Okay, yes the HUSS Breakdance is a quality ride. But the way Luna Park Sydney runs it is NOT a quality ride. The reason I went the Mondial Shake over the KMG Fun Factory is because the ride inverts so it is more thrilling and Luna Park needs some more thrill rides as we have agreed. Also HUSS rides are not made the same way they used to be made. Trust me on that one. And you can honestly say you would not like to see a Top Scan at Luna Park? It's one of the most popular rides at the capital shows constantly and would fit really well within Luna Park. It's quiet, tall but not tall enough to obstruct any views. Also if you don't mind me asking, what is it you find more innovative about KMG VS Mondial? KMG made the standard booster (Speed) Whereas Mondial went slightly more Innovative and we have one of the most intense rides on the showgrounds, the Capriolo (No Limit) As far as the Debate on the Tango / Matterhorn I lean both ways with this. The Matterhorn type ride is more thrilling in the way that the cars swing outwards, but the Tango produces insane lateral G forces. I have also ridden a Chance Matterhorn and they are quite weak compared to say the Thunderbolt that travels (sobema made) And Sobema is now bankrupt. If we were to go a Matterhorn I would say go a Bertazzon Rock n Roll type ride. Or perhaps even a Reverchon Explorer (Tasmanian Devil or Flash Dance) ROCK N ROLL FLASH DANCE And to back up my arguement I have linked 2 youtube videos and I want Parkz.com.au Members to decide what they think is the most innovative of the 2 rides. This is not a dig, but I am just curious as to what other members think. NO LIMIT EXTREME SPEED MACHINE

Yeah, Personally some of KMG's rides have been very hit and miss. I personally was not a fan of the KMG Inversion, the major difference between the Inversion and the AfterBurner is the fact the seats flip. But during the part of the ride where it would be the best, they don't flip. If we were to renovate Maloney's Corner and remove all the current rides that we have this is what I would do: Remove the Spider OR get it running to the speed a BreakDance should. If the ride is to be removed it should be replaced with another flat ride that offers a similar sensation. Possibly a Mondial Shake as it is similar but more thrilling. As far as the Ranger goes, I would keep the ride there provided it comes back. However I would change the positioning of the angle so that it is parallel with the New Ride so that it takes up less room in the midway. In the Far left corner of Maloney's (Near the Rail Tracks) I would put in another thrill ride along the lines of a Top Scan. I was thinking of a KMG Tango but the location of that ride would obstruct the residents view's and just be a cause of drama due to the height of the ride. Really that only leaves room for one more smallish ride unless we remove the kiddie coasters at the front near the water.

I rode the Tango Train in March, and I would consider that ride a Thrill ride just based on the speed and G Forces that ride pulls. I am aware that the Sydney Show gets 2 Wave Swingers, but thats not the only show that would affect from March's Wave Swinger being sent to LPS permanently.
-
Well... March's WaveSwinger is really the only one that travels on the Eastern Coast of Australia. O'neils only does a few shows each year (Royal shows) and Bob Lawurence's only does South Australian shows. March's Wave Swinger does alot of Queensland and New South Wales shows and would honestly be a shame to loose it of our show circuit permanently.

Well, considering it was called Wave Swinger at Luna Park I don't see the need to change the name. I do not know any specifics such as dates or placements of the ride or what is going on with the Ranger. There is a rumor that it is being sent back to HUSS to be fully rebuilt / renovated and then brought back to the park. It could also mean they are retrofitting it so the ride is quieter so that those dolts behind the park don't have anything to whinge about. As far as the holiday rides go, I can see why Luna Park do bring in the rides over the busy periods. They may not have the money or council approval to build any more permanent rides within the park because of residents chucking a stink. And they bring the Holiday rides in because it spreads the crowds out more and gives them a few extra thrills for the money. This is also good for the Showmen who supply the rides (Joylands Better Amusement Hire) as it provides them more money to buy new rides to support the show industry. While I would like to see Luna Park Sydney build permanent rides instead of the travelling rides, I am sure there are reasons behind the decision to not purchase them and go with the temporary rides. Weather that be money, or whatever the case. I guess we will just have to wait and see. EDIT: It also seems like Luna Park Sydney has updated the website to include the Wave Swinger http://www.lunaparksydney.com/visitor_info...ames/index.html

^ Someone reads the forums on Australian Amusement Fanatics quite a bit I take it. It might be wise to state your source of information in the future But it is indeed confirmed that it is March's Wave Swinger. I'll just copy and paste what I wrote on AAF about it to here. Just to put my post into context, someone had been dropping hints about the ride there. Stating that it had been previously debuted at Luna Park Sydney and had since been sold to a travelling company. "What Itsun is saying is indeed correct. Everything matches. The ride was previously at Luna Park Sydney (March's / Midway Amusements) Wave Swinger was first at Luna Park Sydney before being trailerised and sold to them. The ride is being refurbished, as we could see bits of it at the Royal Easter Show with the new panelling. And it hasn't done any other shows recently. It is not a Super Loop, Turbo, Rainbow OR Top Spin. Luna Park's replacement is in fact the Wave Swinger. It wasn't that hard to peice together all the clues that people were dropping." People were also stating that it may have been one of several other rides, but it's fairly obvious that it's indeed the wave swinger.

WARNER BROS. MOVIE WORLD CELEBRATES DC COMICS 75TH ANNIVERSARY!
Spotty replied to Suhan's topic in Theme Park Discussion
They put a "Coca Cola" Wristband around the bottle and write the date on it in permanent marker. I got one at sea world today. I will write a review of my visit shortly. -
Can anyone give me any information on this ?

Very interesting indeed. You know you've worked on too many carnival rides when you can recgocnize the manufacturers logo like that -
The WaveSwinger in Question that used to be at Luna Park Sydney was indeed trailerised and sold to Midway Amusements, Now known as March's Amusements.

That thought did also run across my mind too Gazza, but it also looks a little like an Arrow Log Flume boat like Jet Stream at SFMM -

Those Particular cart's look more like Log Flume type carriages, but the Logo looks like the running writing Bertazzon used in the earlier years. -

Hmm... it could be "Bertazon" It looks similar to the logo's they use on there dodgem cars and Matterhorn type rides. -
It's manufactured by SBF Visa Rides, and is named FEAR. Gary O'Neil is the owner of the attraction, and apparently it's having a fair bit of downtime.
-
Also, the Wipeout is not 25 years old. It was comissioned in 1993, which would make the ride 17 years old. So while the ride is showing it's age, it's still running reasonably well for it's age. And I am hoping it will be around for a while longer.

No Limit in General would be a more intense ride than Triple XL. It will really depend on the operator as to how intense your ride is as well. I found that having a full load vs half load will make a massive difference, due to the weight of the riders on the other side causing you to flip. IMO it's a fun ride when it is running to it's potential, otherwise it's quite boring to be honest. Give it a ride though, but I personally prefer Skywalker, No Limit and Space Roller to Triple XL.
-
Yeah, I remember hearing him say that on the ride... and then it broke down...

I agree with Richard entirely, I don't actually find Superman that smooth. Corkscrew had that title, and I have not experienced Sea Viper yet but probably will soon. Cyclone has been running really well in the last few months, and I will know about Lethal Weapon tomorrow.
-
Those red track items have been there a while. They used to be under the Cyclone, and I would assume that they were used for the Motocoaster at one point. Possibly for storing the trains when they were transported to the park.

At least it wasn't John Howard's Eyebrow catching fire... the whole of the building would have been in flames if that happened! But being serious now, I commend the work of WVTP staff that day in and day out keep everything as safe as possible. No matter how much care is taken, things can still go wrong. But it's staff that know what they are doing that prevent minor things from becoming something that is out of control.

What's Dreamworld doing to the old Log Ride?
Spotty replied to Suhan's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Going of stats that I was told, Log Ride is the most popular ride at Dreamworld. -
What's Dreamworld doing to the old Log Ride?
Spotty replied to Suhan's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Considering the Log Ride IS the most popular (maybe 2nd) ride at Dreamworld, it's no wonder they are willing to invest so much in it. -
I thought there was a change machine next to the lockers at SE. I generally found that the Superman Souvenir shop would give change out if asked nicely. But still the staff member *should* know if it is a question likley to be asked many times in regards to the ride being operated.

So... who wants to go to Dreamworld? Seriously... I am not that shocked that this has happened after all the previous things that WVTP have done in the last year. I will honestly say that I will NOT be returning to any of the Warner Village Properties anytime soon if this is what they focus on. Sea World doesn't appeal to me in the least anymore, Jet Rescue may be good but it's not something I will go out of my way to ride. The general upkeep of the park is the worst it has been in years, just look at Bermuda Triangle. It's not justified paying the 70 dollars to get into the park, and there isn't anything new that even excites me. How can they justify the entry price when they are REMOVING attractions from the park with no replacement? While there very well could be a replacement in the pipelines, it doesn't explain why the park is in the state it is in. A half arsed show replacing something solid. What may have been the best themed attraction in Australia now looking tacky and beyond a joke... and thats only one of the Theme Parks. Wet and Wild... Well to put it simply Waterparks don't appeal to me full stop so thats all I'm going to say really about that. I think Wet n Wild might be the only park that standards have not dipped dramatically in the last 18 months. Movie World... over 40 minute waits in OFF peak, rude staff and just a total mess in general. The food is so expensive and foul that it's not funny. Not to mention the rediculous food policy, that is just pathetic if you ask me. The last time I went to Movie World, I brought a 1 hour locker for Superman Escape. The queue was OVER a hour long, so I asked the lady if I could get into my locker after my ride and she said YES and that I wouldn't have to pay any extra. I got off the ride after 90 minutes of waiting (Scooby Doo had it's line in the old gremlins queue that day) I went to the lady to open my locker as it had expired. Someone from Guest Services came down after 25 minutes of waiting for her. Only to have the operator at the entrance of the ride DENY she told me I could still access my locker for free after my ride. I then paid 8 dollars to get my stuff out and be lectured by guest services about the locker policy and how it is only for "riding patrons and not to be used for the whole day" I'm sure if you read my posts on Movie World from 3 years ago, you would know how much of a WVTP fanboy I was so to speak. And I find it downright dissapointing that the parks have gone the way they have. I will admit that I did like Hollywood Stuntdriver though, it is no Police Academy but it's still a halfway decent show. And it would be the one thing that Movie World has over Dreamworld right now. So based on my points, I don't see the point in paying 70 dollars for entry, or 99 for a VIP pass. When I can go closer to home and visit Dreamworld, where in the past year has been brilliant as far as everything goes. I got a 99 dollar year pass with NO discounts or special offers, yet in the mail I got a letter with 3 half price tickets from them... as well as a FREE ticket for a friend. You can guess where my money will be spent in the future. Good Riddance to WVTP is all I can say.

Last time I rode the rapids (A month or so ago) The jets were not there, so that seems new to me. The water spraying in the tunnel has been there for a few years at least. Weather or not it had been turned on or not was a different story though. I for one am REALLY glad to see Dreamworld Picking up there game
