  1. Website has now been updated, the current ticket prices are "early bird $10 off" advertised as ending August 21.
  2. https://vr-tpgoldcoast.secure-cdn.oc.accessoticketing.com/subKeyword/MW - Fright Nights,MW - Fright Nights Passes Direct link to the ticketing site, admission tickets are actually starting cheaper this year (my ticket for the first night last year was $89 vs $79 this year). First Bite has gone from $59 > $69 and no longer lists a viewing area for the opening as a perk, last bite is now a slice of pizza rather than a meal too. Just those that purchase the One Pass + FN Ticket Bundle 2 new mazes to be announced soon, plus Circurse Maze, Hellship Maze and DCeased Maze. There's also to be (mentioned in the inclusions for the event specific photo pass) Maze Photography from inside 2 new mazes to be announced soon, plus DCeased Maze.
  3. VRTP have teased their afterpay day sale commencing on Thursday. Fright Night tickets are mentioned.
  4. Socials and website have been updated to reveal a new logo and teased its “coming soon”. Hopefully that means a September-October opening. https://movieworld.com.au/attractions/scooby-doo-spooky-coaster This is the other option, they have pushed out advertising now simply because they see the progress/success of Dreamworld’s King Claw campaign.
  5. Wasn't when I posted, but glad the website is live with dates now.
  6. IMHO, purely dates didn’t need a teaser announcement. Website isn’t even live yet/literally just dates.
  7. Just hoping for at least 3 new mazes considering we had no new mazes last year. I think the likelihood of not everything being announced tonight and gradually releasing mazes is high considering how they have done it previously.
  8. Could actually need more maintenance but to me this very much feels like saving on the staff wages when it won’t be popular in the current temps.
  9. How about a new annual pass product considering the recent survey? I would love to climb GD but I think it's highly unlikely.
  10. They really don't seem to care anymore (photo taken yesterday).
  11. I was cautiously optimistic of the ride returning to the opening (of the ride) standard when this was announced, but after Oz and various visible maintenance/upkeep issues around the park I don’t have faith anymore. I’m not even confident it will open this year tbh.
  12. Fairly sure @rappa was talking about the Oz Chamber projections, I was in on Sunday and can state this was the case.
  13. This feels to me as insurance costs $1000000 with the old fence and only $200000 with the new. Either that or they decided everyone should suffer due to the patrons that would rest children on the fence/don’t adequately supervise. There’s been a couple of times where I have seen west staff literally yell at people from load due to stupidity.
  14. I visited MW yesterday morning before DW and can echo these comments, SE was only running one train and with the same staff member moving between sort/unload. FOTWW went down as I was about to board and general slow operations across the entire park.
  15. It's a shame guests can no longer get up close to the Baldwin or Firetruck but it makes sense considering how stupid and litigious people can be.
  16. I'm not sure if it's due to the current light works, or winds but I did note the fountains were not running on Sunday.
  17. Very much this considering they havent maintained the digital wait time sign at rivals.
  18. I’m not surprised doing something that improves the guest experience these days (and costs money) would be very out of character for the park.
  19. It was a general RACQ perk for tickers purchased via them at one point, one of my old passes purchased via RACQ at the time has “Early Entry” printed on the physical card.
  20. I have certainly had issues with Bikash and vice versa but as much as I hate to agree with @DaptoFunlandGuy I have to agree with his statement.
  21. Very much this, happy and valued staff make a huge difference. I have heard an absurd amount of stories from staff former and current about a toxic workplace culture and have witnessed firsthand management make threats. Very much agree with this, Greg leaving and BGH Capitol takeover marked a sharp decline and it's by no means irreversible. I think the response to the initial video speaks to the general reviews, and peoples experience over the past few years that in my opinion has caused reputational damage to VRTP. I have held an annual/membership since 2006, and I visit much less than I used to due to the declining standards across various aspects of the business and increasingly poor guest experience.
  22. To be clear I was talking about the previous and current renewal pricing. With the $50 included in new passes it’s guaranteed revenue for the park regardless of if it’s used, I would wager not everyone will use it all/remember to use it before it expires. Same principle as why retailers love gift cards/vouchers.
  23. Agreed, but @DaptoFunlandGuy is absolutely correct for once/is making sense. They did actually raise the price to $119 for a period (and included some Bonus Vouchers) but ultimately have settled at $99. What's even crazier is currently if you don't renew at $99 eventually you will be offered a renewal as cheap as $69.
  24. I did "Rainforest Lumina" by the same company in Singapore Zoo, definitely worth a wander through if you enjoy this sort of thing.
