  1. New Instagram Reel From SeaWorld showcasing the smaller statues. The caption states “Don’t miss the FINAL reveal coming soon” so that leads me to hope we might be getting an opening date or something in the next few days 🤞 https://www.instagram.com/reel/Ckph0u_j3FA/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
  2. A Mack powered coaster coaster with dark ride scenes would be the best thing ever! Dreamworld needs an immersive attraction to complement SkyVoyage, and the suspended aspect a ride like Arthur would fill in the suspended gap that would appear if dreamworld is to axe that painful hang n bang that is Madagascar
  3. I know you’re joking but that actually kinda sounds like a good addition to dreamworld. Any new darkride for the GC I think would be a win lol
  4. That would make sense, as many parks pay for licensing rights to use IP based property, and tbh when I said that I didn’t mean that Warner Bros. owned that park, but rather that it was a Warner Bros. themed park. so for the sake of copying a ride from another park, it would only work if another park with Warner IP had a good ride that was worth Village trying to be able to copy which there isn’t.
  5. I definitely don’t think copying an existing ride is a bad idea, that’s why I mentioned it, but after looking at the Abu Dhabi park i realised its full of mega million dollar attractions on the scale of Disney or universal. The only other Warner bros. Park is in Spain, and it was once a six flags, so they don’t have any non-coasters at are worth copying. However, Movie Park in Germany would be worth a look at. The studio coaster looks amazing, and would be a perfect addition to the park, and so would the indoor Van Helsing’s coaster, although that’s probably much too similar to scooby doo. So while copying a ride is always a good cost saving idea, MW is a warner bros park and there aren’t many great options to copy from parks with the same theme
  6. I totally forgot about the labour laws in that part of the world, you’d be lucky to build a ride from there for the same price at all
  7. I totally agree, the parks don’t have the attendance to well support a $60 mil plus ride, and Warner Bros Abu Dhabi probably wasn’t the best comparison. However, there are many great immersive experience in the world that haven’t costed anything that much. Some that come to mind are the shooters at regional parks in the US.
  8. I guess I was thinking more hypothetically, cause all those rides are really expensive like you mentioned, all on price tags equivalent to Disney & universal, if not more. I just feel like MW is lacking in immersive experiences, instead opting to buy coasters with next to no theming. The park's starting to feel like a six flags disguised as a world class themepark tbh.
  9. Considering these IP applications are for a re-theme of either ABC kids or Dreamworks, and let’s be real they almost certainly are, I wonder if it would just be a complete re- skin of area/s or if any new rides would open? I feel like the GP would see it as a downgrade if they said, “we’re taking out our IP based land in favour of something generic” but if they announced the re-theme with a significant attraction/s maybe it would feel like a more complete addition.
  10. From personal experience of not living anywhere near the gold coast, hence having to always buy day tickets like the average GP, I can say I always prioritise MW because of it's collection of rides and rollercoasters, only every going to Dreamworld when I feel like there's something new there eg. ST. However, whenever I've been to dreamworld in recent years, it's always an enjoyable experience, and while it may not have the better experiences or rollercoaster compared to it's competition, I always have a better day there because of the friendly staff, clean park & the fact that lines are a no show. If they we're to add a dark ride, water ride and maybe another good rollercoaster in the next 10 or years or so, I think that it would be the better park in my opinion, but I guess that the GP are put off of going because of the TRR accident. Only time will tell ig. I also noticed that the IP application for Jungle rush is due in 2024. Maybe it's actually something substantial to compete with WoO that year, and not just a re-theme of something.
  11. Yeah that would be pretty lack-luster if it was just a re-theme to MDMC
  12. I absolutely agree. MW desperately needs another dark ride! I know they buy the rides before they put a theme to them, but the wizard of oz was great theme to build an immersive experience to, and it was kinda wasted potential IMHO. If I were village I would try to work with Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi to replicate one of their ride l, but that’s just me
  13. I think dreamland is a re-theme of the ABC kids area for sure. The last visit I took to Dreamworld was about 6 months ago, and let’s just say that ABC world has seen better days lol. My hope is that jungle rush is a dark ride, cause Dreamworld desperately needs one, I hope to think it might be a shooter style attraction.
  14. Tbh I don’t think I would have to be a coaster. I don’t know about you, but I don’t see justice league staying much longer. Like I know they are doing a refurbishment, and that will work in the short term, but considering how badly the ride deteriorated over 10 years I just can’t see it lasting another decade until the time period around the Olympics. On the other hand tho, if GL keeps on playing up they might want to replace it with the Joker RMC raptor that was in the talks for the park, considering that area can fit a ride like that, which I think could work cause they are small scale.
  15. I know this is an old thread, but thought people would like to know that adventure world is now advertising their new kid's ride on their website. Only time will tell what the new ride is.
  16. Do we have any idea how close the attraction is to opening? The ride itself has been done for ages, and the theming/queue looks to coming along nicely, so I just wonder how soon it will take to get the coaster up and running for guests at the park.
  17. Not to mention you get to experience DisneySea there, I while I’ve never been it looks amazing, and far better than any of the US parks. Especially considering they’re adding that massive Fantasy Springs expansion sometime next year.
  18. I just checked that info it was $550 AUD for 2 day park hopper at Disneyland, but omg I never remember it being that expensive! I went three times between 2011 - 2019 and tickets never reached more than $250 AUD for the 2 day both parks, so I’m guessing there’s been a lot of Chapek Markups being done since the Pandemic, which is never a good thing thing. But when I comes to Disney in Australia, I feel it’s more of a Aussie Disney renaissance that could last several decades, that hopefully leads to park being built here at some point in the future. For now I just hope that Ardent sells Dreamworld relatively soon, to a company that encourages themeing at the park, so we can at least have a park in the nation with a good dark ride or so mixed in with quality coasters
  19. I really want a Disney park to come to Australia in some form, and while I don’t think something specific is planned yet, I feel as if Disney is starting to test their waters here with the announcement of Disney cruises coming here. tbh I really feel like we have the economy to support at least something Universal Singapore’s size, and If they ever intend on building another international park, I really can’t see anywhere else being considered, due to our good economic status and our great political relationship with the US. When I comes to Merlin buying Dreamworld tho, I believe it’s only a matter of time. It’s the perfect park for a company like that to buy, and Ardent clearly isn’t overly interested in keeping it, however I’m not entirely convinced it would become a Legoland. Mabye something similar to Chessington instead. Also, If Merlin bought dreamworld would it give them the rights to Dreamworks? cause that would be another reason for them to acquire the park.
  20. It’s funny you say that, as Funfields was my home park up until 2 years ago and I do agree it’s a very nice park, with their theming definitely having been updated nicely in the last few years with their re-themed kid zone. I’ll be sure to get there if I have time, especially considering it’s slide collection is superior like you have said.
  21. Tbh, I think the thing is that MW doesn’t have enough supporting attractions to cover the demand the park gets as Australia’s premier theme/amusement park. If you go to a six flags or cedar fair park in the summer, the varying types of flats and older coasters support the leftover demand that the bigger coasters can’t handle, as do the smaller fantasy land dark rides and spinners for your space mountain and jungle cruise at the Disney parks around the world. At MW, you only have 2 adult flats (which I think is a major problem when it comes to crowds) and every other ride outside of Kid’s WB is a major attraction in it’s respected ride type for the park, unless you count Green lantern, which I still think is a big ride for MW. I’m not saying crowds shouldn’t be expected, and I think the article is silly considering the crowds aren’t any bigger than the previous holidays this year, but adding one or two thrilling flat rides would really help clear congestion for this park.
  22. I have no idea, but I definitely know that this will be the premier park for Victoria now, especially considering it has the coasters, waterslides and wildlife like dreamworld does in QLD, This place has gone from the bottoms of my priorities to the top, and quite possibly will be the only park I try to get to this summer went I go down to Melbourne from NT.
  23. I agree. When I saw those headlines around six weeks ago, I got really excited, hoping it would feature a dark ride or small flat, similar to the Lego discovery center I guess. While I do think it’s a good concept & a win for Melbourne, the term “theme park” is a bit of a stretch. Will still try to head to in Summer when I’m down in Melbourne tho.
  24. Nah, never been on Olympia Looping cause I haven’t gone to Europe yet, although I really want to. Like I said I know it has nothing to do with what happened, I was just reminiscing about how I found the restraints on the Rebel strange.
