  1. Cheers for the photos Anyone know what they would have been doing/trying to do where all the paint has been stripped back to white at the start of the corkscrews?
  2. Please. From me, if you get a chance, would you mind getting some shots of the lake looking from the show seating area, a shot of the area around the lighthouse, then a shot of the land reclamation please?
  3. LOL! You really think because they got rid of the train that they'd really go to the effort of removing the track??
  4. Complete scrap metal now. They could sell off some parts to collectors. IMO they should have also mapped it and created mini models of it
  5. You'd rather keep an unpopular fair ride and retheme it than replace it with one that's already proven to be more popular? Dreamworld can't win here. I've been overly critical of them in the past, but I'm starting to see some good in them recently. They just can't win on here, we hate them when they don't try and we hate them when they do. Their target market isn't the enthusiast market, it's to have happy people from all walks of life go and spend money to enjoy themselves in the park. They realise that they don't need Disney style theming to pull that off and that's what keeps their investors happy.
  6. To clarify on that, I wasn't meaning for RD to be replaced with a coaster, I was just meaning overall for the park to get a new coaster over a spin-n-spew. Those of you saying Panda doesn't fit in, what would you have put there instead?
  7. While I don't go in for the spin n spews, I have to admit, panda has been done really well and I'm with you Flea, it's great to see an addition like that. Not everyone who goes to the park wants the most thrilling thing they've ever been on. They need to cater to a wider demographic and I think they've done well there. And while Tailspin isn't the coaster we were all hoping for, it's a good addition in the space they had to work with and given that it's a choose your own adventure ride it should be a hit. I just hope they theme it well and don't give up on it.
  8. Well it's good to see it up and running again. It does sound a bit different , I think I preferred the old sounds. (Going by the DW video)
  9. Ardent own M9, M9 uses Delta Strike gear, so it would be pretty stupid to go source another manufacturers gear when they can just order some more from the company they already deal with.
  10. I'm certainly looking forward to the ride. I just don't hold much hope for their theming, but I'd love to be proven wrong by the park. I guess once this one is done and depending on what they do to RH, we should get a good indication of where they're heading.
  11. 1 - what ride is that? 2 - be careful overloading it with CSO
  12. I'm assuming from that photo it will just be like the concepts for WWW and we won't see anything theming on it at all, apart from maybe the propeller. Go on Dreamworld. Prove me wrong. Dreamworld: 10 rides per hour ~120 pph
  13. I personally prefer the laser tag over a permanent "travelling fair" ride.
  14. Thanks for the update........about your upcoming update? It was ........really.......insightful?
  15. Whilst not a question specifically for you, I'd heard a rumour that each launch of the ToT effectively doubles the park's energy use at the time of launch. Surely this is a stupid rumour right? It can't be true?
  16. I've been told by someone else on here that the mushrooms had been removed from RH. Where are they now and are they ok?
  17. Pretty sure we all know the new ride to replace Reef Diver is a wooden B&M flying coaster. Cheers for the info. I hope the log ride does get really well done.
  18. Actually, one thing I forgot to ask in the other thread. > What's currently inside the Eureka mountain? I know it's storage, but 1 - what is in storage, 2 - you said they never really had a clear reason for the closure, but have they ever given any mention of the removal? or was is just one of those things they never spoke of again? > From what you heard, are we likely to see anything new any time soon (apart from the obvious) or are they finally more focused on the rejuvenation of the park? > Regarding RHLR, do you know what they're planning for the revamp? Is it just the same basic stuff they do every other year (re-do the final drop), or are they going for a re-theme theme? > Are you the older dude that operated the train?
  19. Fair enough - bit of a shame since there's so many that need more love than RH. Any idea of an estimate of Announcement > Commencement > Re-opening dates?
  20. Was that the announcement you were talking about or are we going to hear of their other ride revamp plan soon?
  21. You're not supposed to tell them that. You're supposed to hint at it being a B&M so everyone loses their shit over it while the few of us sit back and laugh at the idiots.
