Yeah the trailer had a fire and stoped doing major shows, thought it was scraped.
-
I know it was for sale did they end of selling it? Doesn't seem to travel much these days. Since they stoped taking Sky Walker over to Perth seems they kinda pulled out of the PRS even when they sponsor the show.
-
Perth Royal Show posted this on Facebook, seems like a new traveling star flyer type ride. If you look at the shirts on the staff seems to be owned by Slingshot company. Good to see the Slingshot finally come back to Perth good 15+ years since its last trip. Was meant to come in 2020 but covid stoped it. So good to see it finally come back.

Also worth noting if you listen to the audio recording from the meeting in the Inventory Q&A session someone asked how much these new attractions will cost. Greg said $50-$60 million within the next 3 years of pipeline. (FY23/24/25) That can get a few attractions.. A Big thrill coaster, new slide tower, new Bluey dark ride/ABS world refresh) and a Mack Power Splash.

Reading more into the reports themselves: “We note that international visitation is still well below pre-pandemic levels, and this is having a material impact on non-holiday periods whilst the macro-economic outlook remains uncertain. Despite these factors, the business is well positioned with a strong, unencumbered balance sheet, fully owned land holdings and a pipeline of exciting new attractions set to be announced over the next six months.” That last line sounds pretty interesting... multiple announcements or multiple attractions. With contracts supposedly in the works we could see something major open next summer. Mack Power Splash would be good along with a Bluey dark ride/ABC kids refurb. Followed up with a RMC the year after.

Dr Gary Weiss's position has not changed, he remains the Chairmen of the board, the group did not have a CEO since 2018. "Greg will continue to act in his current role as CEO of Ardent’s Theme Parks and Attractions Division and his remuneration remains unchanged as a result of the appointment. Ardent has not had a Group CEO since June 2018 and therefore Mr Yong is not replacing any existing executive as Group CEO."
-
Also worth noting this: "Ardent Leisure Group Limited (ASX:ALG) announces that, with effect from today, its Theme Parks and Attractions Division CEO Greg Yong will assume the position of Ardent Leisure Group CEO in addition to his current role." With Ardent selling of main event and the theme parks its main division seems Greg is now the CEO of the entire Ardent Leisure Group.

Viking’s Revenge Flume Ride Removal

So for the next attraction do what do we all want to see? A thrilling inverting coaster to cover that thrill coaster market, a family water ride of sorts, a new flat ride (Ferris wheel or Pirate Ship?) Or some sort of indoor dark ride? Or all above -
Or I wonder if DC found out about it and made them close it cos it wasn't up to contract standards. Can confirm when I went a month or so ago, 6 projectors out, last half the ride no effects or guns working. Even the projector in the load station wasn't working. Should not have been operating under this condition. Was super poor.

No however, re painting the slides or rides does improve the quality of the attractions looks. A lot of WNW slides need some serious re painting to look bright and vibrant again. Constrictor was pretty bad in shape as is Tornado and Aqua Loops.

I don't think anyone said this was bad. They said Sea World gets funding as well for animal projects. VRTP also got funding in terms of a tourism grant as did Dreamworld. The fact is the government approved the relocation of funds. So issues should be taken up by the government. I wonder what @Richard's view is on this. I am not suggesting any issues with polar bear welfare, and I know Sea World does amazing work for animals. But if someone has a different opinion to simply suspend them seems like an abuse of power. This form legit is proof people have different opinions, lets still respect peoples opinions.

Arkham asylum replacement theming??

Post this new expansion project if it goes ahead. These IMO are the only real spots stye can use without serious investment in moving carmakers, studios, BOH etc. As outlined in Red I could see a flat ride happening here AKA original Doomsday proposal. Next could be large scale coaster behind the AA plot depending how far back the coasters go or some sort of large attraction. Would need to move Fright Night sheds. Green would be to utilise the LTRR building/rebuild LT area bar Roadrunner coaster. Blue area at the front could be another large coaster would be another 'carpark coaster' -
Well it reopens in 4 days and they have painted one six of the coaster? With no more maintenance periods scheduled this year? So I would say it might be true. Not saying its not stupid.

I questioned this and he responded saying if they closed it to repaint it would take 12 months to paint so it will be done section by section, which means when the final part is painted the start will be faded. If they got a professional roller coaster painting team in it could be done in a few months. Top thrill dragster got painted in 2 months same with Millenium Force.

2 Weeks ago I was at the park and was at Guest Services and the guy working mentioned the ride will take 6 years to paint and they will repaint a part of rivals every maintenance period over 6 years. In my opinion the track is so faded now I am not looking forward to seeing how bad the lift hill will be in 5 more years time.

Steel Taipan operating 4 hours on weekdays

Did you consider it might be related to Giant Drop closures? Large scale equipment being near ride envelope to do work on the ride? Such as Removing TOT track etc. -
Adventure World New Ride DA application - 2022
Tim Dasco replied to Tim Dasco's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Not true at all, you can easily utilise the existing conveyer all you need to do is widen the splash down pool. This won’t be a new water slide as something that big would have had earth works started by now. -
Adventure World has submitted a Development Application - Public Amusement - New Amusement Ride, Relocation of Existing Rides and Site works. Interesting to note it says relocation of Existing Rides and glad to see a New Amusement Ride is coming. Interesting to see what this becomes.

Well Lego own Merlin, so if Lego approve it I see no issue.
