IMAX is a whole different world to digital and Vmax. Sure VMAX is massive (although my screen is bigger ) and had amazing sound but it's no IMAX. Your VMAX (or any digital cinema screen) has a resolution of just over 2000 pixels wide. The IMAX equivelent with it's 70mm film is closer to 12000 pixels wide! The sad thing with IMAX is 3D films only fill 2/3 of the screen due to the light from the projector having to be split between 2 lenses, so you loose a lot. I saw Avatar on the Sydney IMAX and it was amazing, differen to VMAX but each had their strong points. I had my friend with me who works for Event, I had talked up the IMAX screen but she really wasn't all that impressed with Avatar. So the next day I took her back to see a 2D IMAX doco there, which uses the full screen. To say she was beyond blown away but the sheer size and impact of the screen would be an understatemet. IMAX also has that kick ass punch you in the guts type sounds too. I know the head projectionist at Sydney IMAX and he says they are at least 5 years off considering digital for that platform, maybe more. If ayone ever gets the chance to see an IMAX projection room or projector please do, they themselves are nothing short of amazing.

I've no problem with Castrol, it suits the theme of the show.

Just wanted to point out to the folks not in the construction loop that the pegs being pointed out are just to show cables that already exist, so people don't dig through them. Theyre not indicative of what may be going on out there.

Those pegs are definately marking the HV and LV lines in the area, a closup was posted earlier which showed labels on them. I would dare say the LV line in that area runs to those lights that illuminate the front wall of the park.

Just going back to what Original said a few posts back about not believing no one was talking about this... This is the second time something like this has come up recently. When you find out inside information, it's exactly that. If everyone knew about it, it wouldn't be inside information. When you guys find out things you're not meant to know/talk about, why are people now suddenly getting suprised everyone doesn't know and isn't talking about it? I don't get it.

No I think they are saying that Terror Canyon is a better use of space so should have just stayed there, even though it has been pointed out painfully that it is well closed and would not be returning regardless of Zipline.

^ I pretty much agree, that this is for Sydney so you should stop talking But no, I think the 'action' type attractions really do work at the Wet and Wild parks. And hey, they fit into the 'Wild' category.

I need to have another look at the steel on site but after looking through many photos of the ride model, I can only account for 4 round supports total in the standard model. Which are additional bracing for the second tower. I'm pretty sure that there are more than this on site at DW. So maybe it isn't the standard model after all...

^^ WHY DOES THERE HAVE TO BE PROOF? I said this before, this is a speculation thread of enthusiasts. I don't know if people are just completely missing the point here but members are perfectly entitled to post as to what they may THINK is or should be happening. There needs to be no proof.

Not really. I was asked why I was amused and why people are speculating. I gave an honest answer. I did not come out of my way at the start of the thread and say I can't believe no one on here knows did I. Many people would no doubt assume I know, but I feel it serves no purpose to say so. I've also got 100s of posts and peole know my style. What I was saying to you is that's it's not the best 'opening lime' is all.

Should pobably point out that regardless of whether someone is the almighty supreme moderator of a theme park website, telling them confidential inside information still violates non disclosure agreements. Should also point out that this site is also not an official fact reporting outlet for the parks. Its a discussion forum for theme park fans. If they can't speculate about construction happening what exactly would you like them to do?

There's always gonna be people taking a tiny bit of insight and running with it... But you'd have to assume some people posting know something about what is going on but either won't say or can't. I hate to be 'that person' but I know exactly what is going on (and choose to not even say that much as I hate "I know but can't tell posts) and of course can't discuss it publicly. Hence why Im amused to read the speculation and the speculation on the speculation. Obviously they are building a shop though by the DA already posted.
