence and I have to leave by 3pm. I probably won't get there 'til 10:30/11:00am. Should I bother going even though I won't get a full day there or is it better to wait until circumstances change. It takes just over an hour to drive there and I'll be coming back in the dark if I stay 'til closing time. Comments & Oppinions?
  21. Hey, I'm thinking about going to the ekka this year, but in NSW we don't get a holiday for it. Could anyone get me a ride line-up? Thanks,
  22. I went to Australia Zoo a few years ago and I never saw any tea-cups. You'd assume they'd be decent sized knowing Dreamworld but I can only guess.
  23. If they've finally made it a bit smoother that should make repeat rides just that little bit easier! I haven't been to MW for a while so here's hoping next time I visit, LW doesn't spoil my day. Great news.
  24. In an email I received from the PR at Movie World, they told me that the projected opening date is the weekend of the 16th & 17th of September. We were planning to go on the 15th so I had to re-arrange the dates. I'm in NSW and I know QLD holidays start before ours but could someone confirm the actual day they start? Thanks, EDIT: Here's part of the email:
  25. IMO, the new speed slides look much better than the old ones. And they didn't have a freefall slide on the old one did they. SpeedCoaster was probably made to be similar in shape but requiring the hill at the end instead of a long runout or a pool. They definately could've made it better but at least they brought the speed slides back! The only thing I wonder about, is why they bothered with black hole. I haven't been on it yet so don't quote me on anything but like Gazza said, they're pretty much the same, except they don't follow terrain and they take up less space. EDIT: Twister looks way more fun in that picture. I'd imagine it would be dark inside, making the ride just a bit more interesting.
