Adventure World 2015 - 'Mi2' Kraken Tornado slide
Tim Dasco replied to Tim Dasco's topic in Theme Park Discussion
AW posted this on their Facebook page. They have referred to the quote "Kraken gets the worm". Anyone have any idea what this means? -
Seems like VRTP is addicted to spending money this year. Seems like with them spending so much cash this year it's going to be quite a long time before they start to see any profit. But it's going to be great for them to show of their new things come commonwealth games. i just hope if they do a water park they take a page out of AW's book and themes their water slides.

The WAtoday finally picked up the story about BR's removal and MI3 announcment. http://www.watoday.com.au/wa-news/adventure-world-to-get-new-75-million-ride-but-is-a-bounty-revival-coming-20160901-gr6bb6.html So it seems like it will be a ride that suits the same market that BR covered. Which is great news. -
No problems.

Keep in mind that bigger footers don't always mean tall coaster. It could mean that the soil is really soft and requires a bigger footer. IE when Mark told us for the to put a bowl element on the Kraken they would need 30 meter deep footings due to soft soil. -
When I say speed is coming to Perth I meant the Speed 2. So that won't be heading to Melbourne.

There is an 6flags thread that was made.

Perth Royal Show ride list has now come out and I am about to cry. We are losing 6 rides this year with NO new rides. Ride list: XXXL Wave swingers The Big ghost train Sky master Ferris Wheel Super Bowl Super Nova Star Flyer Splash down Speed Space Roller Sky Walker Sizzler Rage Ride Dodgems Orbitor Nitro Graviton Ghost Train Gee Whiz Flight Simulator 3D maze Cliff Hanger Chair Lift Big Slide 9D Cinema Missing from last year: (I gather these are all going to go to RMS this year) Seems PRS making a loss last year meant ride operators don't won't to come back. This is going to be a bad year for PRS considering we already are in a collapsed economy now the Mining booms over. Thunder Bolt Avenger ride Mega Drop Dark Ride Python Loop Ranger New rides None

Then film a TV show inside where the main character has no idea he is in a TV show and call it the Truman Show. And in case I don't see you good afternoon, good evening and good night! I am now hoping for the worlds shortest launch track length. -

I think these Mack parts are for top golf. The worlds first Mack built Hyper, Top Golf with RMC assisting. * If you can't tell that above is a joke. -

Just saw this on Mack's website how cool would this be. Its a Mack Twist 'N' Splash ride? Obviously it won't be MI3 as it won't launch riders to new heights. But this seems like a great fit for AW. http://www.mack-rides.com/en/products/spin-rides/twist-n-splash/sr-ts-picture-gallery/index.html -

I believed that Maximum impact never referred to size but to the quality of the ride. As Mark has said they are going to try and add at least one MI every 2 years. So it has nothing to do with thrills as that would mean AW will never get anything other than thrill rides. It has been hinted that MI3 will be a family ride to replace BR market. Abyss and Kraken brought maximum impact to AW by increasing capacity, immersion, and world class attractions. * But a lazy river is a massive ride. -

Would be funny if the park did this to mess with us. Or they are parts for SDSC. Hopfully this will be a none DC Comics themed ride. -

I wonder if that is the MI3 contract he is signing in the photo. -

Remember it is an up charge. You have to pay for it so there needs to be somewhere for people to pay and queue. -

I compeltly forgot about that. But a sky flyer should be cheaper than a wind seeker because it's smaller and not as tall. This is going to be very hard to determin what it is. -

A lazy river I believe would definitely be a maximum impact ride. It would soak up a massive amount of people and themed right could be a very great attraction. AW needs its future attractions to have large capacity. But in some countries have some really amazing lazy rivers. IE underwater world Singapore and Water boom park Bali. I am sure AW would take it beyond a lazy river and choose a good layout and theme perhaps with some water effects. Considering they already have a massive pool I wonder if it would be very costly to change it into a wave pool. plus a lot of people are asking for a lazy river on their Facebook page. -

From what I found it cost Cedar Fair $5Million for the first 4 and 6.5 million for the last 2 installation. From what I found this total seems to be including installation, shipping and building cost. (I am not 100% but I think thats what the website says). So maybe they negotiated a better price and maybe they won't be as tall as other additions in other countries. Also this was on AW's Facebook page. I think this might either be about BR incorporated in the Kraken theming or Fright Nights as it looks like the Fright Nights logo. (People are also saying on Facebook the Lagoon should be changed into a Wave Pool and a lazy river added. Hmm maybe that will be MI4.) -

By winder seeker I was including Star Flyers in that category as they are very similar rides.
