  1. They should give it the Aqua Racer treatment and replace the slides so they look new, it’s probably the biggest eye sore across the village properties which says something
  2. after googling it, looks familiar but have no idea honestly didn’t even think of it being not suitable for a ride building until you said that and i do hope they open it back up eventually, was kinda just one of those “in my perfect world” type scenarios.
  3. i’d assume sally, but if it really is a “last minute” thing due to breach of contract agreements, i suspect it’ll be closed for a while.
  4. I’m just under 18 and the IP’s you guys mentioned i have never even heard about so probably not the smartest decision for a kids area retheme. Lego would make the most sense and it’s timeless, it wouod make the lego store out the front make a little bit more sense. I’d also love if they retrofitted the billabong building for some type of dark ride or indoor roller coaster, it would suit the park amazingly. I’d also love if they moved the entrance to the area up past the MC entrance so that ride can fit into an area properly with a not so random theme, knocking down the old buildings across from the rides entrance to make way for more new kids rides would also be a smart decision. Let’s just hope something happens soon as all the other areas of the park have been getting refreshed and it’s definitely making this area of the park look extra run down.
  5. i honestly wouldn’t be surprised. They haven’t done anything to try and fix the ride then it just randomly closes for refurb, which is normally pre-planned and shown on the maintenance page, but this just closed one day unexpectedly.
  6. emphasis on Aqua Loop, that thing looks horrible.
  7. Here is a quick update regarding both Trident and Leviathan (photo credits: https://youtu.be/GsQLqZBD43c.) - Trident has had all of its seats installed onto the gondola. - Panels around and inside of Leviathans entrance are starting to go up. - Rock work is also starting to be installed within the queue line which is hopefully a good sign for decent theming / landscaping. even though the September opening has now been moved, i think with how fast they seem to be working it’s a great sign it’ll be open by Boxing Day (fingers crossed🤞🏼.)
  8. is there a chance you can upload the actual article and what this means? this is kinda just stating a whole lot of nothing
  9. I think the tower does look nice and i’m glad they did actually add the trident on top of it but, i did think it would be a bit more bigger and “dramatic.” here’s what the area now looks like with the rides completed; Credit: @jaggsjourneysau - instagram. I can’t wait till we get our first off ride glimpse of Leviathan running though, hopefully day time testing starts soon🤞🏼
  10. Movie World has now released its 2nd maintenance blog with Wild West Falls, won’t be surprised if Green Lantern is next but this blog does provide an interesting look into the behind the scenes of the attraction. https://themeparks.com.au/blog/wild-west-falls-maintenance
  11. I personally think (unless done right) the rides have too many similarities to be placed in the same park.
  12. This would work very well for Movie World potentially as a Justice League Replacement, but i think with Sky Voyager already at the park it may not work as well.
  13. The park was surprisingly busy so with the loading area full the line still was stretching down past where the beginning of the switchback part of the queue line (30mins all day) with one train running. Normally they have 2 trains (at-least from my experience) whenever it’s busy so i’m guessing there may actually be a problem with the spinning seat, dispatches were around say 1-2mins from when the gates opened to let the next batch of guests in.
  14. all guests were doing it even when at main street when there was no announcement for it, they only mentioned it at the Native Animals station🤷‍♀️
  15. I haven’t had the chance to ride ST since around February but just wanted to come note some things as they appear to have been different; - The Operator now counts you down to launch instead of when you dispatch which does add a new little touch which can be exciting. - The ride is so smooth which after riding DCR you forget how smooth the ride actually is. - I don’t know if this is true but it feels like they’ve sped up the acceleration or speed of the launches? They all felt a bit faster and more intense, the train went quite a bit higher during the first launch sequence then i remember. - I’m very happy and surprised at how well they’ve been able to maintain the rides dispatches, rapidly fast with only 2 staff (excluding op) in the station, the 3 train wait system in the station helps a lot. - The MCBR is a lot more noticeable now, doesn't take away from the pace of the 2nd half though. This ride was definitely a great investment for the park and one of (or is) the best rides in Australia. I cant wait to see which ride ends up being better, Leviathan or ST.
  16. I rode the Train today and the new carriages are definitely comfortable but if there’s a lot of people in one i could see them getting a bit squishy but besides that i think they’re good and the train is nicely presented. As for the whole “banging your head” thing, the staff member was telling guests to watch out for that while boarding but i (6ft) think it’s pretty noticeable if you need to duck down or not, if you aren’t paying attention i can see why but besides that i think it’s pretty much just common sense🤷‍♀️
  17. I meant when the train was fully park in the load station, I didn’t think anyone would think that i was including the train moving from the unload to load stations.
  18. Didn’t the ride originally open with 6 car operations? I wonder if this is what they actually meant as in increase capacity. Upgraded sensors to increase 6 car operation efficiency would be the only other thing i could think of.
  19. here’s some overview photos of Leviathan from what i’m assuming is the top of trident (makes me wish they went with the original 60m model) and looks like leviathan won’t be the first wooden coaster to feature seperate backwards seats anymore;
  20. The construction fences in the car park make a lot more sense now. I don’t think a set of stairs will actually help either queue times or riders per hours, probably just being said to make guests less mad it’s closed.
  21. You don’t have anything to actually time it but it was definitely A LOT faster then normal and felt like it was around 1min per dispatch. normally i don’t eat in park but i don’t remember it being as bad as it was yesterday which is why i noted it down as noticeable. also about the trees thanks guys for clearing that up cause to me just seeing it made no actual sense
  22. i will never understand why as it just looks unappealing and gets rid of the shade the trees provided
  23. i agree 4mins isn’t bad but when it got to 7mins it was absurd. They definitely didn’t as crowd control wasn’t a thing, everything had a wait between 30-90mins for the majority of the time. forgot to add but they’ve trimmed the trees outside of Batwing and Justice League and let’s just say, it looks very interesting.
  24. Some things to note from today: - DCR’s operations seem to be getting even worse with it dispatching every 4-7mins. The queue ended up getting to 90mins. - Superman's operations were surprisingly fast with them taking around 1min to dispatch. - (don’t know if this was already in place) but the exhibition is open from 11-4 however the only thing letting guests know is a sign out the front of the exhibit so guests that went there got sent back as WWF is also closed. - i haven’t noticed this until now but the food quality is very poor especially for the price. - the kids WB stage’s speakers are loud enough to bring a lot of life back into the area and surprisingly isn’t that bad of an eyesore compared to photos (however it could’ve been done better.)
  25. Wild West seems to be having some issues as of late as it has been closed for atleast the past 2 days however there’s nothing noting it being closed out the front or on the maintenance schedule. Superman also seems to be having some issues as it was closed for most of the morning and like normal the water effect is still off and the misters are barely working (or just low water pressure being used so not too noticeable off ride.)
