  1. I think the point is; everyone knows that it's Arkham Asylum. Why's everyone bickering over the name of the ride?? When you're walking through the park, do you say to your friend/family member/whoever "Let's go ride Arkham Asylum Shock Therapy" or "Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster"? No, you just say Arkham. Or Scooby.
  2. I would probably not mention the employee that you spoke to, because you can get them in trouble. Probably edit out their name and where they were working.
  3. Movie World need to convince Kumbak to set up a referral program. Hahaha.
  4. I think it is a really well themed ride. And unlike others on this forum, I like the courtyard. I think the 'emptiness' feel it has really suits the asylum theme. Maybe that's just me. I think they could put themed shops/food outlets in there, but that would draw away from the emptiness feel. Perhaps they could do like an 'asylum cafeteria' or prison cafeteria style food outlet.
  5. But he can compare them in this situation. Whilst MW is smaller, it's still '3 staff per ride'. Disneyland is bigger, so it has more rides which need more staff to attend to. MW is smaller, but has less rides, so less staff. I hope you realize that a bigger park doesn't have the same running costs as a small park.
  6. Check at myfuncareers.com.au, they advertise there when they have spots. Some of the characters aren't actually in the suits, so they are usually required to look somewhat like the character they are trying to portray. Also, I'm pretty sure dancing is a thing held highly when applying -- so that you're not limited to just being a character at any time and can also be in some shows, etc.
  7. See, I think, and I'm sure many others on here do also, that there's not necessarily a problem with many DC rides. Most of the general public probably don't even recognise that they're all DC, and many won't even worry about the theming too much, just want to ride it. DC can also be flexible to different ages, and hopefully this more 'mature' Arkham theme will be pulled off well. I don't think there's anything wrong with having heaps of DC rides.
  8. Yeah, didn't reformat, still have Windows.old folder, but there's no documents in the documents folder. :\ Oh wells, I'm over it now. Have to focus on school anyways.
  9. It wasn't Windows. It was the game. My fault. I reinstalled the game without first saving my old files.
  10. Yes, yes, I made a back up on an external hard drive, but I only backed up important stuff - my essays, one note files, etc. I honestly don't know why, but yeah. Stupid mistake. Oh well, goneskies now. Didn't really have time to work on it anyway. Need to focus on study.
  11. Went up the Windows 8. All went fine. Reinstall RCT3, lose parks as it creates a new RCT3 file in documents. And Auto Recover won't bring it back. So, in all my spare time (none), I'll work on just a single ride and try to make it as good as possible. EDIT: Is there a way to lock this thread??
  12. Rode it the other day, it all seems to be going, except for the laser after being spun back around to go forwards again. The smoke machines are all working too.
  13. If you don't know why, it's because the studios make money. And why shut multiple studios to build a path to Wet'n'Wild. Why not build AROUND or THROUGH the studios?
  14. The proposed Perth Theme Park Resort is getting a $2 million feasibility study, so I doubt $10, 000 would get you very far.
  15. mba, aren't you like 12?? And you're planning on writing your own apps, roller coaster game and operating system?? Not that I'm saying you can't, but if you can, then wow.
  16. Update for today. I haven't moved too far yet. Mario Kart - Track 1 (Bowser's Castle): Angry Birds Plaza Day: Night Hyrule: Main Street so far: I've also begun a Pac-Man roller coaster (as you can see in the background of the last image). But I didn't take a photo as all I've done is an outline of the building w/ coaster.
  17. Yeah, I did more today and made the hills tabletops ('cause that's what they actually are IRL).
  18. Here's another update photo for today. More close ups of the Angry Birds Ride tomorrow.
  19. I thought about doing a Pokemon ride, but it's a hard game to make a ride for. I have to get through all my current rides first!
  20. That's actually a good idea.... I will do that.
  21. Ok, so I was a bit bored, and I always thought 'Why isn't there a theme park dedicated ENTIRELY to games? Like, some games makes 100's of millions, even billions, of dollars, bigger than some of the biggest block-buster movies, but there's no theme parks based around them'. So, I decided to take it to the game. I came up with four main games (which are the biggest and most known of their genre): -Legend of Zelda -Mario -Angry Birds (VERY Popular, no matter how basic it is) -Call of Duty (Black Ops had one of the biggest debuts ever) Then I came up with the rides. But it's not just the rides, in the two biggest 'worlds' (which don't yet exist), it'll be an experience in the whole area - the stretching landscape of Hyrule in LoZ and the buildings and chaos in Call of Duty. Ok, so back to the rides. There'll be: -Legend of Zelda: The Ride - Based around the most 'revolutionary' one of the series, Ocarina of Time - Coaster. -Skyward Flight - Using one of ImagineerJohn's CTRs, it'll be based around Skyward Sword - Dark Ride -Trams in around the Call of Duty city -Call of Duty Roller Coaster -An Angry Birds Shooting Gallery (like Toy Story Mania) - Dark Ride - This is the ride I began today -Mario Karts (Speaks for itself) -Mario Playground (still making & getting CS for this one) So today I spent most of my time on the project doing the Angry Birds ride (installing the invisible tracks, and the CTR, beginning some images for billboards and making the ride with only a few touches so far). All I've got so far are some images just to show progress. There's still A LOT to go, so try not to judge too much just yet. Because I can't attach BMP photos, here's the links: http://bradmullins.net/Shot0014.bmp http://bradmullins.net/Shot0015.bmp And 'Main Street': http://bradmullins.net/Shot0016.bmp I'm making all the billboard images/images in the shooter myself. More updates in a couple of days once I've done some more.
