  1. FFS it's McDonalds! The only thing about it is it's fast. If you want good, go somewhere else but the deal with maccas is its fast and that's great. Would you want them to work like KFC and other chains do? They are useless. All of you with high critiques of maccas food are probably spending WAY too much time there. As for the maccas accross from movieworld the staff there would have to be some of the best in the country so I call bullshit on any complainers.
  2. I've noticed signage at the ride stating it is open for Technical Rehearsals. That being the case we really can't complain about issues.
  3. No there has been no change to the park entrance as yet.
  4. Sudden Impact were involved in last years event and the year before also... If you look closely you can spy props from previous years mazes, past attractions, old shows, all sorts of things. You'd be amazed what gets pulled together to build these highly themed attractions. Of course they would keep all of these items. It's quite fascinating what goes into this kind of unique construction as its a delicate balance of movie set detail level, sturdiness to last the month and budget as the attraction only lasts a month and isnt permanent. The small teams that build the attractions have huge attention to detail and really put a lot of love into what they do. I can't say anything of this years mazes other than they are some of the best yet seen and should surprise a lot of people.
  5. Ummm it's a movieworld... So movieworld??
  6. ^ But really Gazza did you expect him to not find someway to further criticize JL in an unrelated thread
  7. ^Apparentky no one cept Bemani up there. But let him enjoy is continuing argument pretty much with himself
  8. The vague campaign is great... But you need to start like 9-12 months out... By now the ride should be revealed. Still say Space Probe 7 was best ride advertising campaign ever.
  9. Wow they smashed this thing into an opening state. Very impressive work.
  10. Thanks so much for educating me on digital projection systems... Those that know me will giggle, those that don't will think I'm an ass
  11. I wouldn't hold your breath. Maybe a dreamworld coaster but doesn't seem to fit the overly themed family thrill path the village parks appear to be taking at the moment.
  12. Take Cars Land. I can look at video and know it will be good. But I'm not gonna flaw anything before I go see it because geeze, it's nothing like being there.
  13. Would never work, you'd need it too far behind the screen for the image size and you'd lose too much light. Out front is easily done but you're talking a few hundred thousand dollar investment.
  14. It's hilarious to hear some of the comments in this thread. A couple go pro videos and people are already saying what they are disappointed in. Basically it's the greatest themed attraction this country has ever seen and bloody up there on an international one. What were people expecting I wonder? And how about actually go ride it before judging. Because without the immersive sound and effects, 3D video and physical experience it's basically like watching a concert on a iPhone shot video really. I am actually genuinely shocked to read anything but raving comments from even the tiny glimpses on here. I know I can't wait to ride it. And I laughed a lot at the negative 'starfish comments' when people didn't even know who Starro is.
  15. I think people really do over estimate the number of people that 'duck over to maxcas' for food. Yes people do but HEAPS of people eat in the parks.
  16. Who built this ride? It's looks to me like whilst this ride has physical targets and video targets they are really not integrated together in the one scene, it's either or. Like the gaming system has two modes almost. It also appears the cars stop for each video scene. So I get where the world first comes from of having both physical and video targets in the one cohesive scene. It's Sally that are saying this is a world first, not just our opinion so maybe you should take the beef up with them?
  17. Indeed first attraction to integrate both moving video targets and physical targets in the one attraction. Joz is correct.
