  1. Currently, Superman, DC, Green Lanteen and JL are all closed, Scooby only opened around an hour ago too.
  2. Can confirm the train is still sitting there as of this morning. I don’t know why they don’t just take this train off of the tracks and run with the other train (assuming it’s fully assembled) until this one is reassembled and ready for operations. It’s better then having even more rides closed then you should.
  3. I get what you’re saying but it’s still not Dreamworld’s fault if it happened to anyone else’s kids or worse. There has been signage to not climb since it came out to the public for the parks anniversary, it’s your responsibility as a parent to make a decision if you want your kid to undergo the risk or not of not listening to the sign, if you choose to ignore the signs and something happens that’s on you not the park.
  4. very low possibility but thought i’d throw it in as it has happened before, never got to do a maze in a sound stage (Excluding Conjuring 2, HOK) and would love to try one
  5. My guesses for maze locations this year are Doll Haus / Zombieland same shed again, Death Row in Leatherface / HOK shed, IT same Location and Conjuring in a movie studio or one of the new buildings being built. When should the map for this year be released? I thought in previous years it was released once the mazes were all announced.
  6. They did it last year, it’s a kids maze in the old Kevin Hill Zombie maze.
  7. really puts into perspective how expensive Fright Nights is this year… $99 alone is the ticket price to get in the last couple nights
  8. There’s markers around the ride which lead into the queue + bushes ect being removed so the general idea is queue relocation. It’s rumoured the queue will have a couple switchbacks in the top part of the envelope near the station, pass under the break run / potential camelback and either wrap back around going behind the top hat or towards the final turn into the station.
  9. I think all they’ll do is add LSM’s and a camel back after the drop as well as new trains + queue relocation. LSM’s are more precise and reliable then a Hydraulic Launch which alone would make the ride twice as reliable (intamin LSM’s launch’s look intense so won’t be that much of a take away) Allegedly, TTD use to get stuck a lot during the last portion of the ride with the breaks being on straight track (hence why Stealth, Red Force, Kingda Ka ect, have a hill to let the ride slide through the breaks) so adding a camel back adds an element + removes the possibility of that happening, therefor creating an even more reliable ride and new trains obviously due to them needing new trains to line up properly with the LSM’s ect. It may not seem like a lot, but in reality it is and should make the ride a lot more reliable compared to its current state. Also by moving the queue line out of the rides envelope, it frees room for a flat ride or two which makes sense due to the park being landlocked.
  10. for a park that’s landlocked, i don’t think they’ll remove Gemini to extend the layout of an already unreliable ride, instead of removing Gemini to replace with a whole new coaster.
  11. i never said compensate, i said the tickets should be discounted for what the current ride offering is.
  12. Doomsday too. If tickets aren’t discounted i feel so bad for the guests visiting today
  13. hopefully they can sort all of these ride closures out within the next two weeks, if they all still remain closed in the holidays that’ll be embarrassing…
  14. Sledgehammer is a Zamperla, SF360 is im pretty sure a Technical Park Typhoon 360 model. If they were to replace Doomsday with anything it should be the original attraction they are planning tbh🤷‍♀️
  15. all 5 and Superman’s also having some issues yesterday and early today by the sounds of it… Doomsday and Batwing may be carrying the line up for a bit🤷‍♀️
  16. if true, looks like Superman (if open), Scooby, Doomsday and Batwing will be covering the park for the time being… what a shame
  17. All 3 of the rides are closed currently until the 17th so that could be the case, Double Barrell has been closed for probably 6 months at this point, so who knows if that’ll actually open. On another note, SurfRider and SkyCoaster do have Currently Closed listed on their respected pages.
  18. It may be 8 riders added per cycle but since the giant discoveries take longer to load and dispatch compared to intamin’s versions (like the claw) and it already taking about twice as long to reach full swing, resulting in a much longer and repetitive ride cycle, it’s not like you’ll notice the 20% difference. plus MovieWorld already has imo the worst operations on the coast, so the long loading times would take even longer, dumbest decision they could make.
  19. so now DCR, GL, WWF and JL are all closed with Superman supposedly having some issues… what a bad time to visit
  20. It’s forceful, yet graceful and a very fun ride, if it was at Movie World it would probably be top 5 and Sea World just behind Jet Rescue, so i don’t think it says that much about Dreamworld‘s line up tbh. Zamperla’s Giant Discoveries have very uncomfortable restraints and take a lot longer to reach full swing when compared to The Claw, it would be a very dumb move.
  21. when did you visit the park? i was there until around 2 and from what i saw it was operational. I will say both rides have differing better qualities and it just comes down to what you prefer, inversions or airtime.
  22. The Claw is imo the top 3 in the park, panda makes me feel sick and uncomfortable with tailspin being calm and relaxing (no spinning) Then compared to the other flats on the coast, it beats out Doomsday and Vortex easily. I think one more flat (to balance out the collection), more family rides and 2 coasters 1 airtime stand out is all the park needs for the time being.
  23. 5th and final maze announcement: The Conjuring Universe Maze. https://frightnights.com.au/mazes/conjuring
  24. The current reliability with Steel Curtain over at Kennywood would also be something the park would look at. Im unsure but i’m pretty sure Maxx Force as SFGAM is also suffering from some issues
