  3. Hey guys, in this thread I will post previews of my RCT3 creations which hopefully will one day be completed. I begin with my recreation of Buzzsaw at Dreamworld. Hope you like it! Comments are welcome, good and bad.

  5. I have been wanting to raise the question for a while of whether charging for the short term lockers actually invalidates any claims the park's make (in any advertising or signage at the gate). For example, if they claim that your entry includes all rides or unlimited rides, then this is in fact made false by forcing the use of charged lockers (either on people who attend alone so therefore have no alternative, or any couples / groups who wish to ride together) on anyone who brings a single item into the park, i.e. everyone. The simple fact is that you cannot attend Movie World for the advertised price and ride all of the rides without incurring extra charges. And I believe in most circumstances if something is not included in the price that that should be clearly advertised. If you were to rock up to the park tomorrow alone Superman Escape & Green Lantern would effectively be up charges for you, and that just isn't right. I have been wanting to look into this for a while and haven't had a chance. But, if any of you guys want to give a bit of thought as to whether any claims the parks make are contradicted by their loose items policy, I'd be keen to hear what you've got as I would be interested in putting it to Village and any relevant regulatory departments.

  6. My issue now is that the short term locker hire has been raised to $2... I could afford the $1 but considering how often I visit I will pay 2x my pass cost on lockers this financial year Registered a formal complaint with Guest Services but never heard back from the appropriate manager

  7. I find it kind of ironic Dreamworld have gone from having one of the longest roller coasters in the world to one of the shortest.

  8. Pay for popcorn/drink combo when buying the tickets online and you get $1 off the cost of the combos at Event Cinemas. Smart people venture into the park with a sports bottle from previous visits and pay the refill price. If you already have a drink why would you want to buy another? Food pricing may be high but they are a business and they have to make money somehow and cheap passes will not do it. A discount would be nice but remember you only paid $90-100 for a pass with around 12 months on it. Weigh it up against paying the old annual pass pricing (around $200 for each park) then complain about a "high price" meal on top of that! Theme parks are luxury expenditure items same with any other form of paid entertainment. Lunch at a theme park is for most people an uncommon thing and I am sure that allowing $5-10 extra on top of what you would pay at a fast food outlet for an equivalent isn't that much to ask.
