  1. Project Zero delivers the visual wow-factor for Gumbuya World - towering over everything else in the park. It brings the "pre-entrance hype" as it can be seen from the highway and carpark/entrance. I'm also really digging the space retheme. The black truss support structure looks like a rocket launch tower; suiting the theme perfectly. Also, the white tin shed station and queue reminds me of Wonderland's Space Probe 7. It'll be interesting to see how reliable the ride is after the relocation/refurb, and how it rides. For more pics see here: https://www.parkz.com.au/search/photos/location/project-zero

  3. Got to visit the park on Saturday 12/11/2022. Wow! Truly amazing to see rollercoasters of this scale finally being built in Victoria - it's been a long time coming. Construction is progressing very nicely, but still lots to be done before the Dec 23rd opening. The excitement from park goers was tangible, lots of people taking a look at construction. Below are a few construction photos of TNT. Will upload Project Zero construction updates later today. Lots more TNT construction photos can be found here: https://www.parkz.com.au/search/photos/location/unknown-suspended-family-coaster

  4. As if Medicare isn’t covering the bill? This ain’t America. I can’t help but feel he is victimising himself and taking advantage of his injury for financial gain.

  5. A few reasons; You need to allow time for the full extent of (and ongoing impact of) the injury to manifest itself. This can take at least a couple of months. You are likely to engage with the park either via counsel or directly to reach a settlement before having to go to the time and expense of going to court. The park will involve their insurer who will want to investigate, collect evidence and may wish to negotiate a settlement. You need to spend the time finding appropriate counsel, and then providing them with an appropriate summation and brief of evidence.

  6. But they were redesigned, and simple hold on tight, I've been on some rough waterslides, and I've never fallen out. I game enough to put money on the fact that he responsible. Thousands of people would ride that slide every year. If it were a design issue one would expect people to fall out of a tube on triple vortex more often. Not just now.

  7. @aussienetman lawsuits aren't Dreamworld exclusive. All the parks are peppered with them.

  9. Having two significant coaster additions open up at the same time in a single park is pretty hard to beat (especially in a place like Melbourne which hasn’t really had any major coasters until now). But this is still an impressive addition to Funfields and will help them compete with Gumbuya this season. Right now Funfields absolutely blow Gumbuya out of the water (no pun intended) when it comes to water rides as GW’s current water park offering is pretty lacklustre IMHO. I think it’s smart for FF to continue to invest in and push the “Water Park” aspect of their park as it could give them a decent competitive advantage over GW going forward. Meanwhile, Adventure Park is the park I fear will struggle the most. Now that the bar has been raised by GW (and to some extent FF) I don’t know if it has the same kind of budget the other VIC parks do to be able to complete with them. Hopefully they’ve got something up their sleeve.
