Interesting though that people don't do this crap to everyone. Just those with whom they seldom agree. Great to see cars on the tracks and can't wait to see what sort of themeing they will get in there in the 16 days if they are still going for December 15.
-
I have been informed they had some issues with the last piece of track not meeting up by about 7cm. They are still hoping to meet the December 15 opening though.
-
But a family of 5 including smaller children cannot all ride Scooby together can they? The smaller children don't meet the height restrictions on Scooby where they would have on Gremlins. How is this still a family ride if the whole family cannot go on it? It brings us back to the babysitting fiasco previously mentioned.
-
Yet to see as no interest but families with small children... I have no current interest however with the wife currently pregnant I am sure that once we have a young child this would be something that would become an interest to my family. Shows and themeing over rides. Meaning I prefer them over rides. Doesn't mean I have to like them all. How is it any different to the people in these forums that say the love coasters yet dislike MDMC? I did not say they need to just build more stuff I'm, sorry, I'M interested in, that would just be stupid. They need to look at how they do their polls because they are obviously missing a great chunk of the public opinion. I work in the hospitality industry where we provide accomodation for many thousands of tourists each year. The comments I make, as I have said before, are also the comments that have been made to me by these people that stay at our hotel and attend the parkz.

Except when 5/7 rides at MW are coasters. Remembering they are closing the other rides and attractions to put these things in. Yes I know space doesn't allow it but if they were complimenting the rides line up instead of replacing it making it 5/10 which would still include a selection of family rides as well.

To finish this off take a look at this time last year; - White Christmas a sold out smash!!! - Castaway Bay a real themeing spectacle that we hadn't seen in a long time featuring 3 attractions - Excellent addition, awesome themeing, spend most of my day at Seaworld there, especially since the pirate themed wedding we had 3 years ago. Definately the greatest addition in the parkz over the year. It is a family area where younger and older kids can do their own things as well as part of the family. - Penguin Encounter - While I like the idea and it is interesting to see them change the building from one exhibit to another, the top viewing area having only one entry/exit point is a serious design flaw. - 4 Looping waterslides, Aqua Loop - Which have a great operational record and most people I know complain they will not go on them again due to injuries received from the slides. - 3 pay per play attractions at W'n'W - Pay per play? Seriously? Is this like toll roads where they didn't actually have the money to cover the purchase so it will be paid off over time by people paying to use it? - A amped up Halloween Fright Nights with our first set of Franchised Mazes - Which are still being horribly oversold from comments of people I know that have been. - Illuminate - New 4D Movie Journey to the Centre of the Earth - As mentioned in another thread by someone else, a cut down version of a poor film to make a decent 4D experience. However I personally enjoy this experience. - New 3D Movie Happy Feet - Yet to see as I have no interest but sure families with young children would love it. - The lair, new exhibit at Dreamworld - Which saw White Lions while their exhibit elsewhere was being refurbished. What has been in there since other than the tigers? - The wedgie new water slide for WWW - TOT II - Have not been on this since it became TOTII. Yet while we were seeing all this unravel this years new Attractions and Events were being put together. You can't sit there and tell me that your atleast a little satisfied by what our parks are doing with what they possibly can. Quite your complaining!!! Added my comments along side yours to show I don't simply bitch and whinge about everything our parkz do. Yes they have made some fantastic additions over the years, I have never said they haven't. What I have been saying is along the lines of Themeparknut2011's comment. The recent influx of rollercoasters into our parkz is creating a coaster overload feel. I am and have always been a shows and themeing over rides person, always will be. While I am really looking forward to the themeing that will be put alongside GL, I am not excited about the coaster itself.

The pulsing LEDs on the front are pretty pointless unless they running this in the dark. That was my thought the second I saw them. Why did I not post it. Cos this is the response most times I express my opinions. Again, as always, I have to explain myself. Never said I hate the parkz. I like if not love them. Never been a fan of coasters. There is a difference. 70% is not everyone is it? Wasn't going to say it but everyone here dislikes my opinions anyways so might as well... I have always wished they updated the Movie Magic Sound Stage Tour instead of ripping it out to add another coaster. I hated when they took out a nice flat family ride (Gremlins) and added another coaster. I don't think that the location chosen for this new coaster is the best idea. I hate that Seaworld covered up the small bit of water that actually warranted the bridge being there to put in a coaster. I hate that Dreamworld moved the Model T Fords to the back of the park to put in a coaster. I hate that Wet n Wild, a park that is about waterslides and attractions put in a coaster. These are my opinions and are just as valid as anyone elses here. Don't like it? Stick it.

"Everyone loves a roller-coaster and this is a cool coaster,'' she said. They need to look at a larger group for their opinion polls then...
-
So why is this site called parkz if it's only the coasters people care about? See my previous post as this conversation has already popped up in this forum...
-
Or you could just not care about coasters in general...

Jamberoo's New Smartphone App and Bus
MaxxTheMonster replied to Jamberoo Fan's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Since I agree with Gazza that using a portable website would allow more people to use the program and not just those with iPhones, I voted No and No I won't download. Therefore I don't believe any other parkz should do it. So why do I have to select a park I think should? Vote poll fail. -

Paralympian Movie World Embarrasment

During my daily routine of getting up to date with the news so I know what the hell some of the guests are talking about came across this: http://news.ninemsn.com.au/slideshowajax/world/177005/amputee-thrown-from-rollercoaster-dies.slideshow I applaud MW for not allowing her on the ride. If this had happened prior I wonder if her attitude would be different? -
I'm not complaining. I love the new floats they keep putting in the parades. I was simply making a statement following on from jimmyonparkz. Probably the only thing I would have to say is that the LMFAO skit, while it looks awesome and definately has the interests of the crowd, this song is being used to death in a lot of places now. In saying that, would love to head down and see it. Can someone please fix the title of this forum? It's been annoying me for a few weeks now...

The parade when they brought out Scooby Doo was great. Had the typical story of Daphne being captured and then the Looney Tunes and Batman helping to get her back with the villians siding with the ghosts. It had everything, good choreography, fly wires, dancing, good music and a decent story to tie them all together. With Green Lantern coaster around the corner I would hope they will turn to a superhero story and make the parade more interesting than simply floats, waving and dancing.

Not sure where else to post this, so this will do... Spending a fun filled afternoon randomly "surfing the net" and came across this: http://www.kuriositas.com/2011/10/mangyongdae-last-funfair-in-north-korea.html

Didn't say it was a bad thing. If anything is a great thing. Don't have any alternatives in mind, just as I said, not sure about it. About the highway grass area, spoke with my source a few weeks ago and he confirmed from what he has been told it was to be part of the adrenalin park that has been discussed in this thread previously. However at the time he first mentioned it, the idea had not been confirmed due to the issues I have mentioned previously.

Decided to take a detour home from Brisbane to Logan and pass MW. The coaster looks amazing but I'm not sure about the placement. It could just be the temporary fencing everywhere putting me off, but I must say it is a more intimidating sight driving into the carpark than Buzzsaw.
-
Most of our guests are either interstate or from overseas here on holidays. No one has said anything about either the passes or prices.
-
Can't say I have ever jumped on that boat. This, this right here. That's what I'm talking about.
-
I can only speak for myself as I do not know the circumstances of every person in the forums. From your post I will say for you and your family yes they were a fantastic option. I had an Annual Pass to MW from New Years Day 2000 through to a couple of years ago. The VIP passes came out and I stopped attending MW almost altogether as the direction of the park was no longer of interest to me. Remembering that the park is first and foremost a business and all businesses need to turn a profit to remain operating. The passes did what MW intended them to do, kept revenue up and kept the park operating during a financially difficult time for everyone. Sure the flip side is it became a great deal for a lot of people but I am sure they didn't decide "Hey why don't we bring out this pass because it will be a great deal for the general public. Oh and we just might make some money along the way."

Again, I am only stating what I am told by guests to the hotel at which I work. I still recommend all parkz to guests and let them make the decision of where to go as my opinion is mine alone and let them make the choice themselves. If you choose not to believe that people I have spoken to when I ask about their day are making these remarks that is your choice. I figure this is a forum about parkz, this thread is about the GL coaster going in at MW, and the comments made to me by these guests are a relevant point brought up by members of the community in regards to this topic. I have since day dot said I prefered the old MW (shows and experiences) over the new MW (rides and lack of decent shows). Just because I seem to be in the minority in these forums does not mean I am the only person in the wider public that feels this way. It would be like taking a group of 100 people from the city and saying their opinions are the same and therefore can be a good reflection of the approximately 20 million Australians spread throughout the continent. While it gives you a very loose and general idea it will more likely than not miss a great deal of issues that people from the outback and coastline areas.
