  1. Seems like the Techno Jump is a more common replacement for it at travelling shows.
  2. Quala Country Jamboree Also, whoa, "Road To Gundagai" and "Country Mile" gave me flashbacks being a kid and actually enjoying that music in primary school.
  3. Replacement for the Skyway at Sea World? http://www.intaminworldwide.com/amusement/GiantWheels/Spokeless+Wheel/tabid/143/ProductNumber/Spokeless+Wheel/language/de-DE/Default.aspx
  4. This year? No. Prior to comm games? Yes. I would hope for a full park refresh. It's like they're forgetting about the rest of the park. Ocean parade looks great, but the back of the park from RH all the way around to the other side of OP needs some 'refresh' now. The good thing is that while it's not too bad at the moment, it shouldn't take much to refresh it. Bit of paint, general tidy up etc.
  5. Well yeah if they're working on it it makes sense, but if they're not, I would have expected at least a tarp.
  6. Still my point. They're not going to attach the "car"? "gondola"? until the arms are in place. They don't even seem to have finished the foundations yet. My assumption now is they've taken then from the container for an inspection and will be putting them away somewhere soon.
  7. Yeah but why not have the parts there, but sitting inside a container if they're not ready to be worked on? Or have the parts there but under a tarp until they're needed? I would have just expected them to want everything scratch/scuff/bird poop/damage free until launch day or at least until they were fixed onto the ride.
  8. So 9.5 years now. In an industry such as this where everything is so expensive why waste any time?
  9. Exactly. You expect it out when it's open, but why add 6 months wear and tear for no reason?
  10. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Tower_of_Terror_II&type=revision&diff=712895178&oldid=529256478
  11. ^ Giant rubber band, hence the lighter the load, the further it goes.
  12. So apart from having the seats out in the sun to start fading before day 1, nothing has really changed in a while it seems.
  13. To me that's more of an advanced motion simulator. I think the way SF have done it is way more immersive. I also note though that 10 years ago this ride would have been somewhat groundbreaking technology. Also what happened after the 10 months? Did they remove the VR bit or remove the whole ride? edit - Ah, wasn't a popular destination so the whole place closed down.
  14. Converting it to a dark ride walk-through isn't just an overnight process....
  15. True, I just can't see a way for it to work other than how it is. It's not exactly like they can strap your head in. Still, I guess we've got to start somewhere.
  16. How would you propose they build it in, or integrate it?
  17. Do you know that they're not though? I haven't read through the whole thread so I don't know if you've tried it first hand sorry. I was thinking maybe with Samsung sponsoring and making the headsets they're using that it might be decent enough? Although it is Samsung and they're known to be laggy and crap.
  18. The other VIP packages meeting the larger tigers. It's basically a photo studio for the tigers.
  19. Fair enough then. The loops are fine , the section of track that 9/11's the building might be an issue though.
  20. How small do they think Mickey's Wheel is?!?!
  21. Should we all go call him out and see how quickly we get blocked?
  22. So the whale shooting food harvesting, sorry, "researching" dark ride is out?
