  1. The thing is, will the people in the Asian countries you mentioned just go to DLT or DLHK?
  2. Well, KBF and SFMM have little themeing compared to Disney, but they survive.
  3. You asked for it. For my home town, i thought of putting a freefall ride on our telecommunications tower in the middle of town, it reaches a height of 88m so its pretty big already, and the tower has an observation deck on it about halfway up reached by steel stairs to the top, the top part is a metal deck with a roof and dirty windows, and is full of graffiti and is used for drugs, so I generally steer clear, which is a shame since it has great potential, but enough talk about the actual structure, my idea was to put a freefall ride down the side. The track wouldnt be vertical due to the towers shape, but it would be cool. In fact, any sort of tall building could be a candidate for a drop ride, or maybe one of the towers on the bolte bridge could be good too once they reclaim the land around the base. Another idea could be to build not just a coaster, but a whole park in a quarry, i think there could be a possible site for something like this beside the Princess Fwy at Little River, it would be so nice having this bowl shaped park in a quarry, with trees all around with a central feature in the middle, the coasters would all start in the middle of the park and go up the sides of the quarry before doing a u turn and completing a fast downhill run back into the middle of the park. Another one of my crazy ideas was an Inverted coaster that went around my school wrapping around the buildings. Maybe it would just be cool to have a coaster go around a CBD, like how the monorail goes around the Sydney CBD. In melbourne the coaster could start near QV and just run down the streets attached to the sides of buildings, with linear elements like vertical loops, barrel rolls, launches and airtime hills making up the bulk of the ride. Hmm why not extend the system into a whole coaster public transport system, i mean everyone finds commuting a grind, so why not make it fun.
  4. If a Disney park were to open here, it would probably end up being much smaller than a regular Disney park to make up for the fact there would be lower visitor rates than the other Disney parks. Another possiblity could be Disneys Australian Adventure, which would be a similar idea to Disneys California Adventure, I am well aware that DCA isnt as good as the other disney parks, but it is still better than what we have to offer here. But i think any sort of park with the Disney name would probably do well here, no matter how small since many people dream of "taking the kids to disneyland" and with the opportunity to do it here, they would jump on it.
  5. When the time comes, would it be possible for you to post a sample page of how the magazine will look? Also, when will I lose my avatar? Ill probably consider getting this closer to when the DVD and magazine are due for release. One idea for the DVD could be to have still photo gallerys we can look through.
  6. In some articles it is refered to as a museum, and in others a theme park, a museum would be fine since there are museums about a lot of sad things, but i think a theme park is just a bit tacky and disrespectful, I mean would they do a theme park about Gallipoli or Lockerbie for example? Then again, i dont think we will actually see a theme park, many tourist attractions are refered to as theme parks, but the term is often used in a figurative sense and more often than not, its just a interactive museum.
  7. Yeah, we dont need Disney, but we dont need a lot other nice stuff either. These are both wants, therefore, we may not need disney, but we can sure as hell want it .
  8. Hmm, the disney executives were probably just a co-incidence, but a comittee sounds cool. But I wont start getting my hopes up till they actually announce a project for real.
  9. Yeah, the blocking system for WWF would work like you described, There are also devices that can stop the boat completley, usually a gate type device. These are visible when you ride on Vikings Revenge at SW at the top of the drop.
  10. You obviously havent seen Spiderman at Islands of Adventure.
  11. Err, I have a question. If the train is in the station, then how will they get it out of service without doing another cycle? The transfer table is located at the end of the ride before the station, so the only way to get it off the ride would be to cycle it.
  12. Hmm, i havent been outside of Australia, but I love how Alton Towers looks, good rides, good theming all set in the English countryside.

    Nintendo DS

Ah yes of course, the T1-83, i ended up deleting the games off mine because they mess up with how the graphing side of things is set up. To tell the truth, they arent great, no better than the games on an old mobile phone, but i must admit Dope Famer is a cool little game, no mattter how politicaly incorrect. I recently got hold of a factorising program for it, but i havent had a chance to use it properly yet because in our polynomials test we werent allowed calculators. But anyway, back to the DS.
  14. Errr, I thought it had been well established the ride was going to be am Intamin Accelerator, whats all this talk about a hulk coaster for anyway?
  15. Maybe the hat appears to move because of the shadows being cast.
  16. Yes, I imagine the fin is for the brakes, the drive wheels would also utilise the brake fin (the fin goes between the two drive wheels and it forces the car along (similar to a pitching machine) What the hell do you mean about a cold day though? You've lost me there. Not sure about the turntable though but i think the teeth system would be more likely as it would enable a small gear on the outside to turn the large gear on the outside of the turntable, acting like a force multiplier and also enabling more precise control than what a direct motor link would offer.
  17. Hulk was built by B&M and it definitley cost more than $12 million AUD, add to that the fact the launch was a one off and B&M wont do them again (They were forced to put the launch on hulk because universal slipped that into the contract) So in short, not in a million years.
  18. Dont make fun of me if you two are being sarcastic, but how on earth does it do that?
  19. Everyone has missed the point completley, when refering to "they" i was refering to the person who sent in the ride name entry and I was wondering if they had just copied the name "zoomerang" from the ride at lake compounce.

    Nintendo DS

Nintendo are bringing out a card attatchment (SD) that will enable GBA and DS users to do the multimedia stuff that a PSP can. See http://hardware.gamespot.com/Story-ST-11720-1353-4-6-x
  21. Wonder where they got the idea, http://www.rcdb.com/id432.htm
  22. Wonder where they got the idea,
  23. I reckon it would be a pretty hairy experience, rather like being up a tree in strong winds. Hey, that could be a theme, in fact you could theme it to just about any object swaying in the wind.
  24. It doesnt have two have two turntables, just two devices capable of reversing the train in one way or another.
