  1. So far today the train is just sitting on the track And here are a few more photos
  2. I think the horn sounded for Rivals because the coasters perimeter was so long, they needed to let anyone know within that area know it was testing. For ST all the track is visible from the station, so I don’t think it will be necessary
  3. Destination Dad and Daughter captured the track that used to lead to the maintenance building being removed Looks like the train won’t go this way at all anymore The colorbond has been installed, but interestingly there is a gap for the train track. Now I’m thinking that the Rocky hollow station will be changed to the storage/maintenance area. Otherwise it would’ve been removed when the log ride was being demolished?
  4. Obviously I understand why, but it is sad to look at that area of the park on the map and see how empty it looks compared to how it used to be Obviously a coaster doesn’t visually fill up a map as much as the river rapids did. Not sure if anyone else agrees/knows the point I’m getting at? Either way, I’m very excited for Steel Taipan and it looks like all the site work should be finished in the next couple weeks providing the weather is good. And then it should be non-stop testing. Destination Dad and Daughter shared this video too and here are a couple screenshots of things not mentioned yet Themed fencing installed down exit ramp And this roof to the left is for the photo viewing
  5. They’ve updated the concept artwork on the website. And confirming that those slide pieces installed are for Kaboom. And the platform above them is the max height for double barrel and super ripper.
  6. Those entry scales are looking pretty cool. Interesting that they’re installing a structure to hide first aid entrance. Makes sense I guess to introduce the theme. Great to see they are painting that block wall a colour that should help make it ‘vanish’. I just hope they add a decent amount of plants
  7. Very true. But I’ve learnt to not always trust what people tell you and to look into that information first, rather than taking it as fact and sharing with everyone.
  8. Hence why I went and did the research to back up his comment because I knew what he was saying was true.
  9. Encounters, new exhibit and cafe coming soon
  10. Paradise Country are also holding a spring event with baby farm animals https://paradisecountry.com.au/events/spring-on-the-farm
  11. If this area turns out like the concept art, I’d argue that this is the best expansion the park has ever done. H20 zone was great at the time, but other than rides, it didn’t really other anything else to that area. This expansion offers something for everyone, shade, new bathrooms and potentially even new food outlets
  12. There might be something within the councils website, but Slick worked at the park and got insight into a lot of information like this EDIT I couldn’t help myself and I did some research through the councils website The river is classified as general priority vegetation. To my understanding, that means that it can’t be removed and must be sustained, but through council applications, some works can occur providing they don’t have major impact on the area. Because the Ferris wheel didn’t necessarily take away any land from the river, but rather sits over it, that’s why it was approved.
  13. The installation of H2Oasis will begin this month
  14. Wasn’t that a redevelopment of the paddle wheel station/loading platform?
  15. Here’s the time stamp for when I took the photos from my last update, just in case you had doubts
  16. This time the source was myself, drove past this morning. 📸 you know it How’d you figure out my secret
  17. The tower has almost doubled in height since my last photos
  18. Well they had to use all of the colorbond they used to hide river rapids and the log ride somewhere The website still says slides 2 and 3 are temporarily closed. I’d like to think they will be reopen with the park after being closed for some time last summer/early this year
  19. Events like these (and everything else the park) has been doing is great for the park. For years we have been saying the park was lacking events, but over the last couple years they’ve really started to pull through with them. This year we’ve had one every school holidays and this small event too. Well done to them for lifting their game
  20. It was just an ad for the new attraction that came up on Instagram. Here are some screenshots of what is shown (nothing major, just some new angles/renders)
