  1. Sure, that's two, dunno about Paulie. Anyone else?
  2. I've ridden both (LPS & carnival) and I really couldn't tell the difference. Of course you always do point out that the LPS one doesn't run anywhere near it's full potential (and judging by some videos, I'll agree), but then again, it's never been a huge favourite of mine.
  3. Iuno, the RCT2 one was a little restricing (Dammit, I couldn't think of the right word to use) with the no custom scenery thing, and not every has RCT3, or a computer that's fast enough to run such a huge park in RCT3...
  4. I was thinking we should have another. I dunno how the last one worked, and I also reckon Hyper Rails should be included, because I don't have No Limits and hence, wouldn't be able to compete  . What do you all think?
  5. Circus Circus, that's not really a ride though right? From what I remember, it's more of a walkthrough fun house for kiddies, you can't really call it a ride. Or am I thinking of something else here?
  6. Even though I said it on the Ekka topic, I'm gonna plug it again, make sure you get a ride on Twin Flip. It's truly an insane ride (no-where as good as the Claw, but nothing's that good), ride it!
  7. Be sure to ride the Twin Flip, those who are going. Twas the most intense ride I've riden for quite some time.
  8. Um....they had heart monitors on the riders whilst riding Goliath (they were unaffected by the big helix from my observations), perhaps that's an adult theme...?
  9. It's a decent size, it's big enough to hold a small concert in, or a large circus. The Ice skating rink inside was huge. I also think that putting rides inside the Big Top is ludicrous. The rides have big loud (especially in the case of Ranger) engines on them, couple that with the scream of ride patrons, and you'll have one large echoey sound tent. Kids rides, that's an idea, but from what I've seen, it just wouldn't make any sense "Hey, I heard they have more rides at Luna Park now" says kid1 "More rides, where?" asks kid2 "in the big top" replies kid1 "that's stupid, you're stupid, go away, they can't have rides inside!" I reckon a permanent circus or something of that nature during the winter months, and an ice-skating rink (perhaps like Rockefeller Centers well-known Christmas events and ice skating rink) and a Christmas Tree and such during the summer months would be a fabulous idea.
  10. My concern is, if this water park thing, does come to be (IF), exactly what type of ride would fit into the Blue Lagoon area. I'm talking about size here, relative to some other part of the park, how big is the Blue Lagoon area. I don't know because the two times I've been to Dreamworld, I skip Blue Lagoon
  11. Just go to the Foxtel website (www.foxtel.com.au) and use the search program once every week (you can only search within the confines of a week unfortunately). Make sure you're searching for the whole week, only on Discovery Science and Adventure and walla, if it's on again, it'll show up. Alternatively, If you really wanted to watch it, you could ring them up or email them or something...
  12. On Discovery Science last night (before Saturday Night Live!) there was a pretty good (relative to other ones I've seen) documentary on roller-coasters. It went into detail on wheel assemblies, the history of the coaster, the types of roller-coasters, and some of the manufacturers. They interviewd the creator of X (Alan Schilke or summat), and had lots of POV footage on some of the SFMM coaster, Knotts Berry Farm coasters, and then some from other parts of the US. It was, as I've said, one of the better ones I've seen and even though it doesn't give any information that any people here wouldn't know, it was still good viewing. If It's on again, I suggest you watch it, twas quite enjoyable.
  13. Hey, on the subject of Raby Road, that's an awesome road!
  14. I've never been to America, but based on perception, I'd say go to California and go to SFMM. It has a bunch of great roller-coasters, and is within reasonable proximity to other great parks. That's what I'd do.
  15. Damn, it's a pity that a new roller-coaster like that can go through a major issue like that, so soon in it's life. Damn.
  16. Meh, when I went earlier this year they only had two folks operating it, and they were doing it in less than 5 minutes easily, in heavy rain. They were quite good, still, if they had have had more on there, it could have been done a lot faster.
  17. Ugh, it was crap. I was flicking through the guide last night and saw it was on and decided to watch it. To start, it was american and hence the commentator guy kept making absurd references to the "Orstralian sun" and the "outback" and garbage like that, but I really can't complain, it's trying to push the Aussie tourism industry. It kept getting worse with the guy saying "if you were to sit on an Orstralian beach at the Gold Coast (Orstralias top place for catching waves and sunshine) chances are you'd run into a movie star". They did a nice little bit on the Lethal weapon and Police Academy Stunt show (both which I found moderately interesting), but I found it hard to beleive that any American watching it would look at Lethal Weapon and say "WHOA! I gotta ride that one, even though we have inverted coasters a thousands times better than that in my own country!" He also stated that the Lethal Weapon is the worlds ONLY inverted coaster with a "Horizontal loop". Don't quote me on what I'm about to say, but I'm guessing that was a load of bull... The bit on the police academy thing was nice and showed you some intereviews with the actors (sadly, nothing on the guy that blows the whistle) and how they do their stunts. The next bit was going on about the people that audition to become the characters walking around the park (for some reason, they were all 16 year old girls with american accents...meh?) and it all seemed a little put on for my liking. Next was an interview with some park staff and what they like about the park and how one guy rides all the rides a movieworld for a job (why have I never heard of a job like this!). Anyway, in conclusion, it was nothing special, you were probably better off going to bed or summat like that.
  18. The site, from what I've gathered is more about people with a geniune interest in enjoying the theme park/carnival industry in Australia, and being more of a consumer of these carnivals and parks, rather than a player, and participant in providing the service. It would also seem a bit stupid to advertise such a thing on a forum of all places. These are expensive machines, a vast majority of people on the internet (and forums in particular) would not really care for such a sale. On the other hand, as the rappa said, the more the merrier, and the more we have in the know how, the better...
  19. Nah, carny rides are great for places like Luna Park, I just think they need some more original and cool looking ones, and to make the park look even more outrageously...outrageous! and buy a Moveit32...yes, let them do that!
  20. OMG!!! Whoa, that is so like, what I was thinking you know? We can be buddies!!! .... Aside from that, yes, I also agree, the blakc haired one does like like a bit of a shemale, but I shouldn't pass judgements, seeing as we've only seen snipptes of the intruders. Last nights uncut was pretty crappy. Too much man.
  21. Uh, I think he may have been sarcastic when saying that comment, so it seems. Anyho, eviction tonight, yes, good to see that TIMMAH! is still in there (damn those right wingers).
  22. Ha! Selfish, you're one to talk. He wasn't making a comment about her illness, he wasn't wishing her ill fortunes (something which can't be said of you Chris), he was just making a humourous remark about her gigantically oversized and funny looking teeth, and the fact that England loves her more than Australia. On the subject, I am intrugued to know what ghost trains you do like, you better not say Haunted Mansion *shakes fist*.
  23. Acuritt? I mean, come on, is it really that hard to type in the correct spelling? Anyway, to make this post legitimate, I like the way this scenario is going...yes.
