Yep, that's the guy. As far as I know, the ride is still in pretty good nik. As I said it was closed a while back and you could see a guy touching up some of the paint on the launch track, but other than that there really hasn't been any sign of deterioration or anything. Only thing to note is that a bobcat was doing some digging for what looked like plumbing near the building where the hyrdaulic launch stuff is kept. Maybe they need to set something up to improve the system or something. I really have no idea myself. I don't think they are doing any major updates. It is strange though seeing how they have juggled the dates around lately.

It's got me a little nervous as I'm heading up to the Gold Coast for the first time in a few years (so I've yet to see/ride all the new stuff). I'll be up on the 8th - 12th... fingers crossed!
