  1. That S-bend looks so <Robb Alvey Voice>twistyyyyyyy</Robb Alvey Voice> Every element they add gets better and better...
  2. My expectations for this coaster just tripled... so twistyyyyyy 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
  3. GL could also benefit from better, bigger boxes, instead of having to leave any bags on the platform next to the boxes.
  4. If MW want to increase the prices of their annual passes (by a fair bit), there is one thing they should definitely do. Include free (or discounted) lockers. Especially at MW (Dreamworld you can get by since they actually put boxes on pretty much all of their rides).
  5. Where did you get this from? Because it's so far away from the rest of the park, we aren't sure yet that what's been built is taller than Superman, which it might not be. And it's certainly not longer than any other coaster in the park, heck, Road Runner is probably still longer than it at the moment.
  6. Long shot here, but could that mean the park also has other plans now for perhaps a new attraction in that area?
  7. I'm really looking forward to this turnaround... just imagine... approaching the top of the element... beginning to float out of your seat... then whipped around and thrust back into your seat due to the high G-forces on the way back down.
  8. Remember when Sea World was landlocked and they had to reclaim land to put stuff in?
  9. @Mox By that logic they could build a blue coaster and call it the Flash. Harley Quinn I can see working.
  10. In addition to all the comments above this post... do you really believe MW's marketing team are capable of giving us hints? They've proven otherwise so far
  11. Completely agree Joz, the only reason why I won't be renewing is because MW are building an incredible coaster down the road and being a student I don't exactly have a lot of money to spend on annual passes to both parks. I've never come into a bad staff member at the park, in fact, since the accident I think I have come across multiple staff members that just want to talk to you and see how your day is going every single visit. MW on the other hand I have met friendly staff (almost all of which I met on the Star Tour, so it only half-counts), but I've also had my share of rude staff or staff that make it pretty obvious they don't want to be there over the years. Never at DW do I remember coming across a rude or unexcited staff member.
  12. @AllegroCrab If he was the guy who designed FVD then I would assume he does hold some sort of engineering degree or is just bloody smart... the mathematics behind forces is quite complex when you get into it (that said - I don't know how accurate this particular FVD tool is). I can see why he would be offered a job at Mack now, I thought he was just one of those everyday NL users who can make a great coaster - but this guy sounds like he knows a lot more than your garden variety NL user who doesn't know too much about the physics behind it all apart from what the G-force spline tells them. I take back what I said. I've greyed out on superman before (although that was after 6 or 7 rides in a row) and don't see it as a problem at all... just means the ride is forceful which I take to be a good thing.
  13. No, it's magenta, not red. 😉🙃😜
  14. Yep, I won't be renewing either. MW is where the action is at, so that's where I'll be. If DW want me back, give RMC a call.
  15. @Brad2912 I guess continuing the TI expansion competes with the polar bear cubs well enough. But yeah they probably are low on funds at the moment but if they continue to sit on them and do nothing they're not going to increase. I think they need to take a risk.
  16. Yeah, that Pirates looks absolutely breathtaking. Still can't work out how they do the effect at 2:36 of the video you posted, if anyone knows please enlighten me .
  17. The element currently being built will be very similar to Flash's turnaround (pretty much identical - just probably in reverse). It also does contain a stengnel dive.
  18. So for those who don't know, Space Mountain Mission 2 Hyperspace Mountain is coming close to the end of a massive refurbishment, which, ontop of the Star Wars treatment, includes these brand new much-needed sexy trains (same style as HWSW I believe). HWSW's trains are great, but these are certainly next-level detail! Very impressed with the level of effort Disney has put into this (of course, anything less would be complete un-Disney-like since everything they do is the highest quality you can get).
  19. Well if you'd like to grab some lunch in the middle of a construction site, go for it. Because this definitely looks open doesn't it:
  20. I think here's what needs to be fixed for our parks to be charging premium prices. Movie World has quality, but not the quantity needed to be charging premium prices. Add a few new rides and they can start charging higher prices (and they're well on-track for that). Dreamworld has quantity, but not quality in parts. They need to add new rides that will give them that quality. Something that'll rival MW's hypercoaster. Do that and they can start safely charging much higher prices for tickets since (with WWW included) they have a lot more than its competitors - just not the same quality at the moment. Sea World has quality for what they do have, but close to no quantity in terms of rides. Needs urgent fixing. WnW is pretty good for a water park, but you can only charge so much for a water park.
  21. Yes, but all the ones that you've listed are arguably better quality than our parks (apart from Movie Park, which is a lot cheaper in the first place, and it's definitely getting a lot better very fast).
  22. Our parks are very expensive for single day tickets compared to international parks. Annual passes on the other hand are quite cheap. At the state Sea World is in, I would say $60 adult tickets are what it should be charging. This could easily go up to around $75 if they put some effort in over the next few years to bring it back to how it was. WnW is probably worth $65-70, and MW $75. Dreamworld (with WWW) is worth $80-85. Annual passes for both chains should be $150-200 (although I'm fine with the prices they have now)
  23. I would never think I would be complaining about a public holiday... but here we are
  24. I wouldn't say they're doing work over the weekends just yet - it may just be on Saturdays. Construction workers have weird schedules . Some crews work on Saturdays (often in the morning only) and then might take another day of the week off (perhaps Monday or Friday afternoon). With Monday being a public holiday (why all the holidays now? ) we probably won't see any work until Tuesday now, but I could be wrong.
