We are now accepting orders for 2006 Roller-Coaster.com.au Calendars. Click here to pre-order now! These calendars feature 12 high-quality photographs from theme parks across the globe. This year we are opening it up to include parks world-wide, not just those in Australia. Pre-order your calendar and it cost $25.00 including all shipping/postage costs (within Australia). We accept payment via credit card, bank transfer, cheque and money order. Roller-Coaster.com.au has produced calendars for the past two years. They feature high-quality photographs and are professionally printed on glossy paper and bound in Australia by a printing company specialising in calendars. You can expect that this year's calendar will exceed the quality of those from the past few years. Anyone who purchased them the last two years will tell you that they are great quality. Roller-Coaster.com.au Subscribers can read this thread for details about their options. This year we are accepting orders via PayMate as primary method. They are charged in AUD and you can use a credit card or transfer money from your bank account to your PayPal account. Other methods including a direct bank deposit or money order or cheque can still be used. I ask that you contact me for more details if you wish to pay this way. Printing of calendars is expected to take place in mid-November to have them shipped to all customers by late-November. How you can contribute: If you have any high-quality and high-resolution photographs (preferably recent) of any rides or attractions from any park anywhere, just send it to us. To meet the high standards needed we ask that your photographs are at least 4 megapixel in resolution and clear, bright photos. There shouldn't be any immediately obvious faces (a shot of an entire coaster train for instance is fine, but not one zoomed in on one or two faces, or one with people visible standing between you and the ride). Obviously they should be your own photographs. Just attach them in an email to us. If your photograph makes the calendar you will be given a free copy of it, plus the satisfaction of having your photograph seen by theme park enthusiasts across the country. Please note that the payment system has been changed recently, because I believe it is too much hassle to signup for PayPal and go through the steps required to order a calendar. Instead we're back to using PayMate, an Australian system which requires no registration to pay by credit card. I expect a preview of the calendar will be available in the next few weeks.

It's been nearly two weeks and my post still hasn't been answered. Maybe if you're charging people for things it should be clearly laid out what is and what's not being given to those suscribers? I'd also like to point out that I remember seeing something about "only" having an avatar on r-c by being a suscriber then yet I managed to grab an avatar. What gives with that? I feel guilty and then yet so special.

The reason for the delay in a response is that I have been away for most of the time since Christmas - until just yesterday. The resolution of each page of the calendar does vary based on the original photograph from 150dpi (which is standard high-quality print resolution as you'd see in most glossy magazines) - which is around 2.5mp for the page size used, up to 300dpi (very high resolution as you'd see in a high quality coffee table book etc.) which is around 5mp for the page size used. I do apologise for not getting up a preview calendar. Interest in the calendars was significantly down on previous years, so the focus was shifted to making sure those who had already expressed interest got the best product possible, rather than focus aimlessly on converting new members. When you're dealing with uncompressed 1GB+ print files, it is actually a pretty timely process to extract compressed versions of the images. I know neither of you have any intention of purchasing a calendar, so I do appreciate the attempt to stir what trouble you can.
