  1. They still have a fairly large patch of land up the back of the park don't they? Problem is, all of the animals are out near there.
  2. If it does, then you should have a good amount of time at the park. Unless your flying Jetstar...
  3. If your flight arrives at 12 you won't be at sea world until at least one. Gates close at five. That gives you at least four hours to go around. It honestly depends on how long the lines are. In my experience, you can never really know what the lines will be like, so don't bet on them being short. I think you could get at least one ride on the storm coaster and jet rescue, and if you can manage your time well, you'll be able to fit in the dolphin show.
  4. You really should have done a bit more work getting permission from people etc...
  5. This is quite sad, I remember these trains from a decade ago when I last rode on them. It likely is a mix of staffing and maintenance etc. costs contributing to the retirement.
  6. Although this isn't really the case with this coaster, they would have to check for clearance of added themeing objects etc.
  7. It's likely to be a mix of both. The momentum that you'll have from the drop will last a bit longer than the final splashdown, especially if it's still on track to the splashdown, or at least part of it.
  8. Thats Interesting, I thought they wouldn't be up to testing by then.
  9. Great Photos! Also, don't you mean the 23rd of August?
  10. I saw this on the news the other day, apparently it's a flood plain and if they actually built it there, you wouldn't be able to get in during the wet season.
  11. They'd have to close off a fairly large area around it to demolish it if it did have asbestos. And they couldn't pull it apart like any other building, they'd have to take it apart carefully and continuously spray it with water.
  12. Are you sure thats not just some wrecked boat being stored there? Looks like it to me If the theme can end up being like that, this will end up being a very good attraction. This could end up as a good recycling program, give your old boats and shipping containers to sea world!
  13. This is probably going to be very good for Sea World. Knowing of some of the success of the original opening of Polar Bear Shores, this could draw some fairly big crowds.
  14. It's probably just because they are both 99% identical.
  15. Do you honestly think that they would advertise a temporary attraction from almost 3 years before opening? And if it was temporary, it would have to be in place for at least 5 years, constantly moving the animals around would stress them out. I'm pretty sure that this is going to be permanent, or at least as permanent as a permanent attraction is...
  16. There isn't that much area for a themed area. Once it leaves the station it goes along for a little bit before going on to the list hill. The most themeing will probably be after the final drop.
  17. Oh, yeah :/ There was a fair bit of coast guard theme with it. But on topic, all the advertising stated a storm in a shipping port. So, it would make sense for the ride to be from the perspective of the Coast Guard going through the port and storm.
  18. To us that is. To the general public, this is major news. And newsagents seem to think so, I spotted a place in surfers with this as the main headline outside the store.
  19. As Gazza said, BT didn't have any animal related theme. And maybe the Coast Guard boats are just for the Nostalgia, as BT had CG boats too.
  20. You're not being too harsh, there're just being total idiots. It's good that they want to restore the trains, but they really need to at least make it clear they know what they are doing...
  21. I was in Southport this morning. It looks really good from across the broadwater. Also, to add to conversation about height, it doesn't actually look much higher than other structures on the spit/in sea world.
  22. Hopefully we will see some themeing popping up soon.
  23. The lift hill of the Storm Coaster looks taller than Sea Viper from all angles. I honestly think it is slightly taller.
  24. They will occasionally, especially when there is no one in the park. But I've found that it seems to break down whenever they have two trains running, though thats good, everyone leaves and you can walk right on when it's fixed.
  25. Thats a really good demonstration. They have a fair bit of room to put in some good themeing for the ride and hopefully they do.
