  1. ^ It is most definitely in the ex. LTRR building.
  2. I believe we'll see more nights added when ticket purchasing opens up also. Maybe they are also opening bookings early in order to see what the popularity of the event will be this year. It gives them more time in advanced to plan additional nights rather than a couple of days before hand.
  3. On the VIP pass page: "With the awesome new Storm Coaster coming to Sea World and Mini Cars Driving School cruising into Movie World this September, it’ll be the best year of fun yet."
  4. Up to 14 months - to the 30th of June 2014. $99.99. Buy 3 get 1 free. Renewals $99.99 with free gold. $109.99 for Gold without renewal. Discuss. EDIT: Also should note that Fright Night & White Christmas Bookings are now available to such Gold Pass Holders.
  5. Ok, but DW only offer ride lockers open to everyone. Look at Wipeout, 40 people walk out at a time. It would be so easy for someone to grab some else's items. So, would you pay $10 for a full-day locker? If yes, then why don't you just do the same at Movie World? I thought the debate was about being forced to buy a locker. If you're not forced to buy a locker, then what's the issue? You pay money to have the security of your items. If you don't mind risking it, then you don't need one. I see it a bit like insurance in a way.
  6. ^He's not going to see your post anyways. I think soon he'll just be visiting a forum where no posts come up.
  7. There are two stores at WnW that do locker wristbands and also two sections of lockers that are coin operated. Also, only one ride at MW now requires the purchasing of a locker, Superman.
  8. So... About that ride. Does anyone know if any construction/parts is/are visible from outside the building?
  9. ^ I wish I was as cool of a person as you. Ermagherd. Forum mods must be so scared, you're like the Anonymous... except not anonymous.
  10. I'm sure they're missing 30% of their attendees right about now.
  11. Signage was back up today. They will be sold from Tuesday onwards.
  12. ^I believe we've discussed that Fast Track stopped after the busy holiday period. Anyways, let's see if it's back for Easter! Doubt it as all signage has been removed from front gate advertising it, but then again it did sell out instantly every day, perhaps signage isn't required.
  13. Ermagherd, there's a topic about things we miss, let me just list everything that has ever been removed from the parks. NO. I do not miss the Stingray. I do not miss Batman the Ride 2. Just because something is gone, we don't have to miss it, yet some people feel the need to list most things that are no longer there. For what? To point out how our parks are 'Not what they used to be... so sad... let me repeat this in every topic'. Let me ask you, Gary... What do you miss about Stingray? Or did you just list it because you want to have something to pick at for another removal of a ride. I understand complaining/reminising about the removal of a substantial ride, but did you ride it every time you went to Dreamworld? I doubt no, but if you did, then I sincerely apologize. Sorry if I come on too harshly. Just it's really annoying me how some people pick at everything and say they miss everything. Guess I'll be blocked by a few soon.
  14. New show at the Wanner Bros Movie World Show Stage? Wanner Bros Movie World Show Stage? Wanner Bros Wanner
  15. Ardent: We have poor results due to the weather. Village: We have good results despite the weather.
  16. Hang on, I want to 'add' to the rumor (this is legitimate, please do not take this as a sarcastic post). My source? Good friend is the wife of an engineer over at Dreamworld. Apparently there have been murmurs of new ride(s) over there and that they recognize they need a "Kick-Ass Roller Coaster" (as it was described to me). At least they recognize their faults.
  17. ^That wouldn't be happening/opening this year because nothing has been mentioned in the ASX report. And naturally we're all going to ask about your source...
  18. Talking about things flying out of Scooby... Sometime last year (or the year before, cannot remember), a guest lost her (VERY) very expensive engagement ring on Scooby and they had to close the ride to search for it. That would've consumed some time.
  19. I feel $74.99 for one day to MW/SW would be a good price. $20 and $45 are just ridiculous prices. You expect the parks to go back to 1995 pricing in the year 2013? In regards to VIP pricing 'staying the same', whilst Locals still can get it at the same price of $89.99 at the gate, non-locals are charged higher-than-original at $119.99.
  20. ^Super passes are still available. 3 Parks, 28 Days, Boca Ticket (one-day style tickets) with a small sticker-style black & white photo on the back (dymo labels).
  21. Can I get everyone to look back at '09 (or maybe '08? Not sure) when the VIP passes were first implemented. Blockout dates through the busy summer period lead to angry guests which lead to the blockout dates eventually being dropped because guests were unaware of them.
  22. A major factor of the new 'pass style' is (apart from, of course, the cost) is the speed. Imagine 7, 000+ passes being made up at the entry points a day when the passes release. Now try either a) plastic cards that take a minute or two per pass to take a photo and print or these passes that can be made up in less than 20 seconds, photo, explanation and all. The attachment to the pass (the a5 paper sheet) also has information for the pass holders, reducing the explanation time (of course this could just be replaced with a piece of paper). As for the $300 pass... The discovery pass I believe is a good substitute for this sort of pass. Sure, it's not a hard card, but it's $150 for a year (works out to $300 for two years), unlimited entry, free Fright Night + White Christmas, upgrades in park and discounts within and at the resort (and AOS). However, $300 for 2 years wouldn't be a bad idea with the benefits you've suggested. It would 'lock a contract' between the guest and the parks for a longer period of time - parks get the money in advanced, guests get the benefit of discounts and knowing their price can't go up until the pass is expired and they need a new one. hahaha, yeah. Try explaining to thousands of 'VIP' pass holders why they have to line up in the longer line when their pass says "VIP". The drama and hassle it causes consumes so much staff time and sometimes ends in arguments and havoc.
  23. ^ Was open today, and very quiet as to be expected (Although out of the few hundred who did show up, three quarters of them didn't want to get wet by the rain, go figure). The 'left' side of the park (Aqualoop, Aqua 8 Racer, Constrictor and Whitewater Mountain) did not open all day, Calypso opened at 12 and the right side of the park operated as per normal with some rotations between rides sharing the same tower (mainly Mach 5).
  24. For those wondering, Fast Track has been running for the majority of summer. $20 per head and it allows one ride on Black Hole, Tornado, Aqualoop, Kamikaze and Constrictor.
