  1. In saying that, they could maybe buy the building in which Sega World once occupied in Darling Harbour and create a little indoor park similar to what Sega World was, but themed around a mini Movie World which I think, is seen as Village Roadshow's strongest Australian park? It could be like a little 'taste' of Movie World but in Sydney and indoors? This idea may sound silly, but why doesn't Village Roadshow produce a takeover offer for Luna Park Sydney and transform it to the real beauty of which it once was? I see this a viable option for them once they takeover [if they do] Sydney Attractions Group. They could full re-vamp the Sydney tourism/attraction mood. I really feel some potential for Village Roadshow and they're previous experiance up at the Gold Coast in Sydney.
  2. I didnt know where to post this, so sorry. As Richard has posted a new news bulletin on the site about 'Village Roadshow announces takeover offer for Sydney Attractions Group' [link- http://roller-coaster.com.au/article.php?aid=159 ]. I've been thinking, what is your thoughts on this? I really think Village Roadshow should take over Sydney Attractions Group, I feel the attractions in Sydney that the Attractions Group own have so much more potential that isn't being reached and with Village Roadshow being in control, they could reach this potential as they own some fantastic attractions in Queensland and would obvisously have more experiance. With them taking over they could maybe even open new attractions or a similar version to Sega World [we can only dream, right?]. Anyways, your thoughts.
  3. Thanks for the photo Churros. Lol, see the coca-cola bottle in the corner of the pool, lol. Are they still sticking with the whole fake-mountain like before? I hope they do, it'll look stupid next to Terror Canyon. Also, have they been updating Terror Canyon at all? I think they should fully update the pool area considering they're doing the whole area.
  4. I really [personally] dont like the idea of putting arcades in amusement parks, just wastes space which could be used for new rides, shows etc. Especially at Dreamworld [off topic, but eh], they just plunk those remote control boats anywhere... it looks dodgey how they have them in the main fountain of Main street. However, I guess they'll do anything to get more profit.. meaning more attractions/rides. So its a debatable topic from my side. lol
  5. Any new updates on the coaster? Not long now 'til it'll open.
  6. Maybe they could be extending the building and making a new Harry Potter exhibit for the new Harry Potter movie that has recently come out? Also, who has the licensing for the new Simpson's movie.. is it Warner Bros. or what?
  7. Great update Ian. Love those pictures. I personally think there should maybe be another sidecar? Like, 3 sidecars per train. After all it is a family coaster? I like how the cars are different colours, adds more excitement I think. I agree with Gazza on the theming, I think it needs to have more effort put into it. Maybe (if room of course) they could build like a 'pretend' grandstand along the track somewhere and make it so guests and go up and watch the coaster on the course and take photos? Just think it needs some more effort, but we can only wait and see how it turns out.
  8. I actually quite like the 'lockers' that Dreamworld uses for The Claw. I thought it was a rather good idea with how they used them.
  9. The new photos look great! I hope that the loading are is built in like Cyclone, Tower of Terror and so on. I also hope that they extensively theme it. I personally feel the best themed ride up on the Gold Coast is Bermuda Triangle [sea World], Scooby Doo [Movie World] and The Claw [Dreamworld]. I'd really like to see them sorta 'copy' the loading area idea that they used with Bermuda Triangle at Sea World. With how you go into a pre-briefing about the ride. I'd love to see that, depending on the theme of the ride. I also hope there is a ride's shop, it'll be excellent.
  10. Also notice the Blue Lagoon volcano has been turned into an Events Venue, which is now available for hire.
  11. Hahaha. You really had me there. I was like " What on earth is Dreamworld doing!!". Looking good, coming together a bit quick? I haven't heard.. but what land will this ride/attraction cover? Only the land which the Model T Cars once occupied? Can someone like edit that picture below in another colour showing how much/where the new ride/attraction will be? lol.
  12. You may know more than us, but please. Stop acting like you know everything and we know nothing. Your a Ride Op. not a member of the management team. Sorry if you think you not acting like this, but this is the vibe I'm getting from you. Plus, if Dreamworld management knew you were giving away secrets/information about a new attraction.. wouldn't you get into major trouble.. possibly even sacked?
  13. I disagree with you here. Sorry. But each is entitled to their own opinions and I respect that. People are entitled to their own opinions. We need to respect that. Excellent idea! Maybe you should write a letter to Dreamworld. Do they know what we think about this recreation? I doubt it, But if they knew.. maybe they would improve it? As I said earlier. Sadly the Australia public doesn't care about theming anymore. Dreamworld, Movie World and the like have learn of this. Shown in Superman Escape and when Wild West Falls needed re-theming after the fire.
  14. Gotta agree there. We should all complain to Dreamworld! It just appears the Australian public don't care about theming, hence why they don't worry bout it.
  15. I love how people join here, tell us stuff that we already know and try to make themselves sound like they were first to know. lol. Sorry dude, that cracked me up.
  16. I'm with you! You guys don't make sense to me. You cannot prejudge this via a few footings a pieces of track. Give it a few weeks/months.
  17. How does this theme of the coaster fit into River Town? Does this see the new theming of River Town? If the tracks were a dark colour [black?], I could see them theming it to a underground motorbike racing cult/group? Sounds like something similar to Fast and the Furious. I'd love to see a coaster themed around that situation. It could be a massive drug bust and your group have to get away? lol.
  18. Excellent photos there Richard! I really hope Dreamworld utlies the land they have, uses the land to the 100% full potential. It's good to see construction underway. Does anyone know the theme of the coaster/ride? I don't mind that yellow they have chosen.
  19. Discuss your nightmares, which somehow include theme parks within them. Last night I woke up after dreaming that I was spending a day at DreamWorld, the time came when I wanted to ride the Tower Of Terror. After queuing for half an hour, it was my chance to ride. I sat down and the ride attendant lowered the restraints. Before I knew it the train was blasting out of the station and along the track. Suddenly a very loud bang sounded throughout the area and the train went firing up the 'L' section. Gravity kicked in and we started to descend. However, before fully descending on the 'L' section the train flipped and the train was no longer connected the tracks. Everyone screamed and the train was falling freely in the air to the ground. The next thing I remember is waking up breathing really fast. lol So, anyone got any others?
  20. Well, i'm guessing he/she is giving them away.. Hence the thread name "*FREE* - Adult at kids prices voucher/s - not qld only". Last time I checked, 'free' ment you got something without paying.
  21. Oh fun, 2d characters. I'd rather see a new action stage show than some 2d Shrek one, but thats my opinon.
  22. Yeah, when I went I found it really boring to. I found Spacewalker boring as you went round in circles, unlike Infinity, the place had doors and different rooms going everywhere. Continuely surprising. Infinity on the other hand was amazing! We need one of them in Sydney.
  23. They should bring back a show for the attraction. It's really boring.
  24. I think they need some more jets and stuff in the River Rapids. Something more like Snowy River Rampage that was at WonderLand. They were good. No matter how many times you went on it, you always got drenched. I agree. When I went to Dreamworld the line for the Log Ride was a 45 min minute wait then, when we got up on the bridge part, they had to call a maintance guy to fix the lift. Which broke twice.
