  1. Any new updates? are trains on track, or buildings going up?
  2. Hey guys, Just to put this out there but doesnt this ride have the steepest drop in the world. 3 of them in fact. http://www.youtube.com/user/themeparkreviewTPR#p/u/230/9hjHQ9aZT80
  3. Id like to see the front cars of the train face forwards like it was, the back cars face backwards and the cars in the middle sit back to back, (so you look sideways) that would be freaky going over the different loops Not sure if possible. but they have done everything else you can think of with coaster trains.
  4. Hey who said you cant have a jetski on land http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=Nq8Fn55axd4&...feature=related LOL
  5. Just an Idea that I thought would have been cool. The could have built a temporary dam near the bridge, Then dug the area where the jet ski coaster would be so the pillars are below the water level of the lake. Once the coaster is finished, the could remove the dam and flood the coaster area with water, Adding the the coaster experience of being over water when on a jet ski. It would also make the bridge to corkscrew serve a purpose, cause it looks stupid having a bridge over a tiny bit of water. Just an opinion.
  6. hey guys we are looking to go back to the goldcoast parks having not been there for about 4 years now. I have been there many times, but the people we are taking with us from melbourne have never seen a purpose built ride, only carnival rides. Id like to give them the most attractions possible to see. so my question is this. Does anyone know what rides are closed down each year for maitence and when? We are looking to go up around early september. I know the websites show the maitenence of rides, but sometime this is not up to date when your planning a holiday around the down time. cheers
  7. I like Gazza idea, Thats awesome. Kind of reminds me of Indiana jones at Disneyland, which I really loved. Another thought, when having the freeway scene at the end, the cars have a top speed obvioulsy at about 12k or so, If the walls and ceiling were soft like a canvas belt on rollers, and moving the oposite way to the cars, you can simulate speed over 120k, the walls wouldnt have to be detailed to much either, cause the speed they would be rolling, you wouldnt see much detail. the cars could even slow down a bit to make a 20 meter piece of track seem like a couple of KM on a freeway, to make the effect more real, there would have to have a wind tunnel built in too. but speed is a real thrill, now Simulate it!!!!!! Failing this Mega/giga coaster gets my vote.
  8. Is there a reason why I cant see the Photos?
  9. Rabid do you have/know what the layout plans will be? if so can you tell us or show us some kind of track layout/elements
  10. Hey guys I just saw the construction video of Kingda Ka. The tallest and Fastest coaster in the world, (well soon it will be) Looks really good cause its time lapsed. I recommend you to have a look at it. http://www.sixflags.com/parks/greatadventure/ It would be cool if Movie world did this for Superman.
  11. If this coaster doesnt have any inversions, Do you think they will leave out the overhead restraints? (I hope so)
  12. Whats wrong with Prospect, I live in prospect and your saying its not a good area? Hmmm lets see, where will all the freeways from the north/south, East/west intersect, Well if you dont know it will be right past the old wonderland site, So I think its a great spot for a Themepark.
  13. Adam Where did you get your avatar from, Was it somewhere from movie world web site cause the rollercoaster track in your avatar liike like it goes over a building or something.
  14. Its been the superman saying since Superman was invented. I just thought if you were building a tophat around a superman theme, It would be silly not to make the Tophat themed around a building, Its kind of tacky but thats superman.
  15. Having the Tophat Coaster and themeing it with Superman, it would be silly not to have the coaster go over a building as in Faster than a speeding bullet - Launch More powerful than a locomotive - Well to get the heavy train to that speed in that time you need some GRUNT!!!!! Leap tall buildings in a single bound - The Tophat Sounds like SUPERMAN to me.
  16. The first 10 mins was on Lethal Weapon, Wild Wild West and tryouts for dancers/entertainers in the costumes. And a little bit about guys that look after the interests of the guests and stuff.
  17. Hey guys Just wondering if anyone else saw the Behind the scenes show of Movieworld tonight at 8.30pm, on the discovery channel It wasnt bad, it showed what goes into the training and hand picking of the characters and things like that. Also speaking of tv shows Im wondering if there is a discovery channel show for this year about the lastest thrill rides from around the world.... I have a copy of one that had xcelerator and TTD on it but I was hoping they were going to make more. It was call Extreme Machine thrill rides. Any knowledge of this would be great. Thanks
  18. Hey guys Im planning a trip to California and was wondering if anyone has been to Marine World San Fran, If so is it any good or should we give it a miss and do another park instead? Any help appreciate.
  19. Hey guys just wondering how many of you guy know (im sure most of you do) that there are two lifts on the scooby doo coaster. I thought it was cool how they did this by the way.
  20. I remember a few years back now something about the wipeout breaking down with people still on it, and they were stuck for a few hours or so, does anyone know what happened cause I only remember hearing about it, never saw anything on it.
  21. I was doing a bit of surfing round the net and found a lists of the "best of" coasters. Under the best Steel Wild Mouse I was surprised to see that scooby doo was not in the list of 20, After looking at the #1 in the world, (by american public votes which would never get an Australian ride in there) on RCDB it didnt even seem to compare to Scooby Doo.....(even thought Im comparing a ride that I have never riden to one that I have and love) it just has more to offer on paper, the lift, theming, reverse section etc etc. Anyone else had this thought, I mean what in your opinion has the best themeing/experience in Australia? what ride have you riden for the first time, and thought "That was a complete package"
  22. Yeah, it has been my choice of flat ride for a few years now, I only go the goldcoast every couple of years so its hard to tell if the ride is getting old or not. Still a top ride though, and cant wait to ride "The Claw", I may just change my favorite flat ride after all. Anyways any footage of the ride would be great, I was trying to explain to a friend who has never been to Dreamworld that the rides arms can go in both directions, and he was saying that all top spins have the arms locked together. I just need onride footage to prove my point, (also cause i would just love to see it in action again, I find it amazing to watch.)
  23. Hey Richard Do you have a video of the full cycle of the wipeout???? If not it would be great if someone could get it and post it up on here, Ta
  24. So has anyone here been on the ride since the fire? I would like to know if the themeing has all been restored in the WWF.
