Theme Parks Reopening Post COVID-19
Park Addict 93 replied to themagician's topic in Theme Park Discussion
In addition to the current $99 reopening Annual Pass special for DW, if you purchase through RACQ you receive a $20 food & beverage voucher. -
In the Q&A somebody asked about the "Master Plan" and they stated it is on hold due to Covid.
-
I'm on the presentation call, construction to start in October for the new coaster.
-
So you would prefer they just discontinue them rather than give you the option of keeping them at the current price/inclusions or moving to a One Pass?

Parade returning August 26 (2020) -
It was premium when it first launched sure, but now it’s actually cheaper than a One Pass. It is interesting that rather than just discontinuing them they are devaluing them. If you want the current inclusions you have to move over I guess. Everyone is out of contract by now.

https://seaworld.com.au/spooky-nights Full event details and tickets are now on sale. Members get half price tickets rather than one free with One Pass, pretty clear now they expect members to move to One Pass if they want current offers. slightly of topic, those with the $12 membership that includes FN have they offered anything in lieu.

Yeah very last min apparently. No maintenance was listed when I checked at 8AM -
To be pedantic, an equivalent event in terms of theme (family friendly halloween) and target market. I look forward to more details of SW's event being released along with DW's plans for this year. Dreamworld did include 1 Happy Halloween event for all existing pass holders, and currently are advertising it as an inclusion for new pass holders. Same as Village.

Adult price is going to be $49, seems a bit pricy when the equivalent event was $29 at DW last year. Like Carnivale most guests will likely be One Pass holders.

It's a little hard to see with the reflection but there is a COVID capacity sign of 63 posted inside. -

To encourage locals to visit during the week and actually spend money in park they are doing B1GOF at Gotham and 15% off retail. Interesting to note they are not including Monthly Members in this offer as they usually do for limited offers. https://themeparks.com.au/benefits/monthly-benefits -
What do you mean? Does the app now show wait times for the WB Kids attractions? The VQ part of the app had no changes when I visited for a few hours yesterday.

Interesting little tidbit buried in the opening hours FAQ for WNW. -
Some updates presumably in preparation for School Holidays at SW/WNW. The listed Virtual Que attractions have been expanded significantly.

Looks like they took the feedback on board that the app does not show ride maintenance clearly enough. Shows on each of the 3 main parks. -

Not a great time for Scooby to unexpectedly need some work Let’s hope they can get it back online ASAP, it was originally listed as 21-22 Jul I was in the park on Monday and it went down around 2ish. -

Quoted for truth, I saw countless people enjoying themselves, the park mood was was far from dreary. Main St performances now travel down Main St, you would struggle to find a time on main st prior to 3pm when you couldn’t find a character. I would argue with this in place the park is atmosphere is excellent. I used it on opening day, it works as intended in my experience. I got on rivals after booking immediately at opening around 10:30, by 11:30 the virtual wait was 5 hours with a return time close to park close. If anyone is complaining it wasn’t working it’s most likely due to all slots simply being full. -

Dreamworld ceased selling tickets immediately after closing. SkyPoint is back to selling tickets once again so I assume once we have a firm reopening date DW ticketing will also resume. VRTP have been good with their offer, extending it to existing pass holders even. It's smart as almost all the offers require an additional spend. Bring a friend to Carnival for free being the exception. Must redeem by July 15 with each offer having different expiry's/conditions. -
Dreamworld have updated their COVID page with what attractions will be not be available on reopening, no real surprises.

All memberships by this point are month to month, so you can always cancel if you are not happy. Aussie World is reopening July 2nd, reduced hours and capacity, online tickets required. https://www.aussieworld.com.au/covid-update
