  1. Hope you don't get to mad that I'm one!😉 Besides, I did not even knew that they were called Buzz/Bus Bar! So I am not mad. But to the original topic, I would be devastated if the Sea World Monorail goes. It is the last place that an Monorail is in operation in Australia, the rest are in museums that are extremely difficult to find and see. I used to go on the Sydney Monorail once every 2 weeks and would from 2008 ish to early 2012 would do 1 loop from Darling Park, then from mid 2012 to mid 2013 when it shut, I went on 2 loops from Convention. It was my favorite thing in the world, and still is today. I know, Gunzels are horrible. They go and shut you down on any word that you say! Then they excuse it saying that your ideas are dumb and that you need to stop ranting and raving. There is one on Railpage if you want to meet him.
  2. I absolutely agree with you! Dreamworld is going the same way as Wonderland, and this is getting extremely concerning. Ardent Leisure is the new Sunway. When I hear that all of Dreamworld is being knocked down and becoming an industrial park called R.I.P Dreamworld (just kidding we would not be Scrooge McDuck without IT gone) I will be not surprised! And you should not either!
  3. I was going to mention about the economic's of having the River Caves, but I decided to not mention it. Unless if you could find some sort of science fiction way to be able to safely have it as both an dodgems and a ballroom at the same time, it is not going to happen. And you would also have to knock down some interior walls, extend the building further to the cliff edge. And you would also have to remove a large chunk of the foyer at the Big Top. As I have been to neither Big Top or Crystal Palace yet, I don't know if other places would be affected. And as functions is the main profit for Luna Park, it will cut an huge hole into the income of the park. And then if you include construction costs, I will let you think what would happen. With LPM, I have personally never have been to LPM before, nor really anywhere outside of Sydney in my life. So I am not an expert anywhere outside of Sydney really. And I was only thinking about the space where Metropolis used to be. But when you told us about the S&S coaster, which I did not know anything about, I just knew that it would be perfect at LPM. I do apologize for not mentioning it beforehand. I agree that there needs to be gentle rides available, I don't ride stuff like the Moon Ranger, as I even puke on an kids teacup ride! There has already been an proposal for that which we have already talked about on this forum, it is called The Highline. And even if the plan goes into place, there will be no room to fit in River Caves in the new land. And if you want to use the back of the park for River Caves, you won't be able to fit in anything else!
  4. It would be an great idea to bring back the River Caves! But just like with an Roller Coaster, where do you put it? I am personally thinking that where Dodgem City is right now might be an good spot, and move the dodgems to Crystal Palace. But it would have to include basically knocking down some interior walls to fit in River Caves. And then possibly having an Eurofighter Coaster on top where Tumble Bug is now.
  5. If you want to have an thrilling roller coaster, you might just be able to fit in something like Steeplecase or Soarin' Eagle into LPM. But that is the most that you can get. This is because of the limited space available to LPM, because the park encircles Scenic Railway. So there really is not that many options available, not even an Eurofighter can fit in LPM!
  6. Now, I must admit that my only experience of a theme park are only in Sydney. But what I was saying is that Tumble Bug has a nod to an old ride at Luna Park. I was not saying that it is great. Tumble Bug was named after this ride (an image is below) that used to be in the park for over 40 years! How long has it been since you last went to LPS? Because since then, the Tango Train has been closed down, demolished, and rebuilt. Maybe the original Tango Train belongs in an carnival, but the new Tango Train belongs perfectly in LPS! It has an simmilar theme as Volare, it has an Mild and Wild version. Mild version now allows Green Band people to ride with an Adult, and the Wild version goes 2x faster than the orignal. And at the back, it is not all empty and nothing. Now it has a blue wall with stars and these beautiful lights, here is the difference: Old: New: But that is only my opinion, if you think otherwise, that is fine!
  7. (I am sorry in advance if I sound bossy or angry, it is just getting annoying this conversation going around an roundabout) They are already looking more at "Silly Symphony Swings", the 2 most recent rides Tango Train 2.0 and Volare were amazingly made, and there could be some more coming soon. Already a lot of rides in Luna Park have a nod to old Rides, like Tumble Bug. I do not know or that there are any plans. But with the current trend, we could see some more soon. The rest of the country has an dismal theme park industry compared to the Gold Coast. So if you have every been there (I have not) have lower expectations for the rest of the country, and New Zealand and almost all of the Pacific Islands! Again, and this should be the last time that I need to say this. IT IS NOT EASY TO ADD IN RIDES AT LUNA PARK!!!!! It took them 3 whole years to add Volare into the park! There were supposed to be another 5 rides with Volare, but couldn't because their neighbors complained to the courts. The park has closed down before after only 16 months because of complaints! Luna Park has to be extremely cautious about adding permanent rides like an Eurofighter. So they have rides from Joylands to come during peak periods. And we, nor they can't do that much about it! Right, FINISHED!
  8. Also, if an light package is on a ride like Hangtime. Well then you will start to have severe complaints about the lights, and they would be right. Nobody in Milsons Point and maybe even all the way in the City and Barangaroo and Pyrmont and Mc Mahons Point would not be able to sleep! And if you have Autism like me, you would defiantly have an sensory overload. It would just repeat 1995-1996 for you! Luna Park have been getting better with some permanent rides, like the Volare is amazing! Same with the Hair Raiser and new Tango Train! It is just you have to play the waiting game if you are Luna Park.
  9. The Go Gator Coaster is only temporarily on site as part of the temporary rides. They are having these rides during the Wild Weekends, and has replaced the Power Surge for some reason, maybe COVID? I really do not know. But basically. There were apartments that were built between the closures of Luna Park, as it was seemed that it would be demolished and for more apartments to be built on the site. Once Luna Park reopened with the Big Dipper in 1995, there were serious complaints by the neighbors for the loud noise mainly from the Big Dipper. They sued Luna Park, and as because they were rich, they won! Because of that, Luna Park had to severely reduce their hours of operating the Big Dipper, and also for the rest of the park. Combining that with adverse weather conditions, and competition from Wonderland. Luna Park had to close down 16 months after the park first reopened. Since then, Luna Park has been extremely cautious to not repeat that again. Even when Volare was put in, it took them over 3 years from the announcement of the 6 new rides, to the installment of only 1 ride. This is because of complaints for every new ride in the park, which is either Park Noise, or obstruction of the view of Sydney Harbour. In a perfect world, Luna Park would not have closed because of the Ghost Train Fire. Luna Park would have all of Maloney's Corner, North Sydney Sidings, and all of Lavender Green. But that is not the case. I personally think that they only people would have an excuse to complain are the apartments on the cliff edge. As they are distributively close to the park. Like only 2m away from the park. But everyone else does not have a case, but they still win. This is why Luna Park does not add even a Sky Roller into the park. It might happen one day, but the neighbors would have to be kicking and screaming out of their house while it is being demolished for it to happen.
  10. Who told you that it is getting removed? There has been no evidence from anybody at Luna Park Sydney that it is going to be removed from what I am aware of. And as you can see there that the website says that it is having some work done to it. It is very normal for the HUSS Rides to be closed down for many weeks, sometimes months do have a refurb.
  11. It was a joke about that "silly idea that teenagers burnt the house down out of revenge for people showering naked"! It was never meant to be serious.
  12. Rockin Tug, Sizzler, and Power Surge have been placed at Maloney's Corner for the School Holidays, it is quite regular to have temporarily rides in place for the School Holidays. Once Luna Park have finished "renting" these rides, they will go back to Joylands and be used by another customer, like a School Fair. Rides like Mystery Manor and Pirates Revenge were temporarily rides. There has also been Body Rock, Fantasy Flyer, Freak Out, Speed, Hurricane, and more! Also Joylands now do the Children Rides in a semi permanent state. Joyland Staff also wear the LPS Uniform when they are operating them them.
  13. I got an idea! How about we move on from this mess as people actually died from this. I believe that this conversation has become too inappropriate for the topic at hand.
  14. This is the source that I got about the BB house fire: https://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/national/queensland/big-brother-narrator-says-fire-really-sad-for-australians-to-see-20190622-p520ay.html And it is something my parents told me about why not to watch Big Brother. I quote "You should not watch big brother as they do naked showers on the TV, and that Big Brother tells them what to do all the time. When to eat, when to sleep, when to go to the toilet. So, we don't want you watching it." I used to do that.
  15. I have never been to Dreamworld before, But I am really worried that Dreamworld will go just like what Wonderland did. If you have a look in the past 5 years, most of Gold Rush Country is gone, there were 2 severe accidents 5 months apart of each other, there are security problems when six kids burnt down the Big Brother House (maybe because of the naked showers and other weird stuff they do), they have closed down almost all the log flumes there, all of the Play School Art Room has been removed from the website and is closed, and Wipeout and Tower Of Terror II are gone. It is quite clear for the past 5 years that Ardent Leisure has neglected the park, causing incidents and deaths from this. Dreamworld is now a shell of itself from only 10 years ago. And this is because of the neglect. It is time for somebody who is more competent to take over the parks operation. Or Dreamworld will just become another Wonderland.
  16. It was just there, standing but not operating. Both rides had nobody doing anything to them. Tumble Bug had the green fence up, and you could only go as far as the top of the Big Dipper Staircase. And then the Ranger I assumed it was under maintainace, as sometimes the Moon Ranger can be closed for months to be maintained. I assume that is the most likely case that is happening. But I will mention it to the Management when I next see them.
  17. When I was there back on July 3rd. When you get up to the Tumble Bug. It is all blocked out by fencing. I did record it all blocked up, but I can't upload it to Parkz. It seems like they are going to replace it with something. Sadly, if it gets removed, I would of never gotten to ride it. As I get sick even by a little kids teacup ride! Nor the Spider or the Tumble Bug. When I go back there next time, I will have a chat with the Management about what is happening with the HUSS rides. If they do replace them, these are MY IDEAS.... Have a Eurofighter Coaster called the Big Dipper where Tumble Bug is. Have new flat (or mostly new) flat rides where the Spider and the Moon Ranger is right now, there is endless choices (but I would prefer it to be a permanent ride rather than a Joylands ride like they did to the kids ride). A more permanent version of Pirates Revenge and Mystery Manor at their old places, as they were so popular. Another option is to add a Junior Roller Coaster. Something as simple as the new one at Legoland Windsor, or as complex as the one at Gumbuya World. And it is possible for expansion of the park for new rides and moving some rides in the future.

What I could possibly see as new rides replacing the HUSS Rides are: A new Eurofigther Roller Coaster called Big Dipper where Tumble Bug is. But I see it as unlikely, mainly because of COVID and Height and Noise Restrictions. An Tornado Flat Ride might be a good idea as it fits in with the themeing of Luna Park. With Tornado where the Spider is right now, then an Condor Flat ride (if noise and height restrictions meet) where Moon Ranger is right now, then have a permanent version of Pirates Revenge and Mystery Manor at their former locations as they are so popular. It is also possible to add a Junior Coaster where the Spider and Moon Ranger is, as I have already mention before here in Parkz. If the Sydney Harbour Bridge is not on the World Heritage Listed Site. The Roter would not be even close. But, it is NSW State Heritage Listed with The Face, Midway, Coney Island, Wild Mouse, Crystal Palace, The Cliff Edge (at the right side of the park from the Face), and The Fig Trees (on top of The Cliff Edge). So they can't remove it.
  19. I went to Luna Park Sydney today on their first day open. I will have more information on my Youtube Channel sometime later. But simply, when you get in via the Face and other entrances, Security are at the front gate so that only the people who have tickets come in, the rest are turned away. You can only go to the Merchandise Store when you are leaving or arriving. You then line up in a queue where people are supposed to social distance on. Then they scan your ticket when you get to the front of the line. If you have a Annual Pass, Multi Visit Pass, Companion Card, or other cards to enter the park that is free, you need to show ID. They have a desk where they scan them, then right behind the desk is a table. There is on the desk some badges, and a thermometer. They then take your temperature, and then give you a badge with a number, the number depends on how many people are in your group, your badge acts as a ticket. Once you get in, all staff except the management and showtime performers. The Showtime performers are always behind 3 stages around the park, one at Dodgem City, one at the Sideshow Games, and at the Ferries Wheel. Some rides have had some of their seats not available, like Volare. Some rides were closed for maintenance, like Moon Ranger and Tumble Bug, and some areas were closed off in Coney Island like Joy Wheel, the Course, and the Left and Middle Slide, because of COVID. Hungry Horse Restaurant has been converted to a Showbag Shop temporarily. There is 3 new temporary rides at Maloney's Corner. Those are, Rockin Tug, Sizzler, and Power Surge (Not yet opened). All owned by Joylands. You need to use hand sanitizer as you come on and off rides, you also social distance in queues (but no virtual queues), you can only pay with card, no outside food nor drinks are allowed to come, the lockers can't be used, and bring some beer as you can have them with you. Other than everything above, everything is fine and normal at Luna Park. Actually, it is the best time to come. If you get tickets now, you can be in a mostly quiet Luna Park, with only having to wait less than 10 minutes for a ride.
  20. And we have it there so a Second Wave does no happen. Many innocent lives have already been lost, we don't want more. I am sicken that nobody is Social Distancing, and it makes me terrified! My Dad has just had Open Heart Surgery, and my Grandmother has just gotten a Pacemaker put in. If somebody infects me because they were silly not to Social Distance. It would set back severely their recovery or kill them! Almost every family has at least one member who could get seriously sick for life or dead from COVID-19. But some people seem like they clearly do not care for their family's! It is just not fair!
  21. Luna Park in Sydney will be reopening on Friday July 3rd 2020. And tickets are currently available for these School Holidays ONLY. So, I really do not know if they will close again after the school holidays, but it is unlikely they will close unless something went horribly wrong. There are 2 sessions a day. From 10am to 2pm, and 3pm till 7pm, lasting for 4 hours. All tickets are Unlimited Rides Passes. There is Social Distancing (I don't think the guests will follow it) in queues, rides, staff, and other areas. Some rides may be closed (not outlined which) due to COVID-19. Your visit will be considered a event, rather than a normal visit. Staff will be wearing masks and other protective gearing, and will be disinfecting objects frequently. The visit will include a food pass, and sideshow pass (unless you have a annual pass or multi visit pass). They recommend you to come 30 minutes before the start of the event so that they can take your temperature and other medical stuff they need to do. More information is on their website: https://justforfun.lunaparksydney.com/luna-park-is-back/ or this video uploaded by Luna Park: I will be going on the first day, on the first session. And might take photo's and videos if I get permission to do that. Just don't want anybody from Sydney Trains, it could be anybody to try and touch me or try to take away my property again.
  22. I want to find out to, because here in Sydney. Museums, Galleries, and Zoo's are back, but not Luna Park. And I am really am busting to go back and be swallowed by the face! Even though that we are in Stage 2 of reopening, no signs of Public Transport Museums, nor Luna Park of reopening, if there is more information about it, I want to find out please!
  23. What about Big Dipper? Crazy neighbors screaming in their noses into a copy of the ride! Going, "THE NOISE" "PLEASE MR BLOOD, HELP US" "THE BIG DIPPER, AND THE MONORAIL ARE THE MOST OFFENSIVE STRUCTURE, TO EYESAW OUR CITY, SINCE THE CAHILL EXPRESSWAY COASTED OF SYDNEY HARBOR" "MY EYES ARE BOILING" "MR DUCK, TEAR DOWN THIS PARK" "I FEEL I AM NOT ALONE" "DEMOLISH THE SPRITES OR WHATEVER THE NAME IS"! No roller coaster like The Big Dipper has existed in Sydney, or in NSW since!
  24. It could be possible of Six Flags to purchase Gumbuya World. Or another regional park a little like the aforementioned parks. Buy some more land, do immerse renovation, to turn the park into a Six Flags. But that is still very unlikely right now as mentioned in my post further up.
  25. I think it would be a great idea to put in a Six Flags somewhere in Australia. I don't think the Gold Coast would be the best place as Six Flags is more of an regional park rather than an NATIONAL THEME PARK! OH MY GOODNESS THEY ARE THE CHOSEN ONE! Anyways, even though it would be a great idea, and a good investment in practice. But Six Flags is already having financial problems again and it is seeming like they are going to look for a new owner, most likely Warner Brothers. More information here: And even if they were not in financial difficulty, since the end of the 20th Century, nobody wants to invest in Australia because of the high wages of a minimum of $18.50 per hour! And you need usually for a big park like Six Flags over 500 people. And with all the other expenses, it would not be financially viable. Unless if the minimum wage went down, which of course NOBODY would like. They would all be protesting in the streets. Right next to parliament saying. "HIGHER MINIMUM WAGE, WE CAN'T AFFORD TO LIVE NEXT TO THE NOOIIISSE ANYMORE OF SILLY LUNA PARK!" That is what they would be chanting, and we really do not want that. So the foreseeable future, sadly no.
