  2. ^ Ok but why would they all this work for a defunct ride I'm not saying that the ride is coming back but it seems kinda odd for them to do quite a bit for this ride.

  4. Gold Wally looks worse in person imo… I thought it looks super tacky a few weeks ago at Spooky Nights. Some gold highlights (maybe his hat or something) would have been much better

  5. Jet Rescue getting work done to its track (and there is new signage for closed rides) I believe this has been like this for some time, but the access path that was alongside the log ride station is now fenced off They are replacing the old rockwork along the old splashdown for the log ride They are replacing the bridges over Shark Bay And Patrick’s is almost entirely removed because of Leviathan construction. All that remains now is the attraction signage and control booth.

  6. They’ve somewhat tied the front of the park up, there is some signage throughout the park and they’ve painted Wally gold.

  7. I know Vikings Revenge has been discussed on this thread already but I was at Seaworld last night and honestly would love to know what they are planning to do with the space and the ride itself. Its just an eyesore, either refurbish and reopen, or remove it.

  8. This was a horrible experience. Just an excuse to sell food for dinner. Nothing special on offer, the 'light show' is lacklustre to say the least. In addition, the entrance and parking traffic for a 3-4 hour event is a disaster and horribly managed. I will never go back and do not recommend to anyone.

  9. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter. If they saved a ton of money by not modifying the support structure greatly, brilliant. Same goes for the launch, no doubt they saved a ton of money by having to buy only a third of the launch system traditionally needed for this kind of ride. And I think most enthusiasts are totally okay with them saving a buck, so long as they're using their savings to make the ride better elsewhere. I think then that the beef that enthusiasts have lies with the fact that they stick out like a sore thumb and not a lot has been done to minimise that, despite the extra capital available to do exactly that. I personally feel this way about the launch - I think the largest missing Steel Taipan will have on launch will be the lack of anything to build anticipation from the station to the launch, despite having the cost-savings to do it. I don't think it needed to be a 1:1 Blue Fire pre-launch with animatronics etc. but having a tunnel in the similar style of the other rock-work to hide the switch track combined with some audio effects and mist would've absolutely made all the difference.
