  1. Oh, thanks. It certinally is looking good. But sadly, I've gotta wait another 3 years til I can ride it. With the addition of Batwing, does this mean they will re-create the Batman Ride 2?
  2. Wow, It looks bigger that I thought it would be. Will this have lights on it, kinda like Luna Park's ferris wheel does?
  3. Any photos? They really haven't mucked around at all with this. The colour scheme sounds alright, however it will they have a banner that is in place above the gondola's?
  4. They aren't wasting time with this. I hope it's as good as we are hoping it to be.
  5. I'd love to see the woodie twister around throughout the Wild West section of the park and Wild West Falls. Even if it's able to be done, have it go through parts of the mountain and go across that bridge of Wild West Falls (the one that's meant to be blown up). That way, it would seem more real, that something will get blown up? Also, to add more realism to the ride and theming. They could maybe try to copy Disney Land with the Expedition Everest themed coaster trains? But, give it a move wild west, rusted theme. This would add more of a mining, rusted old theme to the Wild West area and the ride. I'd really hate it if Movieworld went for any sort of inversions in the Wooden coaster, I feel it would just reuin the feeling and overall appearance of the coaster.
  6. I'm only doing my part in the communitiee Matt. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
  7. Sounds a fairly low budgeted ride/attraction. I believe, if it was to be re-created, they could do a lot better with WBMW setting the Australian bench mark for themeing higher and higher since then.
  8. Ghostship, House Of Wax and Scooby Doo (1 & 2) were all filmed in our Warner Bros. Studios.
  9. I was surfing on Wikipedia, and I came across some 'trivia' on the MovieWorld's wikipedia. The site claims that; In January 2006 it was announced by Warner Roadshow studio owners Village Theme Park Management and Warner World Australia that they were suing special effects expert David Fletcher and Wax Productions because of a fire on the set during production which destoyed a whole studio. Just wondering, What happened for this? Was this 'caused in the making of House Of Wax with the massive house being burn't down? Thanks.
  10. I'd like to see one of these opening on Australian shores? I think it would/could suit Movie World very well. Maybe themed to a Matrix or Terminator 3/4 ride?
  11. Sounds fun! I seriously hope they have another shot at the industry. The Titanic ride sounds pretty low budget'ed, does anyone have photos?
  12. Firstly, SORRY to bring up a REALLY old topic. But, do you ever think Fox would try another hit at this? And, would it work? I'd love to see them have another go at it.
  13. This is ridiculous. I've seriously had enough of the crap that goes on inside this forum. Everyone b****ing about everyone, no one can spell properly, everyone who is joining up has no clue about the amusement park industry. This is probably my farewell. You'll see me around here when people on here start to grow up a little bit. *NOTE: This is not aimed at anyone, but at (nearly) everyone. This is only MY personal opinion.*
  14. Yeh well when we went during indy, Scooby was closed to maintanence. And yes, it did suck! During maintanence do they add/romove or edit any parts of the coaster/theming or so on?
  15. Yes, But as far as I'm concerned this world record isn't Sea Worlds. It's the owners of the wheel. Any pictures? Has construction started?
  16. Keep it as an all 4 raft slide. It's more funner that way, you get to see 3 other people crapping themselves!
  17. That's true. Superman, Batman, Looney tunes and so on would attract an all age audience. However, If MovieWorld did create and theme the ride correctly, I think it would be able to suit an all age audience. Take Scooby for example.. it's sorta 'horror' themed, and if I was little kid, I really wouldn't want to go on it (even though they might not pass the hieght). Thats the thing, themeparks need to arrange rides to accomodate different age barriers. Hence why DW have created Nick Central, Wiggles World etc. I'd still love to see a Woodie go in around WWF area. As I said before, that area of the park needs something more. I'm just hopeing with BatWing that this is the beginning of them more 'populating' the themed areas. So, hopefully later down the track we could see something new go in Superman area, and it might end up looking like a city
  18. I would have like to see the Gremlins ride stay.. However, for that they'd need to really update it to todays technology etc. BACK ON TOPIC: When I visited Movie World around 1 week after Indy, I took some photos of BatWing. Would you like to see these?
  19. A nice haunted mansion, or ghost train would suit House of Wax better. And at the end, they could try to make it seem like the whole building was melting away (like in the movie). However, if they were going to do this, I think they should use the same contractors DW used to make Big Red Car in Wiggles world. Also, like I said before.. I'm not sure if it's able to be done yet. BUT, they should try to have 2 different course's. Like both starting in the same station, however half way during the ride 2 different cars go on different course's. And then at the end merge together again.
  20. 1- I feel a woodie would REALLY suit the Wild West area at MW cause, you have to walk all that way just for WWF, it's a bit of a walk for one ride. I'm not paying out on the ride, it's great. I'd just love to see something more done up that end of the park. 2- I'm not really sure a Brothers Grim styled ride would suit MW. MW is already low on space for construction, and building a ride like this would mean a whole new styled 'area'. I think, MW should really just focus on the 'lands/areas' they currently have, like: -Chinatown (Lethal Weapon area). -Gotham City (Batman area). -Metropolis City (Superman Escape area). -Main Street (main street area, duh!). -Wild West (WWF area). -Looney Tunes Village (Looney Tune area, duh!). 3. If, MW was to create a Brothers Grim styled ride. They should, or could just create a "Horror Town" area. Maybe cutting off from behind Scooby. In this area they could incorporate the following movies into rides: House of Wax Shinning Interview with a Vampire Ghost Ship The Exorcist Clockwork Orange Little Shop of Horrors Deliverance Witches of Eastwick Bettlejuice 13 ghosts & so on... 4. I'm not sure whom created the movie. But I remember when I went to Disney Euro in 1999-2000 (New Years time) we went on a ghost train that was themed around some movie. I think, not correctly sure it was Psycho? It's the movie and there's like a motel and a massive masion ontop of a hill. And a guy kills people who stay in the motel? ... Yeh well my point is, They could also use this (If MW have to rights to).
  21. One reason to start advertising before the ride opens is to give the public another reason to go there. And to show the public they're just not doing anything.
  22. Sorry Gazza, But I have to agree with mickey_079 on this one. Sure, I wouldn't like DW to get one of these, I was just using it as an example. However, I would like to see one of these back on Australian shores.
  23. Thats freaking funny! I wish I was there, I would have laughed so much.
  24. I would have loved to see this ride stay and serve on Australian shores. However, I'm happy that the ride will continue to thrill hundreds more before it is put to rest! Also, is this ride a one of a kind? Or could DW buy on if they wanted, like a new one?
