Batwing operates in the rain as far as I am aware, but i'm not 100% on that. You'd be best to ring the park tomorrow morning before going just to double check. In regards to Superman: Escape, I have no idea what is up with that. It normally doesn't run in the rain, but has been known to. One of the days in peak season after I got sent home from work early, I went into the park and it was pouring down rain. Yet Superman was still launching fine, however it was rather painful if I do say so myself!

I think if I tried to work that sum out, my head or calculator would explode!

The pink jellyfish suit the ride, because they are the same jellyfish that are in the TV show the ride is based on.

Nice pic mate, and welcome to the site. I personally do hope that Dreamworld does spruce up the ride a little bit more. I'd love to see giant Jellyfish on top of the fences in a similar fashion to what they did with The Claw. That and some general ground work to make it look a bit nicer. Also Jjuttp why do you always add those 4 emoticons to the end of your posts?

You would have had to be around on RC / Total Thrills in 2004 - 2005 to really understand what I was meaning by the Nightshifter comment. But not to worry... A modern example of Nightshifter would be... well I can think of a few members who fit that bill reasonably well -

I would like to know the answer to that too. That would have to be one of the most random things i've seen in this forum. That and it makes not 1 lick of sense. Reminds me of the days when good ol Nightshifter was around. -
What other parks have Warner Bros. Made? The only one I can think of is Movie Park in Germany.
-
Yeah, that would be the most logical explanation. The actual cycle doesn't feel different, just a little bit faster. Which the 07 maintenance would obviously have something to do with it.
-
Probably to build suspense up... But the Cyclone braking issue is a joke! 1 minute to park the freakin train. Corkscrew is ran in manual and only stops once and sometimes twice before parking.
-
The Giant Drop's elevator speed has not increased. To get to the actual top of the tower (before slowing down) it's approx 45 secs, and around 45 secs of slowly creeping up before releasing.
-
Well... I could only make out bit's of your post. But yes the Wipeout used to have sand at the front and water in a lagoon. In November last year they removed the water and painted it, and also removed "Fluffy" the shark from the lagoon.

By the way the ride has progressed, It will open by the end of June. Unless something happens that causes it to otherwise happen. I mean if one of these can be tore down in 6 hours at a carnival (probably not even that) I'm sure it can be up and running by the end of the month.

Well Spongebob Flypants is coming along great, I have attached 2 photos of the ride. The gondolas are all in place and all that seems to be left to do is some cosmetic and ground work to the ride and the operators booth. Sorry for the quality of the photos, they were taken on my phone through the fence.

^ You mean if African Safari World opens. Has anyone heard anything more on that yet?

The Green Room was not actually a clone. WhiteWater World had brought it before Wet n Wild. All of the rides at WhiteWater World at the time of the parks announcement were due to be Australian firsts, Minus the Temple of Huey. Wet n Wild then jumped on the Tornado idea and built it before WhiteWater World's opening. And it's not a clone as such anyway, The Green Room is a different model to Wet n Wild's Tornado with a slightly higher drop into the bowl and a extended flume section before the drop. I also think the funnel elements size may be slightly bigger but I'm not 100% Also with the Water Coaster, I havn't heard anymore on it lately. But hopefully we should see some construction soon. -
LOL! Send it off to Sea World... where it was originally meant to go.
-
To Ash's defense here, I have also heard the Roof rumor from several staff members within WVTP. I havn't heard any updates for a while on it, so we will just have to wait and see how it pans out. And... if none of the parks have a new coaster planned for the next 10 years, I will loose all faith and be forced to believe in Scientology.

The amount of times I've been to Movie World since superman opened (and thats ALOT) I've NEVER seen Superman Escape roll back, or even hear of it happening during normal operating hours. I have witnessed / been on a rollback during a private film shoot early in the morning about 4 months after the ride opened. It may have happened before, but I've never heard of it happening. Also it's nothing that great really, it just feels like riding Tower of Terror.
-
Well... Superman went down in February - March, And Lethal often goes down in May. And they normally only have 1 maintenance period a year. But sometimes if they need to they may have more, but this is rare.
-
I havn't seen any pics, but that would be because it is most likely in a warehouse.
-
Well, The ride has had 3 major retrofits. The manufacturer is unknown, but the Parkz Database mentions Hyfab / L+T Systems. And what are these "morning stages" your talking about? Is it meant to be some sort of petty insult?
-
I Don't think we will see it rebuilt in any way, shape or form in a hurry, and what is this downtime you speak of? Every time I have been to Dreamworld since 2005, I have NEVER seen it break down and I used to go there often. The only times it was closed was for annual maintenance or Screamworlds. I never felt the ride was unsafe once... except for maybe the lack of head clearance, but I'm sure anyone over 5ft would be worrying about that one! I am still upset at the fact it's had to close, but there would have to be a very valid reason why it happened. As they wouldn't just close it for the sake of closing it.

The Eureka Mountain structure will not be removed any time soon. Removing it would be far too tedious with Thunder River underneath it, not to mention all the shops adjoining it. Such as IMAX, Kodak Photo Center, Candy Shop / Ice Cream Parlour and various Gold Rush themed shops. Even if the ride doesn't operate anymore the mountain housing still looks good. Without it Goldrush would look very different. As it has also been previously mentioned on the forums, the inside of the mountain is currently being used for storage. And with the size of the mountain (not that big) It is making good use of the storage. Just because the ride doesn't operate anymore, and will never operate again in the foreseeable future doesn't mean it has to be knocked down. I'm sure if it didn't play such a iimportant part on various structures around the park, Dreamworld would have done something by now about it.
