Not really... There was no signage for the Mini Cars in the park... There were HUGE posters in SW for Wild which were then removed and given that the animals they were to be receiving were being rehoused from somewhere else they would have had to have been sent elsewhere after funds for Wild were redistributed for the polar bear preschool at short notice...

It need finishing touches on the supports, the queue area still needs a bit of work, the railings need putting up, the pool needs a lick of paint, area needs to be landscaped... Still a fair bit to do, of course all of these can be done after th gondola is back in place so a quick turn around could be possible from this point. I am there again next Thursday so will see what stage it is at.

The only park I think needs another coaster is Dreamworld to make up for Cyclone, Buzzsaw and MDMC. MW has 5 coasters and SW 3 already... Those parks need a bit more variety

With how slow the progress on Wipeout has been given what they need to do perhaps they realised that they had bit off more than they can chew... I have never seen more than 2 people working on it and even then it was one on the entry area and one on the arms...

They will be at the RACQ Motorfest again this year

I said... By the end of the day they had almost met it up with the lighter blue on the top half of the arm... The dark blue did not go all the way to the top... It stopped where the light blue of the top half stops... Buffet... Because my wife and son enjoyed it and rather than screwing up a nice family day out at the time bit my tongue... The needs of the many outweight the needs of the few or one...

This is the blue it was painted... By the end of the day they had almost met it up with the lighter blue on the top half of the arm... The weights were also painted the same dark blue except the area inside the yellow tape... Blasted concrete removing the cream colour... Reef diver removal almost complete... So are you supposed to climb on this piece of equipment or not... I'm confused... Decided to have lunch in the Billabong Buffet today... Discount for world pass holder and for being an RACQ member meant it cost us less for myself, my wife and our 2 year old than it would have been to get a hotdog, chips and drink each... TBH I think I would have preferred the hotdog... Poor selection which was nothing like the "example" menu at the door and because it was far away from the door you could not look before paying...

At Dreamworld now and Wipeout is getting a coat of dark blue... They have also blasted most of the pathway lifting the cream coloured paint.

At the height of my obsession with the park I went 13 days out of 14 and spend each day only doing one ride or experience over and over... By far my favourite was the Movie Magic tour even though it was a fair bit dated by that time. Sadly the additions the parks now no longer have the appeal to do something as... weird or compulsive... they experience is removed in place of the thrills... Hope this addition is completely immersive for the target audience and I agree with Brad... Surely little kids would prefer to drive around a looney tune (or god forbid I suggest it, DC) themed track

But wasn't that part of the charm and immersion in the experience... I would much rather that then someone just walking me through and onto the river ride.

I will be there next Thursday so unless someone else heads down before then I will try and get a few.

With the roof over main street it can feel like it is inside a large studio so that part is fine...

I'm with you here liz... My problem is going to be my 2yo son is car crazy and will want to do this but most likely wont be able to since parents obviously can't accompany them... I think it is as mentioned above, a larger version of Speedy Taxis...

The 3 for 3 pass is ideal for tourists who want to attend the three parks while up/down on the Gold Coast. The VIP pass I thought was only for QLD residents... 1 day entry = Asian tourists?

Watched River Rapids fill and empty on Wednesday but sadly no way to film it on the day...

Wonder if DW were counting on this donation to be able to redirect funds for the new additions to the park and that is why Wipeout has been delayed and we are yet to see any work start elsewhere... /sarcasm

The trike was in the log ride above the ride in the first flat tunnel. It is now where the elephants used to be at the rapids. Also... The mushrooms on log ride are gone!!! I had thought that was what it showed all along... Only was able to confirm that yesterday... You are right it is not about age... But that is the problem with common sense...

For so many years they had the black security 4x4 driving laps around the carpark all day. Looks like they may have been cost cutting in the wrong areas. In saying that, they certainly aren't legally liable for damage to guests property when parked in what is really a public carpark so why would they pay for someone to monitor it?

At less than 7 years older than you I don't think age is the problem. Hell my younger brother is 3 years younger than you and can make that connection. Regardless of that though neither explains why there is a dinosaur when you get outside...

Sure Wyn has posted something correcting details that other have put incorrectly... Wyn must be wrong... Explain why, they are escaping in the second scene... Why are there wanted posters in the queue line... Have a look at old vaults which show sectioned areas using metal cages or bars... They used the explosives to gain access to the gold store so they can rob it... The gold may not have been stored near the bars and at the back of the gold store instead so it could not be reached without gaining access...

Finally facing the right direction on this ride to see it properly... In the back of the first scene it says "This way to gold storage"... In the next scene above the door it says "Gold store"... It is not a jail as people so frequently say... There is no reference to a jail anywhere on the ride... The wanted posters hint that they have already escaped so why would there be a scene showing them escaping???

Was there today. Still no real visible progress on Wipeout other than angle grinding on the arms. Reef diver still has not been touched. Buzzsaw is currently down for maintenance yet nothing done on it today either.
