  1. That's absolutely ridiculous! The whole concept was to extend OP down to Serpent Slayer as SS didn't fit the Dreamland theme. That's why Dodgems are 'deep sea' dodgems! Somebody let the work experience kid run their social media channels again...

  2. This is my interpretation of the layout. I made a GIF to help explain. In regards to the ability for the layout to be run forwards and backwards: if the train leaves the station travelling forwards, and performs this exact layout every single time, then the train will always re-enter the station travelling forwards. If however, they choose to program the ride to do the green/red loop twice then you'll get the train re-entering the station alternating backwards/forwards. The choice to do the green/red loop an infinite number of times (as others have stated already) is the beauty of this new mechanism and layout. You could potentially run a longer cycle during off-peak, and the shorter cycle on-peak.

  3. The whole crossover between the 2 worlds is dumb.

  4. Murrissippi Motors is 375m. That would be my guess too. If you're read the plan how it should be read, the drawing shows the pathway is a raised pathway and the coaster track goes under the path in most cases. (my gut tells me the drawings are wrongšŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø) Track above Murrissippi Motors. Track above path near brake run. Path above track near station. Coaster track above Murrissippi Motors and below path.

  5. I managed to roughly measure the pre-motocoaster vintage cars track length and it's approximatley 380m

  6. Well to be fair they probably don’t need to replace track during the dark ride section, it will only be during the mouse section where stress on the track takes place. Also this is a horrible take lol, if mouse coasters weren’t janky they’d be boring. Half of the fun of wild mice is the feeling of going off the track during the hairpin turns and the reason this one is highly regarded is because it feels that more intense and out of control because it takes place in a box

  7. Be interesting to see what theming they have in store and who is designing/implementing it. There’s only a handful of people with the specialised skills to do it properly and haven’t heard a peep of this project from any of them.

  8. Not necessarily. As the inclined turntable is the first part of the coaster, you could either not rotate and drop backwards, or it could rotate to the right (or left, but that would take the train outside and straight back to the station). So technically there are many ways they could operate this ride. You are going forwards and backwards. The train could leave the station forwards or backwards depending on how it arrived. If they wanted, they could send you through the same section of track again, but facing the opposite direction. And if they really wanted, you could stay on this coaster all day without re-enterting the station because they are using this turtable at least twice. The track is definitley shorter than I was expecting, but with over half of it being inside, I have hope this could be an incrediblty themed coaster. And just because it's short in track length, doesn't mean the ride necessairly will be. If there are things happening around you while you're on the inclined lift hill, the ride time could be decent. We've got to remember this coaster is targeted for families (kids the grandparents), so it was never going to be this extreme ride, but as already mentioned by others, there are some awesome family coasters around the world and we might just be getting one. As for the overall map of the land, it's great to see the vintage cars will have a decent track length (hopefully some aweosme themign and scenes. I'm very excited by the scale of the building that Jungle Rush will have. I was expecting there to be more pathways through the land and not just one main thoroughfair. But seeing the layout of the rides, I understand why there isn't. I also really did think they were going to utilise the former TOT building for this land, so I hope they're planning on demolishing it because its an eyesore.

  9. I’m so glad that, even 8 years on, a post that was up for a single day still gets remembered šŸ˜‚ I live in London now, but I’m back in Australia for a holiday in 3 weeks. I’ll see if I can get some behind the scenes photos What’s the worst than can do? Deport me?
