  1. That's pretty cool! Never got to go there. thanks gazza
  2. I've only been in a few interesting situations. One on the wild west falls. I don't exactly know what the problem was but we traveled up the first lift hill and moved into the turntable and it didn't rotate. All the special effects and everything just stopped and went silent. after a couple minutes an automated announcement started saying something along the lines of We are having technical difficulties with the ride, please remain seated, the ride will commence again shortly. After another 5 minutes the ride effects started again and the ride rotated and went as normal. Only other thing was on the Tower of terror. Didn't realise really what happened until after the ride stopped. It had an ebrake failure and went flying past the station and hit the perminant magnets. An OP walked along the edge of the tunnel on a small narrow platform. Put a key or something into the side of the car and the restraints lifted. We then got out the left hand side of the car and walked a narrow pathway kinda curving the body over a bit so you didn't smack your head on the curved beam supports or the walls and walked forward about 15 metres to the station. Then headed down the lift. Apparently it takes between 5 - 10 minutes for them to winch the car off the magnets and get it back to the station but only 30 seconds to reset the ride.
  3. I haven't yet seen how this ride would be much different experience from the tornado or green room. Seems a waste of money to me. Also it's a pretty ugly monstrosity.
  4. If a ride OP patted me down or for that matter made physical contact with me in any way. I'd be onto the general manager or at least manager of operations bearing the name of the OP and what time issuing a complaint.
  5. After watching this 7:30 report video, it's become obvious to me that these zoo representatives have NO idea about the care and attention these animals will receive under village roadshow. I have affiation with sea world. I know all the animal carers care deeply for their animals, like they are their own children. When the polar bear died they were devestated, people were crying. No surprise really. I am sure this venture will be in a similar concept to seaworld, except being african based. Animals and rides will be kept somewhat removed. The park will be immaculately presented. The animals will be well kept in state of the art facilities. Oh and even though excessive noise can spook animals rollercoasters aren't noisey enough to bother them and they'd soon adapt to the sound.
  6. Apparently, the company that built the rollercoaster has long ceased trading. It may have been a bit of a problem sourcing parts. Also the track's condition may not have been in great shape, may have even been unrepairable. Who knows.
  7. Wow, I guess this means the last year of operation for Aussie World.

    Track Switch

I had a look at RCT 3 with wild and soaked. Which coasters have transfer/switch tracks and how do i add them to the rollercoasters?

    Track Switch

Anyone know if there is a Track switch for No limits or for RCT 3? If so where do I get it?
  11. I just wonder why it's even still called Warner Village Theme Parks as warner sold their stake to village... As far as this zoo goes, looks like a well planned and enjoyable themepark with probably a very similar appeal to seaworld. Slow pace, family orientated, well worth a visit but not too often.
  12. It could have something to do with the coaster. But i was at seaworld last weekend and the viking revenge ride had scaffolding on parts and all the boats were removed and the whole thing was drained so they must be doing quite alot of work on it.
  13. With the jump one i wonder how long it'll take for someone to break their neck on it.
  14. I think it's quite likely that it will have an automatic restraint system so it will probably be painful and slow.
  15. looks like it will be a fun family ride
  16. Batman the ride 2 is SOOOO hopelessly dated. Was described to me by a friend as we were riding it as the most boring ride ever. I think sell the motion bases ( they were second hand ex airforce anyway) gut the studio and install something far more cutting edge. I was thinking a set of indoor Kuka Robocoasters. Or a small robocoaster rollercoaster indoor installation. Maybe 2 trains of 4 robots holding 4 people each
  17. The ride has been open for months and months and months, park attendance has increased. it's done it's job. I think it's time to let this post go... enough bitching
  18. I've not been to overseas parks. I had the oppertunity to go to Eurodisney or versailles. We ended up doing versailles when i was last in paris. But financially, for Australians it's FAR cheaper to get to Asia then the US. So in that way Tokyo Disneyland is far more accessible.
  19. I personally feel that you'd be pushing it, and if you are a first timer you should spend the entire day there. Still being summer it will still be pretty busy.
  20. Supertubes hydrocoaster uses series of Linear Induction Motors (LIM) for propulsion uphill. The boats are fitted with an alloy plate underneath. When the boat passes over the LIM built into the slide it triggers and the rides computer calculates the boats current velocity then engages the LIM array with the energy required to maintain the velocity of the boat. The LIM creates magnetic fields that attract the alloy plate as it travels towards each LIM in the array then repells the plate as it passes over the LIM maintaining the forward motion. THe boat passes over LIM after LIM after LIM as each attracts then repells in sequence until the metal plate is no longer detected by the sensors and the LIM disengages as the boat reaches and passes over the peak of the incline.
  21. I have a feeling they will start the next expansion quickly, and finish it in reasonable time. It's to their advantage to grow the park as quickly as allowable.
  22. Yeah when the slides at Alexandra Headlands were open, we used to block the tube slides. We also used to have chains of about 5 people.
  23. Sea World’s impressive 60m high giant observation wheel is set to leave the Gold Coast at the end of January 2008 when the temporary lease expires. The Eye closes following the Australia Day long weekend. Since November 2006, the Eye had been enjoyed by over 680,000 Sea World guests.

    No limits

They might but my question was regarding No Limiters rollercoaster simulator, not RCT3.
