  1. The Claw had a Single Rider Line? I'll get a look around while I'm down there on monday and try and snap some pics.
  2. Dreamworld also has a similar Wristband System and has for almost a year now I think. The System works at all outlets that has the Micros Register system as far as i'm aware.
  3. 3 Hour waits? That does indeed sound rather exagerated. Considering the park is only open for 8 hours and you said you went on 3 rides with a 3 hour wait... that means you waited in total 9 hours? Doesn't seem right to me but anyway. Rides like the Claw and the Wipeout would only have 20 - 30 minute waits at the max because that is how much there queue lines can physically hold. I've NEVER seen the Giant Drop or the Tower of Terror with a line longer than 75 minutes even in peak season ever (With Attendance up around the 9,000 mark) The weather however could have played a minor part in the queues being so long because if it was raining the Tower wouldn't be running. But 3 hours does seem to be a bit of an exageration. Also Dreamworld would NEVER close down their park for a full day / week etc just for Schoolies as they would loose the local, interstate and international market for those few weeks. It would just be stupid if they closed the gates to anyone but schoolies people.
  4. If you don't mind me asking, which page does it have the info about Dreamworld? I can't seem to find it on the Lo-Q Site.
  5. Considering what Gazza said about the Username being the person involved first and last names. It isn't Batman. Unless someone actually has the name Batman in real life, and if that was the case there must have been something very wrong with the parents choosing that name So it wasn't Doc Brown or Batman that were making the posts.
  6. I got my year pass for Dreamworld for 99 dollars last year. Was a locals only offer.
  7. Chrisdeaves, I know what you are saying about the situation. It's the same boat that Eureka is / was in. I was just making a little joke. And I wouldn't expect you guys to run a ride if it wasn't unsafe. That would be just stupid if you ask me. Please keep us updated on the situation though if your in the position to. Maybe we should start another thread to discuss this though.
  8. I know exactly what is wrong with that Marvin Ride... ... It's a Zamperla
  9. Wow... that would have been a fun day! Anyway with the Marvin Ride, thats been down for so damn long it's not funny! It's been down since at least December last year. It's the Eureka Mountain Mine Ride of Movie World.
  10. Mmm... I'd love to see the indoor area themed like Bermuda Triangle. That flood scene just before going into the volcano is one of the best effects seen on any ride in Australia IMO. If the theming is anything on Par with Bermuda Triangle this will be a great ride. I also think having a pre-launch scene like Superman Escape could have worked really well with this ride. I am sure that WVTP won't dissapoint though.
  11. ^ Uh... he is talking about the music inside SDSC. It was horrible on Wednesday night, and the maintenence lights were on for the final drop. I really do hope that WVTP don't let this ride go to the dumps. EDIT: Grr... Gazza JUST beat me to it
  12. Well... this will be good for me then
  13. I encountered the same issue last night. I just refreshed it and voila.
  14. I don't actually mind that roof... It was actually needed, because standing in line for 45 minutes waiting to buy tickets in summer is NOT good! I have a feeling there must have been a sale on roofs this year
  15. Oh, does he now work in the Mummy? I thought I saw someone that looked a bit like him...
  16. Yes, I think that would have been Movie World's "Dark Period" that they went through. I also remember the strikes with the Looney Tunes characters. I just find it odd that they are cost cutting like this when I know for a fact that staff just up the road at Dreamworld get paid ALOT more money for doing the same job than WVTP (If your under 21 that is, as Dreamworld doesn't pay Jr. Rates) I really hope that this isn't a indicator of what is to come...

  18. New "Spelling Nazi" Anyone? Anyway, I have this week off so I might head down to Movie World later in the week and take a few photos.
  19. For a Mine Themed train that was just mentioned... go onto RCDB and search for "Lost Coaster of Superstition Mountain" I'd love to see something like that
  20. LOL! Sounds like the Bush Beast... but with added airtime
  21. Hmmm... Considering we allready have Scooby Doo... and whats that? A WILD MOUSE Also apparently GhostRider runs like crap these days anyway. So if they want to do a woodie right... A smaller one like BALDER would be good. Intamin Plug n Play all the way!
  22. Wow... it seems they royally screwed SurfRider eh?
  23. Corkscrew goes 140k's!? Since when... maybe 75k's tops... Just like the monorail says it goes 100k... They really need to update that
