Adventure World 2015 - 'Mi2' Kraken Tornado slide
Tim Dasco replied to Tim Dasco's topic in Theme Park Discussion
So on their comment they mentioned a "Bigger and better ride for next season with more details coming soon." Hopefully this is good news that will stop the backlash of comments that are happening on AW's Facebook page at the moment about the ride being removed. @Mark Shaw are you able to tell us if the ride was removed due to its age or just being removed for future attractions and if it was for future attractions why was it removed now and not when construction started for a future ride? -

I did some research and I found on the Adelaide Royal Show website a list of their rides and TPA's is listed on that website called pirate ship and the picture shows a completely different ride. So I wonder what park might by it or if AW scraps it. Maybe that could be the reason it was leaving was it was having problems as a 30 year old attraction. (If it is sold SW should considered it.) -

But at the same time I am looking forward to MI3. It seems like the castle area and lake is now cleared and they have now removed BR. There is a massive plot of land there now. I am very certain MI3 will be in this area. They could fit a very big Flat ride, waterslide or Lazy river and still have room for more grass/picnic area like they wanted to do with the lake being removed. -

Its official. Confirmed by AW on their Facebook page. Hopefully this new attraction is great and fills the void that BR will leave. It was a great ride and I remember going on it 20 times in a row when I was a kid. It was a flat ride that the family and thrill seekers could enjoy. -

Its not a portable ride. So I doubt that its TPA's. -

I forgot that bricks in WA are cheaper than they are over East. As for us building a house out of timber costs more. Hence why all our houses are double brick outside walls and single brick walls inside. -

So that circle ring is coming. IMO I think it actual blends in with the ride and won't make it look bad like every said at the start. -

Wow!!! This is a great off seasons considering no major attractions are coming. I think when AW opens up for the season it will look great and I look forward to see all these improvements and still exited for MI3. ? Good job mark and team. -

But when you face someone else you end up get talking and make a new friend. -
I have been to Atlantis up near two rocks. Its great to see the impressive King Neptune statue there. I believe they spent money to clean it up and get the graffiti of it. My mum always tells me about stories about how she use to love that place as a kid. You can still walk and eat in the restaurant area that is pictured in the video. I also went to Dizzy Lamb park/castle invasion for some paint ball. Its also cool to see how they turned that old abandoned theme park into a paint ball arena.

I think that DW did this so we would start talking about DW instead of all of the amount of MW talk. (That was a joke not being serious) -
I just thought it would be better if those roof poles were placed behind the facades. Not right in front of the facades.

It seems really late in the off season to start building a new attraction. So it says that there will be theming on freefall and tunnel of terror. This seem to be quite a big off season considering MI2 was last year and MI3 next year. -
That is a great idea however they won't get as much of the GP to do 2 tours. The GP might fork out $300 for the tour. But if you want the GP to pay $600/person for some backstage tour it won't be likely. They should see the value in doing one tour as it can be marketed as a behind the scenes look and come behind the magic. But the GP would see no point in paying all that money again for a second tour. Unless the second tour was a movie studios tour. I.e. a set tour like they do at WBS in America.

I would have thought they would want to launch this world class roller coaster in time for the 2018 CWG. This is from April 4th- April 15 2018. So I thought we would see a early 2018 launch. So possible construction starting early 2017. -
Does anyone know if they changed/replaced the launch system?
