  1. I wonder how it will fair compared to Dreamworld's halloween event in the future. Considering Dreamworld's is probably better value, more to do etc.
  2. Took me about 4 reads to understand exactly what is going on there, but i made it. While Sky Voyager is certainly a fantastic and well needed attraction for the park, there’s no denying that coasters draw in the crowds. That being said, i do think Sky Voyager was the correct investment at the time, and now that they’re stepping forward with Steel Taipan, that’s the big coaster which will draw in the crowds. Here’s hoping to a much brighter future - it’s certainly starting to look that way 🤞🏻
  3. All signs point to yes. Maintenance is continuing in the park, and as someone mentioned a few days ago in a different thread, staff have been given a tentative opening date of September 18th.
  4. Thought you'd ask. I noticed some of the trees proposed for removal are in front of the ice cream parlour. I think it'll look incredibly bland if they're removed - they add a bit of character to the space.
  5. The billabong station is to the left of the train, whereas at all other stations it is to the right. I would assume you could use both sides.
  6. I've gotta agree, it is incredibly loud. Maybe your hearing isn't too good? Hence why it's not loud for you? 😜
  7. Aren't parks also open to every other state except Victoria?
  8. Wet n Wild is closed today due to 'Severe Weather'
  9. I get the Giga Splash, Hot Racer and the Vertical LSM models, however the Ultra Splash is just a complete rip-off of Mack's PowerSplash. There is not any attempt at all to make it stand out, apart from the single rail concept (which is pretty pointless in a ride like this). Pretty lazy.
  10. Do we actually know it's not going to be built though? It seems everyone is simply guessing.
  11. That's actually quite hilarious. What are the restrictions for things like this? Is there an exemption for these staff members?
  12. They are re-opening 15th of July, yeah? Only Constrictor and Aqua Racers will be open (in terms of slides). Yes, it’s winter, yes there won’t be many guests, so why bother opening at all? At this stage, there is no competition in the winter months between WnW and WWW (and we all know who the clear winner there is).
  13. What a complete joke. I thought Movieworld was bad, but there will literally only be 2 slides open when you exclude the kids area. It begs the question, why even bother opening WnW?
  14. Maybe they’ve fixed things up after the opening on Friday. There was definitely no sanitiser or cleaning of the rides after each cycle. Good to know they’ve pulled it together.
  15. Not from my experience, they definitely weren’t. They stopped the ride after about 15 minutes and sanitised, but it certainly wasn’t after each cycle.
  16. Also went for a visit today. Arrived at about 1:45, and there was no queue to get inside. I can confirm there are no hand sanitising stations at the end of rides, which is very surprising. Storm coaster can actually have a maximum of 6 riders, depending on the group sizes. On my ride, 5 of us were fit on, with a group of 4 in the front, and myself in the back row. Vortex is certainly interesting. It will be interesting to see what the area looks like once it has become overgrown with the greenery around it, but for now, I do think it looks very cheap and tacky. Time will tell. Also, it seems like Jet Rescue is getting a re-paint. I'm not very knowledgeable on how the painting of a ride works, but i'm going to assume the paint in which is being put on the coaster now, is not going to be the final colour.
  17. So, very little rides, no decent shows, no parade, no meet and greets.. What’s the point in going?
  18. Just wait until the 20th of July, when Doomsday, Superman, WWF, GL and AA are closed. What a boring day that would be.. 🙄
  19. I must admit I am a little confused with the maintenance schedule's for the VRTP parks. Is it showing that regular maintenance wasn't carried out during the lockdown, or is it cost-cutting due to the expected lower attendance (or both)?
