  1. Family: designed to be suitable for children as well as adults. Junior: for or denoting young or younger people.
  2. Opinion: a view or judgement formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.
  3. We only go during the week as I get one weekday off every three weeks...
  4. I don't understand everyone saying MW is a half day park... Wait for Superman and Scooby is always 30-45 minutes when we are there, Green Lantern, Batwing Spaceshot and Arkham are usually 20-30 minutes, Wild West Falls and Dogems about 15 minutes, RRRC about 10 minutes. Add in Road Runner 4D, HWSD2... (And for us all the kids rides)... Waiting about 4 hours if not more to go on rides plus ride times, plus Roxy and HWSD2 is at least 5 hours plus lunch (and for us the kids rides)... Meanwhile DW half of it is shut or operates short hours, and almost everything is walk on... Done in 3 hrs or less everytime we have been...
  5. We used to frequent Dreamworld for the Vintage cars, train, Wiggles area, Dreamworks areas with our son. As he got a little older he got over these attractions and now will race to Looney Tunes area to go on all the rides there, as well as WWF, JL3D, and as soon as he is tall enough will be on SDSC. My wife is a thrill ride junkie so is happy with whatever park but does have some issue with extreme heights so not as big a fan of DW for that reason. Personally, due to medical conditions, I am not big on thrill rides and prefer themeing, shows and other attractions. Therefore overall MW is a much better draw card for us and we can (with my son going on each ride multiple times) fill a whole day, whereas with non operating or infrequently operating rides, non interest or inability to ride DW is done in a matter of hours for us. Not big on water parks, never have been, but do prefer WnW over WWW.
  6. They probably could... But what would they do about the second one?
  7. It's always like this... If your opinion varies to theirs they like to hark on about it and cram it down your throat every possibility... HOWEVER!!! Get it right and they happily converse and get excited with you and so on... It is a two way street... It has though pushed me back into more lurking than posting especially when almost everything certain people post I agree almost 100% with... Just can't be bothered with it and have better ways to spend my time!!!
  8. Because my young son can better enjoy himself at one park which has more on offer for him open all day long rather than closed during the week or at stupid times.
  9. River Rapids given a more cohesive and relevant story / experience and opened for the entire day. Mine Ride replaced with a more interesting and up to date wild mouse coaster. Small spontaneous shows throughout the year instead of just during school holidays. Bring back the bushranger outfits for Kenny and Belinda so thy can hang around that area for photo ops during the day. Give staff working Rapids a refresher course on addition and counting to 6 to help ease long waits for the ride.
  10. This leaves the Tijuana Taxis and the Roxy Theatre as the last remaining opening day attractions? I mean sure the graveyard wasn't an attraction as much as a small bit of fun themeing but it was interactive with the breathing graves and such. I am wondering if given the area closed off they might retheme that particular area and leave the walkway from the Wild West Falls sign down to Wild West as their western area?
  11. Now we are out of holiday season we will probably be there every couple of weeks. So will keep an eye out at what is going on unless updated previously.
  12. I just don't understand why there needs to be any sort of fast pass system. There are queues for rides, you want to ride it you queue like everyone else. The main problems which have already been mentioned are capacity, efficiency and variety. They had big capacity attractions which were themed well and pretty immersive, now they don't. This is a result of the GP wanting coasters and thrill rides which notoriously have lower capacity than some of their previous attractions. The spiels and pre ride stuff, interactions with staff as a result helped forget you were technically still waiting to get on a ride or attraction (WWF video, LW video, LTRR, Batman Ride, Great Gremlin Adventure videos). The VIP passes (which I have said before elsewhere, yes did get them through GFC) have flooded the park with the fact that again the GP now expect this low price for these tickets. Long before they were released I remember being told they were looking into it but it would be at a cost equal to two annual passes but include annual entry to all three. I can imagine if they tried to put up the pricings there would be massive backlash and complaining. Look what happened when they removed the themed evenings from inclusion with the VIP pass and added a tier system to include it. We know MW is limited or space so adding an attraction usually results in the removal of another. People are not happy unless they have something to complain about. Complain there are not enough thrill rides and coasters = park puts in more thrill rides and coasters = people complain the park is too busy as there are not enough high capacity attractions to deal with this.
  13. Mike waved at the booth and they put a fake arm out waving back. The window was then slammed and the arm dropped as if they had cut someones arm off.
  14. Regarding Mike... He was a stunt man first at the park but then moved to the entertaining pre show role. I know there were reasons behind this move (which for his privacy I wont disclose) but he was no longer in a position to perform as a stunt person. He did indeed move to Dreamworld with the AVPX along with a few other ex MW performers in various roles. He has also continued to do his stand up comedy. He now is one half of "The Dream Guards" which does public and private performances " To Excite Children by delivering a High Energy Interactive Stage Show nourishing a Child's Passion & Self Belief".
  15. So according to average measurements... Shoulder width is approx 45cm (1'6")... Allow for some personal space and call it 60cm... Old stand: 1850cm x 5 rows = 9250cm / 60cm = 154 people (rounded) New stand: 850cm x 14 rows = 11900cm / 60cm = 198 people (rounded) They can fit an extra 44 people... However... Minus the seating for control booth and the VIP section (approx half of 5 rows) and they probably break about even!!!
  16. The exit ramp at the Looney Tunes end was straight to the road. Where it meets the road is still in the same place so it was widened by however far that path kinks to the right.
  17. I spend my days on phones to people all day in an inbound call centre. People are not always right, sometimes they are downright wrong. They do always have a valid opinion though as so long as you acknowledge their emotion and feelings about something most will be fine when told they are incorrect.
  18. Going to cop backlash for this... Oh yay... Another coaster...
  19. Looks like it will be decent food hopefully and definitely something to try... But struggling to understand opening another food outlet when they don't even open all the ones they already have?
  20. It was in the original guest services area for a while, then behind ricks and most recently in the western area.
  21. On all day yesterday and pressure cleaning of the concrete exit path and station was happening.
  22. It has a large display window (all fixed glass) and there is an industrial extraction fan in one corner. Carousel panels siting everywhere in that area but central section not there.
  23. The gondolas were at the back of the park resting on pallets, visible from the Resort monorail station a couple of weeks ago.
  24. One side of the story being reported today... https://www.thedodo.com/project-blue-world-seaworld-breeding-1396292502.html?utm_source=BfishFB2
