  1. What a funky looking AA replacement... (insert laugh here)
  2. Can't really remember well but booking leave anytime from the 5th to the 20th should be safe enough. I forgot from last year, but could anyone remember if it was on during weekdays too?
  3. Dates are yet to be announced, but a visit to the website said it'll return December this year. https://whitechristmas.com.au/
  4. The maintenance period for Buzzsaw has since been removed from Dreamworld's website.
  5. Luna Palaszczuk once said... "I understand [the residents] are whingeing and you'd expect that from [the residents]." "They're good at whingeing and that's all [we] ever hear is whinge, whinge, whinge, from [them]. This is value for money... and the benefits that it will bring into the local economy is going to be flowing." Also, it's good to hear from you again @Coasterlife.
  6. Very keen and excited to see what the future holds for our parks...
  7. Since the max speed on the third launch will bring the train up to a speed of 105km/h, that would make approximately 35km/h per launch (unless Dreamworld decide to shake up the launch speeds). I'm excited to see how this turns out as I've never experienced a Mack launch before, and I've seen some pretty... gradual launches from them.
  8. I'd hope our mate is doing well AND following the lockdown guidelines/restrictions. Haven't heard from him for a couple weeks... I understand that people have their own reasons for not being active online, so I understand it's not any of my business to comment about it.
  9. I'm loving the idea of F&B outlets being located around Steel Taipan... Maybe they'll put a small shop there for the purchase of the Spinning Seat experience? If not, I wouldn't know if it were possible but, would they be able to use Buzzsaw's land and add a ride that extends into the Blue Lagoon area? Maybe share it with whatever future ride (I hope) utilises the Log Ride's land?
  10. If the "big announcement" doesn't come during FN marketing, and not during WC marketing... Maybe they'll announce it sometime when Heroes and Villains is on... Sources did say an announcement would be at the end of the year - but that could mean anywhere from now to the summer holidays. I highly doubt this'll be the case, but would you think they would do what Dreamworld do and include some small snippet of an upcoming attraction during their marketing campaigns focused around events? Like how Steel Taipan slithered its way into Dreamworld's Easter Holidays or Winterfest ads? Below videos from BigDatr? Dreamworld - Make New Memories 30 sec.mp4 Dreamworld Winterfest 30 sec.mp4
  11. Given that Hooray for Hollywood has wrapped up, it's fair to say that "Big announcement" is imminent. Maybe we'll see Fright Nights part of that announcement too (just to put it out there and highlight to the GP that it's returning this year). Expect the new ride and the not-so-secret hotel to be announced
  12. Encountering the same problem. Is/Was anyone able to ss it? Disregard, I am now able to view it
  13. I'd never thought I'd see that camera used... Whereabouts is the kiosk thing located? And since this is the eastern side of the drop, will the west have it too?
  14. Not sure if it has been previously discussed, but the excuse for Coasterlife's visit to Luna Park goes as follows (response posted from TikTok):
  15. After viewing a couple of rollback test vids of Blue Fire, I guess it's clear to see how slow our initial launch will be (I mean, what else was there to expect from a triple launch?). It'll be a decent launch for those first-time riders weary and scared of rollercoasters to say the least...
  16. After viewing the video, it does appear that the accident occured in an area "mid-ride" with the absence of a conveyor belt. It's sad to watch like what @ejpdtd said, and that it makes it even worse to know that the situation is beyond the guest's control. The riders on the passing raft couldn't do anything but sit and watch, the riders on the upturned raft helplessly trying hard to do whatever they were trying to do. It's hard to comprehend how that accident could've happened, seeing that the area was relatively calm, mild or somewhat gentle (I've never been on a river rapids ride myself, so I cannot judge on what the experience through an area like that would be like). Just hope the families affected, the park, investigators and other important figures reach a conclusion and find the answers they are looking for and are somewhat able to consign something to the past (I understand it'll be hard to). Wishing the grieving family the warmest hugs, thoughts and prayers, and that their son rests ever so peacefully.
  17. According to the NSW Govt. Website, these are the only reasonable excuses to leave home:
  18. Imagine waking working to the sounds of screaming as riders zoom past your window...
  19. Imagine waking to the sounds of screaming as riders zoom past your window...
  20. That $4,500 fine seems a little reasonable for that event, but for the Thunder River Rapids-like incident, I assume there'll be an even heavier fine.
  21. Apparently the friction brakes on the final brake run will be removed to make way for magnetic brakes instead?
  22. Rivals is expected to go down for maintenance again for a few short days this month.
