  1. All the stats have been removed from the attractions page too. Once it’s open, I’d say they’ll all return, with the advertising that it has backwards seats and it’s height requirements
  2. It indeed wasn’t there when the attraction first opened
  3. The photo below is from Destination Dad n Daughter’s latest video: https://youtu.be/s3uZzGQt8Y0 Peeping over the construction fence, you can how much of a bottle neck this entrance to the new Atlantis is. The stairs might be required for fire escape from the tavern, but if they could, I’d be removing them. And I’d also remove that small garden to the left where one of the ninja turtles stands. It just feels like for an entrance into a new precinct and their flagship attraction it’s so tight that it doesnt allow for easy flow of people.
  4. This was my first visit to Sea World in about 4 months, so I was interested to see what else has happened throughout the park since my last visit. Firstly, they’ve finally removed some of the walls and trusses from the parks entrance. It’s a shame they haven’t all been removed, but it’s a start. And already it feels so much better and inviting. It’s a shame they couldn’t move this into the exit store and completely open up the entry once again. The Lakeside food outlets are undergoing a refurbishment The Dockside Tavern is closed for refurbishment. Most notably, there is heaps of work happening underneath, perhaps Atlantis related. Vortex is closed for maintenance and some of the panelling has been removed and it appeared they are doing so touch/patch up work too The Carousel remains dismantled and the reopening date has been removed Patricks and Ninja Flyer are closed. Is this mesh around the fence of the flyers new? And there hasn’t been any further works on the flume station site. But despite there being construction fencing, they’ve wrapped it in a black mesh, which makes it look ‘nicer’. But it makes me think it’s going to be there for a while.
  5. They’ve also updated the billboard and banners at the front and throughout the park. Interestingly all the banners just show leviathan and say rising soon, but there’s no mention of trident (despite it opening the same day). I would’ve thought they’d alternate the banners promoting both attractions
  6. Warner Bros World in Abu Dhabi have just announced that a Harry Potter themed land will be coming to the park. So far, that’s all I can find that’s been announced
  7. I love how perfect the shot of Leviathan is, I can finally understand the course of the track. It also gives a perspective of how close Patrick’s Jellyfish Frenzy is to the precinct. If the cost wasn’t an issue, I would relocate the attraction and create a much more grand entrance for Atlantis. Visiting the park today, the coaster really felt like it was on top of Nickelodeon land and the tavern.
  8. SW just shared this on their Instagram which gives our first look at the rockwork within the queue FullSizeRender.MOV
  9. With VRTP finally announcing an opening date, I thought it was time to renew my pass after not visiting the park for several months. Wow. The scale of everything is very impressive in person and it’s really coming together nicely. A few things to note before my massive photo dump below. The scaffolding is down for Trident and they are currently building a wall to hide those hideous services behind Vortex.
  10. That colour matches the one they showed in the concept artwork for the refurb and the new logo they have on the maps in the park.
  11. So we thinking a soft opening the week of the 28th, maybe even the weekend of the 26th too?
  12. I was guessing Dec 2 as the opening date as that’s the date vortex reopens from maintenance
  13. Tower of Terror 2? Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster: Next Generation (the next gen is the specifically bad part’
  14. Took this video the other day and the coaster is indeed, very loud. FullSizeRender.MOV
  15. I’m hoping the park has invested into Project Zero, to ensure they’ve rectified all the issues Dreamworld were having with the attraction.
  16. That’ll look great a night on the several dozen nights a year when the park is open. But the other 364.5 days that they’re open it might not look as good.
  17. They also have ice skating this year for $15 per person. Or $45 (2 adults and 2 children)
  18. Wet n Wild has the Surfrider behind their wave pool and I think it adds to the atmosphere. And having Project Zero behind a wave pool, which is such a large scale attraction for the park, it be an icon for the park and people around the wave pool will love watching people ride it.
  19. The coaster definitely looks great within the landscape and a perfection attraction to make this park really stand out as a must visit (image from the parks Instagram)
  20. Behind the scenes video of the statues being created has been shared by the park https://www.instagram.com/reel/Ckm9i8ij_ES/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
  21. These holes in the wall are new. Do people think they’re just openings to allow for air flow within the queue? Or something more? Are you thinking of how it looked in the original ad for the ride? I’m not sure if it ever did look like this?
  22. The detail and scale of these statues is very impressive and is a major jump in improvement from the first one we got for Vortex. And I do love each attraction got it’s own statue. However, I don’t like the parks logo on the statue as it takes away from the immersive nature that these statues bring. And I hope they keep them clean because seagulls are going to enjoy sitting on the statues.
  23. The difference is, that was a fact. Sea World’s is an opinion.
