  2. Well given the fact there are no cranes or additional lighting at MW at the moment I would be inclined to think nothing will be happening this evening so very little point continuing... But if you have been you probably saw me going through in the last hour or so
  3. Fingers crossed for containers to start arriving this afternoon, this evening or tomorrow morning... Last container ship for 3 days docked a little under 2 hours ago... And if... IF... JL3D and Batwing closures have anything to do with the new coaster installation that gives 3 weeks instead of 2 or 2 and a half... A sign that I have nothing better to do on a Friday night... http://queensland.snarl.com.au/cams/single/201 Wife is going to Brisbane for a live music performance tonight... She was surprised when I volunteered to drive her there.... Up the highway and back...
  4. Could it be new production offices so they can remove the buildings near the new roller coaster? Give MW more room to expand and keep the noise away from the office workers?
  5. Could also be for keeping tools secure when not in use...
  6. YAY!!! Happy to be wrong here if they contain coaster parts... Little Mr had been asking if we could go to MW this weekend... Guess it is a definite yes now...
  7. So after digging through the parkz database and old threads... With GL they said they would make an announcement in July 2011... August 28 black support parts arrived... September 8 track arrived... Started releasing some images September 16... Announce GL Coaster September 17... On December 21 2004 it was announced "Warner Bros. Movie World is set to open a $12 million Superman themed roller coaster in 2005".... June 22 2005 MW had signage stating the ride name... Sometime in July track arrived and during July and August construction started... Could go either way really... 2 month delay in announcement and 3 weeks after parts arrived GL was announced... 7 months before track arrived we knew it was a Superman coaster...
  8. When was the announcement for Superman or Green Lantern made in relation to parts arriving or construction beginning? Would look myself but logging out of computer at work to head home... Will look back later if no one else has or wants to spend the time...
  9. No it isn't... AA is a grey colour... Blue Tornado is white track with blue supports... The layout is the same though...
  10. CPO Jacksonville today... Shuntien tomorrow and staying a few days... My money is on Lexa Maersk... Arrives 03/03/2017... Approx 14:15... Flying Denmark flag... Currently in Singapore... Departs 04/03/2017... 06:00... Gives them this week to make an announcement before the parts start arriving as TBH... Would be stupid to make one afterwards... More than happy to be wrong with this but only if parts arrive earlier... Later and you would wonder why they closed it off a week earlier...
  11. I'm not trying to strip him of anything... I have all his old films in my collection and think the man was an absolute genius for what he achieved... I'm simply pointing out he did not win an Oscar specifically for portraying the character...
  12. He did not win any Oscars directly for the portrayal of the character of Charlie Chaplin which is who he is dressed as...
  13. Umm... Marilyn Monroe, Judy Garland and Charles Chaplin never won an Oscar... Audrey Hepburn did but not for Breakfast at Tiffany's... Monroe was never even nominated... How about Vivien Leigh in Gone With The Wind, Liza Minnelli in Cabaret, Rex Harrison in My Fair Lady, Tom Hanks in Forrest Gump...
  14. Anyone heading down to MW this weekend for their Oscars 2017 event? Was wanting to go but with work and then study it has become a busy weekend... Would love to see pics of the event and any of the characters they bring out
  15. Doesn't have to be RCT... Never stopped DW when running one attendant alternating between 2 rides in kids areas and we all know that parents will make more noise as they have to deal with the kids complaining... Didn't stop MW alternating BATR and LTRR... Doesn't stop WNW not operating Calypso Beach for almost half the year... Didn't stop DW from closing attractions for half the day or only opening on weekends...
  16. Still wont watch that opening sequence... Only scene in recent memory that has made me squirmish enough to the point I wont watch it again... Love the rest of the movie though More on topic... Anyone have any idea where Mack would normally ship from?
  17. Doesn't always have to be maintaining the ride based... Ultimately that means they would only send one cycle every 20 rides instead of the current two cycles every 20 on quiet days... $AVING$!!!
  18. I agree pretty much with that list... But also agree Affinity seems a little high on the list... Also... That moment when your company has removed 3 of the "Top 12 Theme Park Attractions of all Time" and replaced them with poor - semi decent replacements...
  19. Well I got the following... Nothing on that list in Container, General Cargo (or stretch Barge Carrier) either pulling into Brisbane today or as next dock... So not arriving until at least Wednesday Of the Container or General Cargo ships currently sitting at Brisbane... They are flying either Hong Kong, Chinese, or Portuguese flags...
  20. So... Does this mean it will remain in its current state until late August?
  21. Correct... But it does a 90 degree left turn before it heads through the door I think is what they are trying to say... Also if you lengthen the section before it turns for the unload section you can shorten the length of the loading section... But again... I get the "based on" doesn't mean it needs to be totally accurate Still a lot more effort than I have put into PC... Played it for about a week when it came out and haven't looked at it since
  22. Better contact MW then and tell them they actually have 2 kid coasters then...
  23. I remember riding it, being in the front row, and the brakes at the top disappearing from view under the front of the ride carriage... I think on one occasion we actually nudged them... So yes... It did go a lot higher in earlier days... Credit to http://www.rollercoasterking.com/article/tower-of-terror-2/
