Looking awesome, a greatly needed attraction that I’m sure will be very popular for everyone who visits the park. Well done DW for the investment. While the park does need another tower or two of slides, they’ve now pretty much got something that covers all basis. Hopefully we will see it open before the school holidays begin

If this is a success, I predict we will see a Mexican food outlet come to the park. Good to see the park and trailing/offering new things like this

Wow I didn’t realise that either

Now I know this has been on the park map for quite a while now, but I’ve never actually taken notice of what it says/is So kids (or smaller adults) can receive one of these bands at the start of their day, so it tells the operator how tall they are so they don’t have to be measured every single time they want to go on a ride. Has anyone ever seen this or asked about it?

MW have so many opportunities for character dining too or more themed sit down meal areas. They had an opportunity to do this within the villains area, but unfortunately didn’t. I would love to see a western themed sit down option. Yes they’ve got the burgers, but a 30 second walk and there’s another burger place

I saw maintenance working on the SuperTubes HydroCoaster today, with them walking on/around the first drop and first uphill

This time last year we saw posts of (it I remember correctly, from these guys) about testing out a night time event at WWW in and around the wave pool. Maybe that post is referring to that happening this Summer

In that case I would imagine there would be one at the top and one at the bottom, like the river rapids at WnW

Okay, I get you now. Basically as long as if there is some form of queue organisation, it should work smoothly (in theory). Anything will be better than the lack of organisation the Jetstreams (Mach 5) used to have. Do we think that there will be some form of gate to stop people going or it will most likely be the red/green light system like slides at WNW have had in the past?

I hope this too, but I don’t think the top platform will be big enough for that many switchbacks. But maybe they will split the stairs in half, three slides one side, three the other with signage at the bottom saying what side is what and at the top they will have very small queue areas for each slide

Also, it looks like theming and posts for the shaded area are being stored within the trolls area

I really can’t wait for this blue one to be painted, it was definitely there to be the worst in the park

Awesome update and it’s so great to see so much happening across the park. And it’s great to see they are going the extra mile with the personalised A frame

Nearmap update from early October. Gives a good idea how it fits in with existing buildings, etc I’m interested to see where they place the queue/how it will be managed. Will they have a queue at the bottom and just let so many people up the tower at once, or will they split the stairs into different queues depending on what slide you want to go on. Accessing the stairs does look a bit tight too, so I wonder if they will get rid of those shaded areas to the right

The website now just says coming soon (I’m pretty sure it said coming this summer a couple weeks ago)

It’s amazing how bad these slides got and how amazing they look now

Yeah that’s because of the painting of the slides which only happens on weekdays, at least the park are still opening it on the weekends

Because it’s got the reputation of being one of the parks best rides

2020 should be a great and very transformative year for this park

I much prefer TOT over Turbo Track. It’s fun, but nothing exciting. It’s top speed is around 10km/h. The airtime and the spiral going up are nice elements, but if you don’t get to ride, it’s nothing major.

Someone asked the park on FB and they said at this stage there is no close date

When they begin removing the track up the tower, I would assume that the GD would need to close. When they do this I would if they will take that as an opportunity to repaint the tower and remove the TOT writing, or if they will leave it for people to remember it by.

Rip and Bro are now scheduled to reopen tomorrow and the closure of Little Rippers and temple of Huey was delayed until those slides reopen
