  1. Damn', they stole my idea, I wanted one of those.... Do we know who owns it? and we have to pay $20 to get into the Melbourne show! Shaun
  2. Your Crazy........ So you reckon that just anyone is quite capable of holding onto an item and returning with it to the satation on a thrill ride such as a coaster? So you would be more than happy to just let anyone hold onto your camera while they ride a thrill ride as long as they don't steal it off you? That would be ludicrous...... FormerWonderEmp is right though, they do make thos rules for a reason but i'm a Hypocrite though, I love to see on ride videos i just don't like to see people get hurt lol Anyway that's my 2 cents Shaun :wbmw:
  3. They built Nic central really quick though didn't they? How long did it take them to build that up? I saposse it didn't have a B&M in it though iether Shaun
  4. yeah they would all have to be fake plants (like you would use reall ones ) and you would just recycle all the water. My idea would be to have something like spongturf (like they have on the ground in mcdonalds playgorund) on the ground so the kiddies couldn't hurt them selves and which would also drain all water away to get recycled. And you could have like fake bamboo platforms with water cannons on the top and little rubber palm trees with sprinlkers onto and all the the things kids love to play with around the coaster whcih i think would look a little better then just plain concrete. It wouldn't have to be like a thick jungle. I would have it all pretty open so the kids can run around with bit's of themeing and water toys here and there. The most important thing though is they have to have water cannons for the crowed, I'm sure they would love it Anyway just my opinion Shaun ps. ive been thinking about this ride for a long time so I already have a pretty good planned vision of it in my head lol
  5. Yeah the "Swing Thing" would make an excellent ride and would fit into WnW real well. As I've been saying all week the most important thing with this ride is the themeing! You would want to theme it real well unlike the other ones that have been made that just fly over bare concrete and have a couple of sprinklers scatered around it. It could be themed really well though to something like a Tropical jungle type theme where you would have palms and trees and water fall type things all over the place. It's a real crowd involver too because they get their with all the water canons aiming at the coaster having a ball. You could have a nice water playground around the edge of it too blending in nicely with the themeing. And i don't know if you realised but each coaster car has a water tank under it and the riders can dump the water when ever they want on the people down below trying to squirt them. It would be a blast! WnW seem to be going along qite steadly with all their new atractions. They are reguluarly getting new ones which is good to see for a water park and is probaly out dooing all the other parks too. Shaun *Who is going to build his own theme park and thinks themeing is very important
  6. Lol Ok I'm with you now..... I was maening the 'top Terrace' When you first walk into Seaworld it sorta feels liks a shopping center or like I said the first time the MCG, because it is so crowed at the beginning of the day and it's all like shops and....... you know stuff I just want to get out of all that so i just keep walking untill I get out of the place, 'Which way to the theme park?' Maybe it's just me but the entrances to all the other theme parks are very open and welcoming and set the scene/mood of the park. Dreamworld is a classic example. it's got the nice big open entrance with the nice big pond, all the colourfull flowers and entertainers and the nice big roads that lead off into diffrn't directions of the park. Anyway Seaworld is a great park i'm just a perfectionist, that's all Shaun
  7. I'm the opposite Flea, i used to hate flat rides and neally spew everytime I rode them but now I just love them. The trick is to drink lots of water and not get dehydrated and I'm right for most the rides now. it's funny though because I can ride the Wipeout over and over and not feel sick at all but but then I can have one ride on a Merry'go round and I can feel shocking. It must be the diffrn't movements? I can't wait to ride a TopScan, from what i have read on other forums they are considered to be the pinnacle of all flat rides. So what's it like to ride Beetle? Is fast and disorientating or sort of slow and forcfull? Are they very popular or are they too intense? Here is a few more pics, I can't help myself They shouldn't take very long to load They are from the Mondial site www.Mondial.com Thanks Shaun
  8. Because if you have I'm jealous...... Shaun A.K.A WipeOut
  9. I know there is already a matrix topic going but I thought I would start a new one..... Anyway it was cool as, the effects were awsome, but don't get me started on the ending....... I was just thinking this aftrenoon what a great ride it would make and it quickly reminded my of Disney World's (One of those disney ones..) Tower of Terror. For anyone unfamilliar with Disney's Tower of Terror, it is a drop ride enclosed within a tower with heaps of theming, special affects and a decent story to back it up:) It's themed to the "Twiglight Zone" Check the site out http://www.tower-of-terror.com/ But can you just imagine it themed to the Matrix Reloaded. The ride could be themed on Trinadie going into the Matrix and racing in and out of the doors, running from the controller, along the highway and eventually getting thrown out the window of a high rise (with a slight pause and a spin ) and then droping straight down the side of the building to the pavement only to be........... I dont' want to spoil the end of the film. You would have special effects galore, particularly when you enter the matrix and when you are being chased and there are bullets flying slowmoe all over head The ride would kinda run along a track... Anyway it would probally cost a fortune but hay, I can dream. Any comments or ideas? Shaun *who's going to run his own theme park oneday with an inclosed drop ride
  10. I'm glad you agree Joz I didn't even think about the plaza, but your right! What a mess there! I didn't even think of that. The only time I go to the plaza is when i'm entering or leaving the park and I sorta forget it's there and never go near it. It reminds me of the MCG when you walk through it. Youv'e got those express type fast food outlets on the left and a big grandstand on your right and that's not really the atmosphere I'm after when i go to a theme park. Does the area get used much during the afternoon? Anyway Shaun
  11. Well serious here, last time i went (2 years ago) the place was like a maze to navigate your way around. It might only be a small park but it has a heck of a lot of walk ways. To get anywhere you have to always double back, go around in cirlcles, over bridges, under tunnels and half the paths lead to dead ends anyway and not to mention that doplphine cove is a mile away from everything else. A prime example is in the middle of the park around cartoon beach and the water rides. There are seriously tracks heading everywhere!! it is such a jumbel and for someone without my navagation skills you could be there for hours trying to get to the ride you want They have way to much squished in. At seaworld you are iether in an overcrowed area or in almost a desert area! And don't get me started on their public transport sytem........ Anyway just my opinion Shaun
  12. I never knew that? Can someone give me a quick wonderland history lesson there? Thanks Shaun
  13. That's ridiculous!! If i build a 10 foot dropride on top of Everest does that make it the tallest drop ride..... i don't think so. I agree that oneday our Giant drop will be beaten by a worthy contender but I still think that the giant drop is bloody tall! Anyway Shaun
  14. When you said it was a 4d atraction i asumed it must of been like a 3d Simulator, eg. a 3d batman ride, but it sounds like it's just like a 3d Imax screen? just what we wanted hay, anohter one... Shaun
  15. Are they doing anything special with the release of the new matrix movie? (like they did with harry potter) No advertising or anything....? Maybe they have a big Matrix themed b&m coaster hiding out the back for us to release with the new movie? j/k I can dream... I think a floorless or flying coaster would suit the theme just fine cya Shaun
  16. What are they doing to the Giant drop? Did they actualy remove the whole car? The waiting time must be painfully slow........ Shaun
  17. Very good TR Thanks for takeing your time to write it for us I'm no doctor but i would put a runny nose, cough and soar throught down to being a cold Although who knows what's in that water Shaun
  18. Lol your exactly right! It's in Lakes. How did you know that . I don't know if the spelling for Kingcona is right or not but it's something like that? It doesn't look right? 'King''Coon''A' Kingcona Country was another victim of the public liability insurance. When it found it's insurance had jumped from $15,000 to $85,000 a year it just wasn't profitable anymore. I was disapointed too because I was all looking forward to going there this year. I was probaly in Lakes about the same time you past through! You would of driven through Sale too then and that's where i live. Was there much smoke around when you drove through? You really went the long way to melbourne then if you drove all the way down through Lakes. Do you like the humid weather! I hate it when it's humid, it's all sticky and feels horible :x I can't stand it! Anyway Shaun
  19. Hi Jobe I thought Dreamworld was 'just for fun'?
  20. 44 degress in Victoria the other day and I sepnt all that day working in a kitchen with a broken air con! It's been raining up in Queensland hasn't it? Down here I have herd plenty of stories of people flying of the tabogoan track on the last sharp turn before the lift hill at Gumbia Park . The Gumbia Park tabogon is actualy on a concrete track. i rember when i was there once seeing someone coming up the lift hill with scrathches all over them from where they had fallen off the tobogan. ouch! I can't see how you could fall off though? You don't want to buy a tabogan track do you? Kingcuna country who just shut down can't sell their's. One more thing. One of my friends at school just got back from the gold coast and can't stop talking about the scobby doo coaster. I am so gealous Have fun Shaun
  21. It's got enough lift hills? Looks like a quarter of the track is a lift hill?
  22. I would just like to say that you would have to have the best site layout i haver seen. Just the green and blue and how everything is set out looks great and is so simple (which is good:)) Even the forums look great. Keep up the good work Shaun
  23. yeah I understand that but I still don't think it really fits in with dolphines and seals :? But i'm sure SW would do a good job of it anyway. I am also intrested in this shark thing? tell me more... It sounds great anyway. SO the board walk would actualy go out over the sea and you would have exhibits out there? Intersting What about if they had like an under water glass passage way like Under water world that you walked through and viewed the animals. They could even just have one these going under one of the dolphin pools. Anyway And I forgot to say welcome Seaboi Shaun
  24. What has Crocodiles got to do with the sea? I'm not doubting you but it doesn't really seem to fit the theme? :? Shaun
