  1. Although it does seem pretty consistent, I think on one ride I went on it was working properly. Just a green dot where the laser usually comes from.
  2. I can't wait to ride soon and experience the ride in a better state. Wouldn't it be great if it got back to looking like the pictures below. Check out this video as well it really shows the ride from every aspect. http://www.laservision.com.au/page.asp?lid...sec=Movie+World
  3. Yeah Batwing is a good ride but I wish MW had have gone for the 90m version in a three tower configuration.
  4. Thats not what I meant. I just can't understand how it qualifies as a themepark and IMO not something that should be so openly paraded in public.
  5. So it doesn't really feel any different? I would have thought being at the front with nothing in front or below you would have been awesome.

Definitely and I would love to be able to place the entry wherever around the edge of the park. don't forget a smooth path corner option.
  7. IMO that is disgusting and a sore excuse for a theme park. How does it even qualify anyway?
  8. I would hate to see a slingshot at any of the GC themeparks, there is already one in Surfers Paradise nearby. They also have mediocre capacity, something that Dreamworld does not need any more of.
  9. Looking at those dimensions it seems to be a little bigger than I thought. Cheers for going to the effort Sounds good, same ride, different layout, one that works with the land available.
  10. Also worth noting, how big is the area that Pirate Ship occupied? When I went there last it did not look very big. Is it large enough to fit the Maurer Söhne / Xtended SC 2000 which takes up a 40x20m space (Thanks for that Spotty)? That said I suppose they could build it over the water, but realistically how much space are we working with here?
  11. I went on something like this at A Maze'N Things, Phillip Island http://www.amazenthings.com.au/illusions.html It is the one on the bottom. Basically you work through the rotating drum instead of sitting down like on Mad House. What is this^
  12. What if they placed the drop tower on the roof of a building in the park, it would give extra height and take up no extra space. Oh and BTW Big Dipper 3 would have get into the books for worst roller coaster name ever.
  13. I think you'll find Alex wrote this, not because because you don't use spaces but, he was simply illustrating that if you don't use full stops your posts become hard to read and make it sound like you are talking really fast, just like the non-spaced sentence above. Am I right?
  14. It will be closed for the Winter season.
  15. Was just looking around on the Vekoma website when I came across this indoor ride/attraction. http://www.vekoma.com/index.php?option=com...0&Itemid=28 Having been on something similar to this before I can say that the experience is very enjoyable and confusing at the same time. I feel something like this would be a perfect addition to MW with the theming oppurtunities being endless. If they opted for the 78 seat version the ride the attraction would have huge capacity (1335pph) plus the ride is an all weather attraction. The ride has no height restrictions giving it broad appeal and making suitable for all guests. Part of the ride could in the dark with cool lighting effects to complement. I presume this would be a relatively low cost attraction, maybe something for 2009? What do you guys think?
  16. Woah! It sure is unfinished. That looks terrible, not a great view for riders, they better do something with that section of the ride or else the whole thing is waste of potential.
  17. Dam, I forgot about the height regulations. Such shame. So I guess we are going to get a flat, any suggestions?
  18. Haha, weird water ride though that last drop looks incredible. The support structure on the lift looks like Intamin coaster pieces, quite ugly IMO. I would like to see something like this but with a longer and more complex layout with the lift and record breaking drop being the climax. The lift could even be enclosed in a mountain like on WWF.
  19. Interesting stuff, I was wondering when the Pirate Ship would go. Unfortunately I never got to ride, though I probably didn't miss much. As for the replacement, I too would like to see another flat thrill ride, maybe even a tower ride of some sort?
  20. Yep agreed, having the smoke machine visible makes the last room look tacky. It is also quite obvious sitting right next to the final drop. BTW where was the previous machine located and why did they switch to the new one?
  21. Is there a climax to the ride? Any drops, rapids, anything other than a level course?
  22. Fantastic theming, I was going to put something up about this a few days ago but didn't get around to it. I too think the water effect is spectacular, it is in perfect sync with the train and almost looks convincing. I would love to see one of our parks install a flying roller coaster, MW preferably and see if we could get such cool effects, the queue doesn't look bad either. I love this picture, it really shows the quality of the ride and effect.
  23. Haha, saved me the time. I voted on option 2 though it still would be good to have some focus on flats because the park is meant to be a carnival.
  24. Haha, you summed it up perfectly Gav. I think it is time to start a poll; What type of person are you, a theme park head or a carnival head?
