  1. idk if news articles kept bringing up my traumatic experience from 8 years ago in order to get a couple dollars i wouldn’t be very happy.
  2. from what i’ve heard they are recognised and treated very well, makes sense why all the staff seem like they actually want to be there.
  3. i wouldn’t be suprised if the counterweights caused a lot of the issues, i think the ride getting new counterweights is more likely then it being removed right now due to all the hate they’ve been getting about ride availability. if this is what’s happening, maybe it’ll solve a lot of the rides issues.
  4. AA closed in 2019, was demolished in 2022 and Groundwork for the coasters started over a year ago. abc kids world closed 5 months ago and groundwork for the coasters is nearly done, with all of the theming being assembled off site. i dont think its really comparable.
  5. both sides of Kansas Twisters spikes have been put into place. the only thing left now is the lift hills. (the_themepark_social_network)
  6. i really thought they were just going to reuse the old trains with a new wrap on them but maybe we will be getting new lapbar trains after all.
  7. Green Lantern was operational for around 30mins at park open before shutting and Rivals opened around 12-1 same with Green Lantern reopening. i really hope Scooby, WoO and Flash (even though it’ll close the same time as Superman and Batwing) make a good improvement on the parks operations, 5 rides open isn’t good enough. let’s just hope both WoO coasters don’t close at the same time for maintenance.
  8. Green Lantern and Rivals have both been closed today so far. currently the only attractions open are WWF, JL, Carousel, Taxis, and the rail road.
  9. i’m sorry but i just find it insane a brand new little kids drop tower needs over 2 months of maintenance. the problem with Movie World is, what else is there to do besides rides? yes, Dreamworld has 5 rides closing for 2 months+ (half for good reason) but they have much more to do then just the rides, they also plan the maintenance out so major rides aren’t offline at the same time. i don’t really think it’s comparable especially when you look at the ticket prices.
  10. Batwing and Superman always close around the same time every year for 2 months. normally early feb to early april. Doomsday is also always around this time too along with JDS but Doomsday remains closed until whenever it wants to.
  11. Serpent Slayer is closed for what i guess is they are waiting on a part (it reopened only able to operate in mild mode.) the claw is 20 years old this year, don’t rides need extra work done every 10 years? 5 rides ≠ every attraction in the park. i’m not sure why Motorcoaster, Shockwave and Kenny’s are needing the extra maintenance though.
  12. i’ve heard it will be used in some capacity during Fright Nights, so if that’s true i won’t be shocked if it does close sometime soon.
  13. looks like all that is left to do is actually getting the train onto the track and testing the ride. (movieworldaus instagram)
  14. Doomsday’s maintenance schedule now has no reopening date and just says “From 5 Feb 2024.” this is what they did to Arkham before silently closing it, maybe they finally decided to pull the plug on Doomsday.
  15. i really just can’t believe they’re adding a boh facility in prime Atlantis expansion real estate.
  16. Green Lantern is also currently down and has been for a bit from what i’ve heard. let’s hope Wild West doesn’t close by the end of the day.
  17. DC was closed all yesterday and is now listed under “unscheduled maintenance”, the only rides the park has to offer is Green Lantern, Wild West (both unreliable) and the kids rides, but they’re still charging $100+ for single day entry.
  18. it tells you where the train is, it says where they are boarding in those photos because i’m guessing they’re hoping on/off the train and took a photo.
  19. Greg should definitely stay at Dreamworld, he ran Movieworld well but they couldn’t keep it up once he left. Dreamworld is definitely the best park on the coast now, Rivertown and their future plans are just going to maintain their position.
  20. it seems like the green wrap may have been thrown out, Batwing and Superman don’t have it around them either. with the Flash construction fence now out the front as well it all definitely looks unique right now.
  21. as of my most recent visit, Leviathan no longer waits until the preshow is done to dispatch, the preshow now just plays as the train is boarding, making the queue move a lot faster, so i doubt this ride will wait for the preshow to finish.
  22. and? they still took how long to open a singular pathway + look at how long it’s taking for Flash. im doubtful for those said reason and the fact they still have a long way to go but i hope they do make the deadline of end of 2024.
  23. considering it took sea world months to open a pathway, i am doubtful it will open by end of 2024, but i hope they can meet the deadline this time. the area does look like it’ll be great for the park and will compliment the lineup perfectly, however i do think Jungle Rush may outshine both coasters. only time will tell though, it’s exciting both parks competing again.
