  1. A not fully functioning ride and a coaster stuck. They are off to a real good start. They’ve spent all this money on attractions, but can they even operate them properly 🤔
  2. They should play a sound track of workers using tools, so it sounds like they are working on it
  3. Hence why Shockwave has been closed all year. It is a shame when all the rides except Gold Coaster are closed in an area of the park because it does make it feel like an entire area is closed. But you’re right, DD and GL at Movie World had maintenance delays due to the delay in parts arriving
  4. They’re back again this Summer. Unfortunately there are only a couple of somewhat good movies to watch https://wetnwild.com.au/attractions/dive-n-movies
  5. To transition from DW to WWW isn’t as simple as just walking over there and going on a couple water slides. You need to bring swimmers, get changed, slide, dry off, get changed again and go back to DW. Unless you go to DW in your swimmers! A theme park needs a water attraction. Every major park in the world that I can think of has a water ride. MW does. SW had 3 (Storm, Vikings and Battle Boats). DW had 2. And they were the most popular rides in the park.
  6. The wall lighting used to always be there, but a couple years ago they started removing it after the event period had finished
  7. My understanding was those rules are implemented when the state reaches 80% double vaccinated? So it could be after December 17.
  8. They’ve trimmed the hedge even more to reveal this element I’ve never seen before
  9. It won’t be long before they lay some concrete and add seating and shading because people are already sitting around waiting for the GD
  10. They can’t test ST while BuzzSaw is being removed due to their close proximity. And they have timed the removal of BS with the end of Mach initial testing. So while ST is sitting there waiting to receive operational approval (or whatever it is they require from the government), they are removing BS.
  11. Because the BuzzSaw is now being removed, I believe this means ST has completed its required testing from Mach. And they are now waiting on the government to sign off on the attraction. Then staff training can begin.
  12. Road runner has been removed from the maintenance listing
  13. WNW posted construction progress photos on their socials, but here are the most recent photos taken from the post
  14. The removal of TOT happened to allow for the new train route and the removal of BuzzSaw happened now so they didn’t need to setup fencing and close ST. I guess when an attraction isn’t set to be replaced for some time, then the park don’t see it worthwhile removing the old until necessary. I wish that wasn’t the case, but that’s unfortunately what happens. Bermuda Triangle sat there for two years untouched. Mach 5 sat for 3.5 years. The ridiculous SBNO was some of the old rides at DW, such as the mine ride and chairlift.
  15. The WWF store is good because of its external theming and blends into the ride so well. What they sell inside is the same as almost all the other stores. Every store should sell different items, otherwise what’s the point of all the different stores
  16. Exit shops have becoming a dying concept on the GC. With Scooby, WWF and GL being the only attractions left with them. Scooby’s is only open during peak periods and some weekends. I’d say the only one left that does well for sales is GLs because of its location
  17. Something to note is that the park are going to see how guests utilise areas and whether or not they need to add additional amenities. To my understanding, once BuzzSaw is removed, that area will remain closed off and the park are going to evaluate whether they need to construct a viewing area of the coaster. Which makes sense because why spend extra money on an area that people might not even use. If additional shading and seating is required over time it will be added. Same with the connection path under the track to the Giant drop. If they find a lot of guests stop to watch the coaster, then they’ll make better use of that space
