That's a pretty big detention centre...

^That was kinda the point i was trying to make though - Boundary road is still shit. it's one lane across the highway, and for a few hundred metres prior. it clogs the road. Anzac avenue wasn't much better - and they've put in what seems like 5 or 6 lanes on the southbound onramp now to cope. Of course, we can just blame it on Stockland for the monstrosity that is North Lakes to begin with, but realistically, the current state of Boundary road is what should have been there before costco was even thought of. What is needed now is a much bigger expansion, which I think is currently the subject of a 'possible election promise'

Ikea and Costco. So the road was shit. two giant mega-box retailers choose that as their location - and naturally, they have to upgrade the road to cope. I'll guarantee the plans approved will probably only bring the road up to scratch WITHOUT those two retailers, so it'll still be shit. Except now, it'll be shit in the morning during peak hour, and in the evening during peak hour, AS WELL AS on the weekend when everyone goes to the warehouses, and in the middle of weekdays when the warehouses receive thousands of trucks delivering stock. Oh and no doubt Costco is building Costco Gasoline in this one too? So you can bet every car for at least 30-50ks around will go there for fuel instead of their local - good for petrol prices, bad for congestion. No - the upgrades won't help the current stores, and they're not going to upgrade again immediately just to build Wonderland. It's not going out that way. Guarantee it.

Adventure World 2015 - 'Mi2' Kraken Tornado slide

I'm pretty sure Mark and his team already have a fair idea of what Mi3 is, and it isn't this, as he said - it was only an idea \ speculation at this point.... something to think about. it's a longer term plan than Mi3. I'm not sure if anyone has ever asked - but what is Mi? -

early 1990's cartoon and live action version including the sequel - secret of the ooze. Best TMNT ever.. -
Analysis: Timber is dressed inwards - they're not enclosing it for storage - the dressed timber faces towards the chairlift station, so this is to prevent people from getting too near the flume chute. That says to me that they're going to open this area up to guests. I'd like to see some tables and chairs - with an awesome view down the park off the edge of the platform, with maybe a coffee cart, maybe a 'snack station'...it'd be a nice use of the space without costing much.

I'd like to take back my previous post.

I think a LR would be great - but only if you actually do something with it - make it a (lazy) transport option for people to hop in and out of all the way around the park. This concept has been put forward several times (most notably at WnWS) and never eventuated. If you can't finance it all at once, do it in stages in such a way you can 'add on' to it later? That would be AWesome. p.s. - re: asking us not to post to facebook, i'm fairly confident most peeps on here wouldn't do that, but as Parkz does tend to be one of the top results in google for most theme park things in Australia, you can't guarantee it won't be picked up by a googler and run with - so if you didn't want it all over facebook, it's probably not wise to post here for that reason alone. -
Now that that's all said and done, I'd personally like to extend a thanks to @reanimated35 for making the following happen:
-
Yes i'm sure I mentioned the airport. The good thing is the landfill is on the north side of Elizabeth Drive - so the two can co-exist (although height restrictions under flight paths could be a pain...)
-
Maybe they are, and they just haven't put it up yet because it takes the laminator so long to warm up enough to do the 40 reams of paper they'll need to completely cover it....? I wouldn't call this the "MW Route" - Dreamworld started "advertising the park inside the park" a lot earlier - when they used the off-side of the Thunderbolt station to advertise to guests waiting on the opposite side of the platform. (I searched for a pic, but couldn't find a good one - RCDB has a pic (credit @Richard) that shows just a hint of the ad-boards i'm talking about - its the shot of the train in the station, and you can JUST make out the ad-boards on the top right hand side of the roof, behind the Op booth glass.

I do have to agree with @Richard and side in support with @pushbutton on this one (holy shit, i know!!!) but publicly outing someone who goes by an Alias is something I disagree with. Some people on these forums have aliases, but make no real secret of their identity. Others go solely by their online persona, and keep that separate to even their facebook acount (you all know who you are). We should all respect one another's right to privacy. Granted, I know that it wasn't hard to connect the dots between the public post on SW's page and the member on the forums, but just because @reanimated35 is smart enough to figure it out, doesn't mean we should make it easier for the rest. Edit: I personally have outed someone's facebook page on these forums, but given their user name was their full first, middle and last name, it wasn't exactly a secret persona - so I don't think it counts

They haven't provided an assurance because they can't - that doesn't mean it's on the out - it just means they can't be sure it's staying "for many years to come". It might be that they've planned to remove it next week, or it might be that their PR guys can't speak for unexpected maintenance faults that arise in a year or two after being struck by lightning that prevents them from continuing the ride. Nobody can provide an assurance that a mechanical vehicle will be around for many years to come as nobody knows what can or will happen #DWRR

^which lacks infrastructure support (Richmond road is a nightmare), and floods. theres a reason the land out in the hawkesbury is so cheap - most of the big blocks out there you can't build on. great agricultural land though... #SixFlagsNewOrleans Nope. Badgerys creek area is the way to go, given the plans for the airport will mean infrastructure, transport and tourism will be on the doorstep. Just one suggestion on a quick look over google maps - the Elizabeth Drive landfill facility in Badgery's Creek measures around 882,000m2. That's roughly around 220 Acres... not far off, and the land surrounding is mostly rural also. I chose the landfill because google maps highlights the boundary of the facility when you search 'badgery's creek' - so don't read anything into the choice or the size. the point is, parcels of land around that size are there, and a landfill (most likely government owned) could be sold at a heavy discount in cooperation with a major developer, as a partnership... which has been done overseas for this type of development. As for emailing them, don't expect much more than a canned and prepared answer of 'watch this space' similar to anything you'd get from any of the GC parks. Believe me when I say - as soon as a deal is done, announcements will be made.

What makes you think they still don't have land?

For a park operating 7 days a week, attendance is sometimes too low to justify fully staffing and manning every ride. Wonderland used to operate rides on an alternate - 1 hour on, 1 hour off - and provided the two rides were close together that you could run from one to the other, most people didn't mind. Obviously DW feels the need to reduce staffing costs on quiet days by operating rides for lesser hours than the park opening. So long as this is advertised prominently on the website or otherwise, I have no complaint as you have the choice not to buy a ticket if you think this is a problem. I'd much rather they be open for the full day, but i'd prefer some rides have reduced operation than the park to go broke and close, -
Kids always loved Eureka. Wait until they have knees that touch the board in front. They won't love it so much anymore.

D'Oh! I did too. geez. baaaaaaa.... Sorry Skeet.

^Yeah. If they've emailed a member of the general public, nothing in there is a secret - so if you show us their wording, we can be our own judge of it, rather than taking what you say at face value...

lol. To the guy that has 3 different IASW versions on his iPhone, and frequently listens to music from the park - that's not really a challenge... SFMM - Apocalypse and Colossus were both doing just fine in 2013. I've ridden Ghostrider, and whilst it was jarringly totally out of control, there was no 'ow make it stop make it stop' to speak of - just one big holy shit that was awesome at the end. I've never ridden Gwazi but by all accounts it was not enjoyable.
