  1. I visited EKKA today, and was very shocked to see this ride. Of all the unbelievable stupidity, they completely failed to make any attempt to put cages on the log ride! No seat belts either. No lapbars. Absolutely nothing at all to prevent horrific accidents. I wonder how many there was this week. I will not be going to the EKKA again.
  2. Drives me to get as far away from the noise as I can.
  3. Wrong thread. Read the one called "The New Atlantis Construction Updates" if you want to discuss the new rides Sea World is building.
  4. That certainly does put it in perspective. All those EKKA rides must have gone through the full approval process within the time since SkyVoyager was completed. Definitely shows that SkyVoyager would have been approved and opened by now had there not been something preventing that. Also gives me confidence that the new rides at Sea World probably will be approved and open as per schedule.
  5. As I said, I saw this in a world of pure imagination! #themeparkaddict Yes it was very silly. That was my intention in response to some of the previous messages which added no new information.
  6. I've just seen a new updated analysis of the situation. "SkyVoyager Opening Details" SkyVoyager is Dreamworlds long-awaited amazing new ride experience. Following many months of testing to ensure the highest safety standards, we are now very excited to announce that we have submitted an application to the relevant authorities who will carry out a final detailed assessment before approving the ride to be opened. As soon as this approval is granted, SkyVoyager will be opened! We anticipate that this may occur in the next few years, in a world of pure imagination."
  7. Storm was just a very poor attempt to patch up some of the damage done by removing BT. There would be no need for storm if BT was still operating.
  8. That's because it's a shed. It belongs in an industrial estate, not a theme park.
  9. I've known that for a while, but thanks!
  10. Or offer an alternative, that's similar but with different features. In this case, an adventure river rather than just another lazy river. I thought that was the plan at Dreamworld to be honest.
  11. Wouldn't a lazy river be a lazy way to expand the park, given there's already one at Wet & Wild?
  12. It's not current, but there's a new one planned for Cleland Wildlife Park in SA.
  13. Tier 1: Look. Tier 2: Think. Tier 3: Review.
  14. I'm a big fan of the "Hydrocoaster" (or Master Blaster as I call it), but I still think that would be a great new addition. Probably a good way for Wet n Wild to update their offer without just copying something already at Dreamworld.
  15. If before it's demolished they were to produce a special version of Big Brother in what remains of the house, I'd probably actually find it interesting enough to watch an episode!
  16. Could be. That might still be a good deal if it was $25 off the current price at one of the parks, but not if it's off the higher price.
  17. Discounted tickets are back on Groupon for $85.99 (adults). Not as cheap as it used to be but not bad. I'd still recommend going to one of the parks to see if you can get it cheaper before you book, but it's certainly another option worthy of consideration. If you need a new Village pass though, you'll get a $25 Outback Spectacular voucher with a new OnePass at the moment. Not quite sure but to me that sounds like you get a voucher that enables you to buy an adult ticket for $25, which is incredibly cheap.
  18. Maybe if it was inside the new helicopter shed, and it was at Dreamworld, it might be something some of the Dreamworld management (or former management) might consider to be a dark ride. It's not though of course.
  19. I must admit it's often at the back of my mind if I'm on a ride like a roller coaster, what if the person in front / behind / next to me throws up and the ride is traveling in a direction that causes it to go all over me? I guess it must happen fairly often. I'm not sure how it could be totally prevented considering all the different directions a ride can move in, and also the wind.
  20. I just laugh at such garbage. No point doing anything else.
  21. Sea World has signs at just about every place in the park where the likes of Justice for Captives could potentially cause disruption. The signs warn in no uncertain terms that anyone causing disruption will be arrested and subject to heavy fines. Sad it came to that, but I fully support Sea World on this.
  22. and I don't agree with comments like that.
