Yeah with the extra nights I'm hoping we can get away one night to go, that's motivation right there to get other people trained in my job The grog thing is a biggy, at Universal you can pretty much by some form of booze every few hundred meters around the park. The other one is atmosphere, get the damn lights off in the park, smoke the crap out of the place and have it scary. WPH&S needs to take a step back for these events to work. I have been waiting for the good american stuff to start making its way into the parks and looks like this could be the start!

I say bring back the playground and ball pit that used to be up there

That's really bad given the ride just came out of refurb so it's clear nothing is being done to it AV wise. The new show is definitely not 4D so I don't know why it would be on the maps. The maintenance people at MW certainly read these forums and care what people have to say. Many things have been fixed up largely due to public comments. It would seem that the people at Seaworld just don't care (they are no longer the same people) which is really bad.

Australian Outback Spectacular (Being Replaced?)

It's all about the letter F now. You could never do that screen with anything less than HD. Even at 1080p a pixel is still nearly 1cm wide on a screen that big! -

The show as you can see is only closed for a week and reopens with the new show. As will anything new though I would give it a month to settle itself in. There may just have been some barco product bought... -
Australian Outback Spectacular (Being Replaced?)
rappa replied to dodge53's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Outback Spectacular stands as a separate entity outside the rest of the WVTP show and entertainment structure. Pretty much everything we do over there is run differently than in the parks, which is good, because it's not a theme park. -

^ Oh if only you knew The myfun site pretty much says anything that can be said. Work is obviously very much underway, and its very go go go. Probably more intensive than even the original opening was, as shows are still being performed nightly. The show will definitely have a different feel and can be classed as something new to see. I will say the new show has the addition of several significant technical elements, as well as huge changes in the technical infrastructure. The biggest change for the show is something that really has to be seen to be done justice, and in my opinion , worth the ticket. (certainly good to watch the footy on too ) -
I'm sure you would understand Alex that light hearted banter back and forth is very different from talking about the current state of the companies workforce so I really can't answer your question. Same goes for this talk of AOS, I of course am not in a position to comment on or disclose anything at this stage. All I will say is that JSM is very much involved with the project.

I'm sorry but the position of clueless has been filled good sir

^ Thats GOLD!

I'd step aside and put John Menzies back in the drivers seat and take the position of COO so I could make sure John's vision was implimented day after day. The way the parks should be run.

Guy's you're being silly and unrealistic. Nearly all theme parks accross the work have different versions of annual passes with costs and blackout dates to match. Forget theme parks, ALL advertising 'stretches' the truth to get your attention and then clarifies with fine print, that's just the way the world works.

Looking for someone who works at WVTP
rappa replied to Reanimated35's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Here is a better thought than looking it up on whitepages.com or google... LOOK AT THE MYFUN WEBSITE. As I've said before, the ride closures are up to date and accurate. If I ride isn't listed it doesn't mean they've forgotten so you need to go wasting their time by calling, it means ITS OPEN! -
I have heard that they are flat out NOT removing the BBQs and the new no food policy will be removed from WnW so make of that what you will. Don't think you've heard the last of F&B changes for that park though... Yeah I think that's a funny reflection of that a)attendance is bad enough that they don't need all the booths, and that it takes so long to get through purchasing a ticket that you need a refreshment stand while you wait
-
That was very enlightening.

Well then, taking an existing idea of someone else's that was proven to not work and fail and was subsequently reversed sounds like it would fit perfectly with some of the other things happening lately LOL
-
I'm pretty sure it's a done deal and the train is confirmed... I believe a member of management recently visited the factory even. You can't really change the seating style as you obviously can't have a suspended coaster and there isn't enough clearance for a stand up.

BT has gone down for Annual Maintenance but I hear it now won't open until late this month... Something must be wrong, but I have no idea what.
-
Yeah and that should either be perfect every time or get a new operator or don't have in manual. When we put in effects you have everything run from show control and the only human action is a safety enable. That way you achieve repeatability and accuracy.
-
I've heard it's coming from Kumbak

If this happens I will be very unimpressed and will just add fuel to my argument that new executive arejust trying to erase anything JSM was a part of.
-
Just look at the bottom of this article and particularly the last paragraph http://miceage.micechat.com/allutz/al072809a.htm Its just hilarious how much wvtp are resembling exactly this.

It just gets back to my never ending argument that people go to parks for escapism. To forget reality and spend a day in a fantasy world. Where your financial struggles and the fact that your family is lower class is forgoten. Where a family can save for a year to just for that one day 'be.' All of that goes out the window when that same family arrives to find out they can't bring in their poor peoples packed lunch. The is forced into the car park to eat like 2nd rate citizens as the children ask why? That's the reality of such policies, it's not about us enthusiasts, it's not about how many mode rides it can let them build. It's how it affects EVERYONE the real customers that the parks are built for. You need to look at it from everyones point of view. As for getting cheap on toilet paper, that's a small thing that can make a BIG difference to how people view the park. On the subject of attraction edditions, expect to see a major addition evey year between the two parks.

Why that's simple Gazza, it achieves the added benefit of p*ssing off your customers in the process
